Residence Inn New York JFK Airport

If you need to stay overnight because of flight times and wonky connections this is a very pleasant place to pass the time. The front desk people are amazing. So helpful and kind. They really set the stage for a great night. The hotel is old and some of the interior is dated and dingy but our room was clean and extremely comfortable, clean, and quiet. There were a couple of small bottles of water, a nice touch. A friend from the city even met us and brought some dinner so we could have a taste of NYC before our flight. The dishwasher made it easy to clean up. How pleasant to have plates that were not paper. There is a bus stop right around the corner so it was relatively easy for him to get back to Manhattan. The shuttle makes it convenient to get back and forth from JFK. We did not take advantage of the breakfast as we slept in (yay!) since sleep can be harder to find than food when you are on vacation. The room coffee was not great but is adequate if you just need a cup of coffee.

The customer service was awesome! From The ladies at the front desk, to Sean that oversees the continental breakfast and Janet who did housekeeping. Sean was attentive, professional and helpful in helping navigate the breakfast. Didn’t know you couldn’t take the plates up to the room 😆 but he helped me with a to go box which I really appreciated. Janet was kind every morning when I saw her. You can tell this place takes customer service seriously and I appreciate being a member. The texting system to get your car from valet is easy too. Wish the room layout was a little different don’t like where the bathroom is in relation to the bed and shower is odd direction but other than that good stay!

I had a great experience, parking is for sure an issue because of space, you have to pay $55 each day for parking. If you really don’t need a car, I would advise you jump on the airport shuttle. It is the best bet, saves you time and money. Calling the reception from your room phone is a pain because they are always on the phone and they don’t pick up. It’s best you call from your personal phone. Overall the staffs are great and I enjoyed my stay.

I recently stayed at the Residence Inn New York JFK Airport, and I must say, this experience has completely revived my confidence in Marriott. I have always appreciated Marriott’s excellence, but two prior trips had significantly diminished my view of the brand. However, the Residence Inn New York JFK Airport restored that confidence. From check-in to check-out, everything exceeded my expectations. The room was immaculate, the beds were perfectly made, and the signature Marriott fragrance was a delightful touch. The hotel was quiet and peaceful, allowing me to enjoy a good night’s sleep. Even though I arrived late to breakfast, there was still plenty of hot food and drink available, not just the remnants typically left at the end of a buffet. The restaurant staff were attentive, pleasant and responsive to patrons' needs. As soon as I placed my napkin on my plate, someone was there to retrieve the plate. At one point, I mistakenly went to the wrong floor, and the room attendants I encountered were both pleasant and accommodating. The highlight of my stay came at check-out. As I stepped off the elevator, the Front Desk clerk greeted me warmly, as if he had been eagerly awaiting my arrival. He was pleasant, upbeat, jovial, and funny, which truly sealed the deal for me. This time around, I felt as if I was home and my family were glad to see me and have me around, not complaining and telling all the things they don't have and could not do. Thank you, Residence Inn New York JFK Airport, for reviving my waning loyalty. It was a pleasure staying at this hotel.

He went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, and his friendly demeanor made a lasting impression. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a lovely card from the front desk staff to commemorate our anniversary, along with some delicious snacks. The highlight was definitely the beautiful towel swan adorned with roses, which added a romantic touch to our room. The convenience of the airport shuttle service was a significant plus, making our travels to and from the airport seamless. Although we didn't get a chance to try the breakfast, the overall hospitality we experienced makes me confident it would have been delightful. In summary, the Residence Inn JFK is a fantastic choice for anyone traveling to the area. The combination of friendly staff, thoughtful gestures, and convenient amenities creates a welcoming atmosphere that makes every guest feel special.
