Room may have had bed bugs as we walked out with bites that were consistent with bed bug bites. I didn't see any evidence of bed bugs when I was there but I washed and dryed everything I could as soon as I got home. The worst though was due to a scheduling error a manager tried to break into the room while we were in there. I was asleep as I had gotten in at 5 am. When she couldn't get in due to the latch lock, she started screaming into the room. I was undressed and half asleep. Only after she left did they bother calling me about checkout on the phone. You do NOT break into someone's room! You call the room, and then if need be call the police to evict someone. I woke up and thought I was being robbed. The breakfast ran out of everything by 8 am and they had nothing else to put out so the person said. on top of all that, this is on the direct flight path for landing jets. They fly low over the hotel and they are LOUD. Almost entirely through the night. I travel for work and I stay at hotels 60 + nights out of a year. This is one of the worst I've ever been to.
For travelers seeking "Hotels Near Of Me" with a focus on convenience to the airport and value-added amenities in the Atlanta area, the Hampton Inn & Suites Atlanta Airport West/Camp Creek Pkwy presents itself as a prominent choice. Located at 3450 Creek Pointe Way, East Point, GA 30344, USA, this hotel is part of the Hilton family of brands, known for its consistent quality and guest-focused services.
Environment and Location:
The Hampton Inn & Suites Atlanta Airport West/Camp Creek Pkwy is strategically located just off Interstate 285, placing it approximately 4 to 5 miles from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). This direct proximity is a significant advantage for air travelers, particularly supported by the hotel's complimentary 24-hour airport shuttle service. The hotel is situated in East Point, offering a suburban environment that is generally quieter than the city center, yet well-connected to major areas.
One of the strongest environmental aspects of this location is its immediate adjacency to Camp Creek Marketplace. This large retail and dining complex is often directly across the street or a very short drive away, providing guests with abundant options for shopping, groceries, and a wide variety of restaurants. This makes it highly convenient for guests who prefer to dine out or need to pick up essentials during their stay. Other nearby points of interest include the Georgia International Convention Center, which is typically within a 5-10 minute drive. While downtown Atlanta attractions like Mercedes-Benz Stadium, State Farm Arena, and the Georgia Aquarium are further afield (approximately 10-12 miles), they are accessible via highway. It is important to note, as some reviews indicate, that the hotel is located on a direct flight path for landing jets, which can result in significant noise, particularly during the night, a factor for light sleepers to consider.
Services and Amenities:
As a Hampton Inn & Suites, this hotel emphasizes delivering consistent and complimentary services that enhance the guest experience. A highlight is the free hot breakfast served daily, typically a buffet that includes various hot items like eggs, sausage, and waffles, along with continental options, fresh fruit, and coffee. This is a significant value for guests and is often well-regarded.
Connectivity is well-covered with complimentary Wi-Fi available throughout the entire property, including all guest rooms and public areas, with reported speeds of 50+ Mbps. For guests traveling by car, free self-parking is provided on-site. The 24-hour complimentary airport shuttle service is a critical convenience for airport transfers.
Recreational amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, offering a seasonal option for relaxation and a fitness center that operates 24/7, allowing guests to maintain their exercise routines. The fitness center may include a Peloton® Bike with toe cages. For business needs, the hotel provides a business center and typically one meeting room with around 650 sq. ft. of event space, suitable for small to medium-sized gatherings. A self-service laundromat is also available for guest use, a valuable amenity, especially for longer stays.
Guest rooms are designed for comfort and functionality. All 119 rooms are non-smoking and air-conditioned. Standard amenities in each room include a flat-screen TV with cable programming, a refrigerator, microwave, coffee/tea maker, work desk with an ergonomic chair, iron, and ironing board. Private bathrooms feature a shower/tub combination, complimentary toiletries, and a hairdryer. Room types vary from King Rooms and Queen Rooms with two Queen beds to King Studio Suites, often including a sofa bed, providing options for different party sizes. Connecting rooms are available upon request, and cribs/infant beds can be provided free of charge, though extra beds are generally not available.
Features and Policies:
The Hampton Inn & Suites brand is known for its "100% Hampton Guarantee," aiming for guest satisfaction. The hotel was opened in 2001 and last renovated in 2017 or 2021 (information varies slightly by source), indicating regular updates to maintain modern standards. The property has a 24-hour front desk. Check-in time is typically from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM (though some sources mention a wider window for check-in) and check-out is by 11:00 AM. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. The minimum age for check-in is 21. Cash is generally not accepted for payment at this hotel, and credit cards are preferred.
The hotel is pet-friendly, allowing dogs and cats on request, but a non-refundable fee applies (e.g., $75 for 1-4 nights, $125 for 5+ nights, with a maximum of two pets). The property is entirely non-smoking indoors, with fees assessed for smoking violations. For group bookings (more than 9 rooms), different policies and additional fees may apply.
Customer reviews offer diverse perspectives on the guest experience. Many guests consistently praise the hotel's staff, including the front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast teams, for being very helpful, polite, attentive, kind, and friendly. The room size is often described as generous, and furniture is noted as well-kept. Recently renovated bathrooms are also a common positive highlight. However, some significant issues have been reported. Concerns about cleanliness include potential bed bugs, as indicated by bites, although direct evidence was not always seen. Operational issues have been particularly critical, with one guest describing a disturbing incident where a manager attempted to forcefully enter their room without proper notification or procedure, leading to a feeling of being "robbed" and a severe breach of privacy. The guest reported being asleep when the manager, due to a scheduling error, tried to enter and then started "screaming into the room" when unable to open the door due to the latch lock. This happened before any phone call about checkout was made. Problems with breakfast running out of items early in the morning (e.g., by 8 AM) and staff stating there was "nothing else to put out" have also been mentioned, leading to disappointment for guests relying on the complimentary meal. The significant noise from low-flying jets due to the direct flight path is a recurring complaint, severely impacting sleep quality for some guests who travel frequently ("Almost entirely through the night"). While some guests find the rooms clean and comfortable, others have noted issues like fitting sheets being too small for king-size beds. These mixed reviews highlight that while the staff can be a strong point, operational inconsistencies, particularly regarding privacy and core services like breakfast availability, and environmental factors like noise, can significantly impact a guest's stay.
Promotional Information and Value Proposition:
The Hampton Inn & Suites Atlanta Airport West/Camp Creek Pkwy positions itself as a reliable, convenient, and value-packed option for travelers. The inclusion of free hot breakfast, free Wi-Fi, and a 24-hour airport shuttle are major selling points that appeal to a wide range of guests looking for efficiency and cost savings. Its Hilton Honors affiliation allows guests to earn and redeem points, further enhancing its value for loyal Hilton customers.
The hotel's close proximity to Camp Creek Marketplace is frequently emphasized, highlighting the ease of access to dining and shopping. The presence of an outdoor pool and fitness center adds to the appeal for leisure travelers. While prices vary, a stay typically ranges from around $100 to $180 per night, depending on the season and demand. For those prioritizing a solid brand, complimentary amenities, and close airport access, this Hampton Inn & Suites aims to provide a functional and generally comfortable stay, although potential guests should be aware of the reported issues regarding noise and occasional operational lapses, including significant concerns about privacy and consistency of services.

May 23, 2025 · David PetersonThe hotel front staff was very helpful. The housekeeping staff was polite and attentive to our needs. The breakfast staff was super kind & friendly. The room size was huge. All well-keep furniture. The bathroom was clean and newly renovated. There is plenty of handicap parking. The only takeaway was that the fitting sheet on the king-size bed was too small.
Feb 11, 2025 · H DavisMarie & Amala were very nice & hospitable. The continental breakfast was really good. The hotel was always clean & well kept. The location is in a good spot for tourists. Grace, was very rude, condescending, unwelcoming, & quite annoying. She was nasty from the phone call until my arrival. I'm also displeased with the surprising $25 holding charge, limit of water given to guests, & failure to honor the late checkout. Housekeeping failed to adhere to my request for towels & room cleaning. This was just not one of my best getaways.

All the staff members were all welcoming and inviting. The best part about the Hotel was their breakfast! Ms. Sophia is over the kitchen and she does an excellent job preparing a delectable breakfast daily with a friendly smile. Thanks again Ms. Sophia!
