Rooms look like they have not been updated since the 80s. Though mostly clean, there is little attention to detail. For example, if you put the toilet lid down, you'd see a missing piece where some gunk was sitting. The hair dryer in the room barely had any life left in it. The best it could do is burn your hand as the handle heated to extreme temperatures while a whisper of air escaped it. The waiting area in the lobby could not sit the enormous amount of elderly awaiting the trolley tours. Surely, it could not fit my party waiting on the one front desk worker doing their best to check the crowd in while their coworkers looked on.

Jul 25, 2025 · B TThe kids had fun at the water park, but it definitely could use some updates. The arcade was a big disappointment because nearly half the games were out of service, including the photo booth. The Skittles machine didn't work correctly and we ended up with less than what we paid for, and the resort didn't refund us the $6 we paid for the Skittles cup. The room was clean but nothing special, but we just got the standard room. The restaurant was closed Mondays, which is the day we stayed, and we weren't aware of that when we booked. Still had the free continental breakfast on the second floor though. Overall, we would probably stay again, but we were still a bit disappointed
Jul 31, 2025 · Heather ChavezThis place desperately needs a renovation. The rooms have been untouched for well over a decade. Everything is old, worn looking and just dumpy. Our door barely closed because it was so beat up. None of the ice machines worked, and even one of the elevators was broken this past weekend with full occupancy. Thankfully, the staff was smart to open the freight elevator during checkout, and when people returned in the evening to help decompress people waiting. The staff was very kind and helpful, but management and whoever runs this place needs to wake up and put some money into renovations. Likely won’t plan to stay there again for a baseball tournament until this can happen - such a shame because the kids do love the waterpark! Location is great, time to take advantage!
Jun 30, 2025 · Mary Ella KenefakeJust wow. Two days and maintenance was needed many times. The rooms are a bit outdated and there were multiple issues in the bathroom. We had issues with the shower to the point the water spigot shut off hitting my fiance in the shin hard. One elevator was shutdown off and on while the other was making a scraping noise past the second floor when moving. Water park was half functional, interactive pieces were rusted and not useable. Slides were nice though. Rumors are it's being shutdown for a remodel which is much needed.
Jun 26, 2025 · Alexzandra RibichI have to say that I was so nervous about staying here after reading the reviews. I wanted to take my kids (1,3,7) on a short trip that they would enjoy and the Grand Harbor resort did not disappoint! I called to reserve the room and spoke with an Antwon (spelling?) and he was so nice and made sure I would be able to check into a clean room when we arrived to have more time to at the indoor water park. The room was clean, no complaints there. The waterpark was so much fun even for mom and dad! The staff and lifeguards were friendly and doing what they were supposed to. At one point we had the park to ourselves and the guards were doing some training and let my 7yo hang out in the pool with them while they did that and were engaging with him, which was super helpful while also trying to watch the younger 2. The kids dad noticed he didn't have his apple watch and when I called they had it at the front desk and told me they would ship it back to us. My advice is to go and see for yourself before you judge them based on the reviews
