We recently stayed at the Hampton Inn – JFK during a layover in New York before heading home from our Europe trip. Overall, it was a solid choice for a short stay near the airport. The hotel is a bit outdated, but the rooms were clean and well-maintained, which is always a top priority for us. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making check-in and our brief stay pleasant. One of the highlights was the complimentary breakfast—a great selection of hot and cold items, perfect for fueling up before our flight. Another major convenience was the free airport shuttle service, which made getting to and from JFK hassle-free. This was a huge plus, especially after a long international flight. For anyone needing a convenient overnight stay near JFK, this Hampton Inn does the job well with clean accommodations, good service, a satisfying breakfast, and easy airport access. Would stay here again for a quick and hassle-free layover!

This specific Hampton Inn was chosen specifically because of its proximity to JFK International Airport. My female friend and I had an early morning departure, check-in was at 4 AM. Metro-rail access to Manhattan via the Long Island Railroad (LIRR) at Jamaica Station in Queens is convenient, however it's not within walking distance from the hotel. The hotel staff was generally friendly, however one service was lacking, 'assistance with luggage' if you traveled with two or more pieces. A free shuttle bus service to JFK is both convenient and cost effective.

This Hampton inn seemed dark and empty during our midnight layover. Location for JFK access is very good - breakfast was good. Room furnishings are a bit tired. BEWARE: Parking is valet-only and costs $40 no matter how long you’re there!!

An unexpected layover had need of a hotel. The Hampton Inn by Hilton at JFK was the perfect place to end a stressful day. From the person I booked the room with, to Jorge at the front desk, to the bartender the evening of 3/16 (Kim?), their kindness, friendliness, and efficiency was appreciated. The meals from the bar menu, and the breakfast the next morning were delicious. Our room and bathroom were spotless.
