We are here for a joyous wedding weekend. Can’t believe there is no live tv in any guest room in the entire hotel. I tried to watch a basketball game last night and watch the news, but my efforts proved futile. The front desk was of no help. First time in over 50 years of staying in hotels have I ever experienced this. The rooms are in need of major updating. This place is not terrible, but there is not anything overtly positive to say about it either. Beware in booking this place!!!
For local users exploring the "Hotels Near Of Me" category, the Grand Resort Hotel - Mt Laurel - Philadelphia, situated at 915 NJ-73, Mt Laurel Township, NJ 08054, USA, presents itself as a potential lodging option, especially for those seeking a property with 'resort' in its name, which typically implies more extensive facilities or a leisure focus. The hotel can be reached directly at (856) 372-1170 or +1 856-372-1170 for inquiries. This objective introduction will detail the hotel's environment, services, features, and any available promotional information, drawing upon publicly accessible data and recent guest reviews.
The environment of the Grand Resort Hotel - Mt Laurel - Philadelphia is located along NJ-73, a major thoroughfare in Mt Laurel Township. This positioning suggests easy vehicular access and proximity to other commercial establishments common to highway-side locations. The term "resort" in the name implies a more comprehensive set of amenities or a leisure-oriented atmosphere. However, recent guest feedback provides a more grounded perspective. One review describes the hotel as "not terrible, but there is not anything overtly positive to say about it either," indicating a rather unremarkable environment. Another guest noted a significant issue with room temperature, implying discomfort even when outside temperatures were not extreme. The overall impression from reviews suggests that while the location on a main road offers accessibility, the internal environment of the hotel may not fully align with the typical expectations associated with a "resort," especially in terms of modern comfort and maintenance. The hotel may cater to events, such as the "joyous wedding weekend" mentioned by a guest, which would imply spaces for gatherings, but this does not necessarily translate to a resort-like ambiance throughout the property for individual guests.
In terms of services, a fundamental expectation for any hotel is reliable customer support and basic amenities. Guests have reported inconsistencies in service delivery. For instance, inquiries about non-functional live TV were met with "no help" from the front desk. A critical issue highlighted is the difficulty in getting towels, requiring multiple calls and significant delay. Similarly, guests staying for multiple nights reported having to "throw my dirty towels in the bins in the hallway and take my trash out as well because nobody has come to clean the room yet," raising questions about the standard housekeeping service for extended stays. This indicates a potential lack of proactive service or clear communication regarding cleaning schedules. While the hotel's status as a "resort" might suggest a wide array of services, the specific issues raised by guests point to deficiencies in basic, expected hotel services. Information regarding typical services like a 24-hour front desk is standard for most hotels, but the effectiveness of this service, as seen from the reviews, is questionable. The hotel may offer Wi-Fi, but its reliability or speed is not directly commented upon in the provided reviews. Given its name, there might be a pool, fitness center, or dining options on-site, but explicit details and their condition are not affirmed by the available customer feedback.
The features of the Grand Resort Hotel - Mt Laurel - Philadelphia's guest rooms and overall property are crucial for guest satisfaction. A glaring feature highlighted by guests is the absence of "live tv in any guest room in the entire hotel," a highly unusual and frustrating experience for modern travelers. This significantly impacts in-room entertainment and access to current events. The rooms are described as "in need of major updating," suggesting an outdated aesthetic and potentially functional issues. This is corroborated by a guest struggling with air conditioning, stating the "temperature in the room just rises" to uncomfortable levels even on moderately warm days, with attempts by staff to fix it proving largely ineffective. The non-functional air conditioning, coupled with delayed delivery of requested towels, points to significant maintenance and operational issues within the rooms. While the name "resort" suggests features like expansive grounds, multiple dining venues, or recreational activities, the provided reviews focus on negative aspects related to fundamental room features and maintenance. Without further information, it's difficult to confirm specific features such as on-site restaurants, a fitness center, or a pool, and more importantly, their current operational status or condition. The reviews indicate that basic in-room amenities like comfortable climate control and working televisions are not reliably provided. The experience of "not anything overtly positive to say about it" suggests a lack of distinguishing positive features beyond the bare minimum for accommodation.
Regarding promotional information, specific deals for the Grand Resort Hotel - Mt Laurel - Philadelphia are not detailed in the provided information. As an independent or smaller brand hotel, it may not be affiliated with a large loyalty program like major chains (e.g., Hilton Honors, Marriott Bonvoy). However, hotels often offer promotions such as:
Potential guests are strongly advised to contact the hotel directly via phone at (856) 372-1170 or +1 856-372-1170 to inquire about current promotions and to verify the operational status of all desired amenities and services. Based on the customer reviews, a significant cautionary note is warranted. The pervasive issues with basic in-room features (no live TV, heating/cooling problems), inconsistent service (delayed towels, lack of housekeeping), and general perception of the hotel being "in need of major updating" suggest that the "resort" designation may be more aspirational than reflective of its current state. The explicit warnings from guests to "Beware in booking this place!!!" and the overall negative tone regarding cleanliness and functionality indicate that while it is listed under "Hotels Near Of Me," potential visitors should manage their expectations very carefully and consider the potential for significant discomfort and inconvenience, particularly if they are expecting standard hotel amenities and services.

Mar 28, 2025 · Mitch DiamantSo incredibly hot. Temperature in the room just rises. It’s only 80s outside right now but room is up to 77. Someone came to fix and went to check on the roof. Other rooms have same issues. Asked for towels and nobody brought. Getting very restless as heat makes me incredibly uncomfortable. No way to cool off room. *Thank you for your response. As far as towels go I had to call downstairs after I went upstairs for a bit, went to dinner, and came back. Once I called a second time they arrived. Room is still only 71 degrees with a rainy cloudy day as well. The guy came back at 8 pm to check. It went down one degree. Surprise the sun also went down. I told him it didn’t seem any different. He smiled. Said ok. And left. It’s Sunday. Have been there since Friday. Today I had to throw my dirty towels in the bins in the hallway and take my trash out as well because nobody has come to clean the room yet. Does that need to be requested for extended stays?
May 04, 2025 · Robert DeKleineStayed here for 2 nights to attend a friend’s wedding. Booked a room with two queen beds cos I was room sharing. I expected the queen beds to be small which was what I was used to coming from my home country but the beds were big which was really impressive. In terms of service, we were expected to alert them 24 hours before a room clean up, which was surprising. I assumed that daily room cleanups should be part of the hotel’s daily routine.
Apr 06, 2025 · Tee KayThis place is a section 8 welfare motel. Lobby was nice and front desk was accommodating. Upon exiting the elevator I took notice to a horrible odor on the floor. Once I got to my room my key did not work not once but 3 times. On my 4th trip down I was issued a key and maintenance met me at the room however the key worked as I entered the room and turned the light on the smell was more profound . I didn’t even set my bag down in fear of bed bugs or worse. I immediately returned to the front desk and advised them I would not be staying they asked why and I told them exactly this. The managers were gracious and apologized and agreed to refund my attempted stay but had to be completed thru Priceline in which I am currently attempting. I usually do not provide reviews however this was the most deplorable establishment I have ever entered. This place is not fit for a 3rd world country let alone right outside the city of Philadelphia.
May 16, 2025 · Steven MayThe worst stay at a hotel I have ever had. Save yourself money and do not book here. Rooms are dingy and disgusting. The couch in our room was cracked and dirty. Beds are so uncomfortable me and my husband have sore backs and necks now. The bathroom is the size of half a closet, dirty tub and there’s no ventilation fan! You can hear other people talking in the next room over. Doors slamming all night. Front desk do not care. Breakfast they serve in the back room is not even warm. Omg the worst honeymoon for me and my new husband. What a waste of money!!!!!!
