Close to shore, had a nice view. Amenities were nice and up to date, especially the laundry room. Personally found bed and furniture on the stiff side of comfort. Other things can be said, but, for the price is all within reason.

Environment and Ambiance:
Hampton Inn Philadelphia/Plymouth Meeting is strategically situated in Plymouth Meeting, a key suburban hub with excellent access to major roadways such as the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-276), I-476, and US-422. This location makes it highly convenient for guests traveling to and from Philadelphia, King of Prussia, Conshohocken, and other surrounding areas. Its proximity to corporate offices, shopping centers (including Plymouth Meeting Mall), and local attractions provides a practical environment for various types of stays. The general ambiance of a Hampton Inn is designed to be friendly, welcoming, and consistently comfortable, offering a reliable experience across the brand. The hotel aims for an atmosphere that is clean and functional, prioritizing guest convenience. However, specific guest reviews suggest that while the location is "wonderful," some aspects of the hotel's physical environment, such as the lobby being "conditioned with space heaters," and the presence of "roaches," indicate areas where the actual ambiance and cleanliness might deviate from typical Hampton Inn standards, creating a less than ideal impression for some guests.
Services and Amenities:
Hampton Inn Philadelphia/Plymouth Meeting typically offers a range of complimentary services and amenities that are hallmarks of the Hampton by Hilton brand. A primary feature is the complimentary hot breakfast, which is designed to provide a convenient and satisfying start to the day. This usually includes a variety of options such as eggs, sausage, waffles, fresh fruit, and pastries. However, one detailed review does not specifically comment on the breakfast quality, but focuses on other issues. Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is another essential amenity provided throughout the hotel, allowing guests to stay connected for work or leisure.
For recreation and wellness, the hotel typically features an indoor swimming pool and a fitness center, enabling guests to maintain their routines. The laundry room is noted as being "nice and up to date," which is a valuable amenity for guests on longer stays. Hampton Inn properties often offer a 24-hour "Treats" shop for snacks and drinks, and a business center for guests needing to work or print. The hotel also provides free parking, which is a significant convenience for guests with vehicles.
Customer service is a crucial aspect of any hotel stay. While one review highlights highly negative interactions with certain front desk staff members, describing them as "cold and unwelcoming" and displaying "sarcasm" and an "angry" demeanor, another staff member named Kendra is consistently praised as a "gem" who "made every effort to help" and accommodated the guest's issues with a new room and snack bags. This indicates a significant inconsistency in staff performance. The willingness of the administration department, represented by Valerie, to address concerns and offer compensation post-stay is also a positive note in service recovery. Despite the issues encountered, the hotel's ability to eventually resolve problems, especially through the efforts of dedicated staff members, is important.
Features: Reliable Room Layouts and Basic Comforts:
The guest rooms at Hampton Inn Philadelphia/Plymouth Meeting are designed for comfort and functionality, typically featuring a clean layout. While amenities are noted as "nice and up to date," some guests have found the "bed and furniture on the stiff side of comfort." Rooms usually include a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, providing basic conveniences. Guest reviews specifically highlight issues with room amenities such as non-functional air conditioning units (blowing "hot air" and not changing temperature) and broken refrigerators, leading to spoiled food. The most alarming issue reported was the presence of a "roach" in the bathroom of one of the rooms, indicating significant cleanliness and pest control concerns. These issues directly contradict the expectation of a clean and comfortable stay typical of a Hilton brand.
The location of the hotel, while "wonderful" for its proximity to key areas, is complemented by the practical amenities it aims to provide, such as the updated laundry room and other facilities. The hotel's position makes it a viable choice for travelers needing access to the various business and leisure points in the Plymouth Meeting and wider Philadelphia suburban region. However, the recurring maintenance and cleanliness issues, as detailed in guest feedback, significantly impact the overall quality and reliability of these features.
Promotional Information and Guest Feedback:
As a Hampton by Hilton property, Hampton Inn Philadelphia/Plymouth Meeting participates in the Hilton Honors loyalty program. Members can earn and redeem points for stays, and receive benefits such as discounted rates, digital check-in, and potentially complimentary drinks and snacks upon check-in for eligible tiers. The hotel, along with Hilton, regularly offers various promotions, including seasonal deals, advance purchase rates, and packages. These offers are typically available on the official Hilton website, and signing up for their email list can provide direct notifications of new deals. One guest's experience highlighted the failure of front desk staff to offer the "complimentary drink and snack" despite their Silver status, which is a key Hilton Honors benefit.
Customer reviews for Hampton Inn Philadelphia/Plymouth Meeting present a highly mixed and, in some cases, severely negative picture. While the location is consistently praised as "wonderful" and amenities like the laundry room are appreciated, significant issues have been reported. These include: extremely poor and "cold" front desk service, particularly from one specific staff member; malfunctioning room amenities such as air conditioning and refrigerators; and critically, the presence of "roaches" in a room. Other concerns like the lobby being heated by "space heaters" and general "dirty state" suggest broader maintenance and management problems. While one staff member (Kendra) received high praise for her exceptional efforts to resolve issues and offer genuine assistance, and a follow-up from the administration department (Valerie) offered compensation, these instances of good service appear to be reactive rather than indicative of consistent, proactive quality. The strong negative feedback regarding cleanliness, functionality of room features, and initial staff demeanor are crucial considerations for anyone searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in Plymouth Meeting, suggesting that while the location is advantageous, the guest experience can be highly inconsistent and potentially very disappointing.

Mar 20, 2025 · Justin PattersonLet me first share this by saying that I am a hilton honors member currently with a silver status. I checked in on Tuesday with my wife to a front desk person who was very cold and unwelcoming as if our check in was an inconvenience and she was angry she had to put down her phone. She never offered us our complimentary drink and snack on check in, gave us the key and off to the room we went. Initially, we opened the door and were met with a hot Arizona climate room... someone left the room with the thermostat at 85 degrees. It was a warmer day outside so the felt temperature was insane. I tried to turn on the cold air and the room never changed temp. I went down stairs to tell the desk woman who was very happy to see me again... I say this with sarcasm. She had someone she was dealing with so I let her do that and I just waited patiently. As I waited, I watched her offer this young female the complimentary snack and drink that I was not offered as a silver member. Finally she finished with this customer and she asked me what I needed, I stated the room temp was extremely hot, and the air con was not working. She told me, "oh, thats normal, they take a long time to work, shut it off for 30 min then set it to the temp you want". I did exactly this, then after setting the temp, my wife and I went out to dinner. When we came back, the room was still insanely hot and the unit was just blowing around hot air. I went down again and she was not happy but told me that she would move us to a new room. I took the key to the new room, where I made sure the ac worked. The room seemed ok, my wife and I moved our things there and she put her meal for work the next day in the fridge. In the morning when she was getting ready for work, we opened the fridge to find that the food had spoiled and the fridge was busted. I looked to see if it was plugged in and it was. I later told the desk worker who was a young gentleman about this. He said he would send a maintenance man up immediately. This probably never happened, no one checked on us later either. Later in the evening my wife took a shower in the room and a roach came out of the baseboard trim in the bathroom. I was livid. At this point, I went downstairs to the desk worker who was a young woman and voiced all my frustrations. This woman did nothing to deserve to hear this but I had had enough. She accommodated us, moved us to a new room on the 5th floor, and when we got to the room our snack bags were waiting for us there which was very kind of her. She layer called up to the room to check in on us if we were ok and the room was ok. Her name is Kendra, and I made sure to tell her that she was the only person here that made any effort to help us. She really is a gem but the rest of the staff should be considered. Hilton is a great company, how they allow this place to exist in its sorry dirty state is almost unbelievable. The roaches, the fact the lobby is conditioned with space heaters, and the mood of certain staff members to paying guests are unacceptable. I want to contact a hilton administration person immediately and I will post all my findings for others so they do not meet my same fate here. Edit: Valerie from their administration dept called me shortly after posting this review and she worked with me to hear my concerns and also offered me a night off my total cost which was very kind of her. I wish this hotel the best, it has a wonderful location but there are some changes that need to made.
Feb 27, 2025 · Cj StempleI booked this hotel through hotels.com. I had the wrong date and needed to move it a day earlier. Hotels.com worked with the hotel to do it for an additional fee. I went to check in an the hotel hadn't changed the date in their system. They charged me to stay the new night and wouldn't refund the pre-paid room that they did not change [I have an updated itenerary from hotels.com]. Hotels.com talked to them and the management refuses. Hotels.com won't refund me either. I would never stay here or at any Hampton inn or use hotels.com again when I travel as they are ripping me off.
Apr 23, 2025 · John AgogliaThis Hampton Inn was absolutely fabulous!! Spotless clean, great room and the Manager and all of the staff were beyond friendly and SUPERB! The Manager accommodated our request for an early check in and we were most grateful. We will be back again!! Thank you!!
Apr 26, 2025 · Mary SiniscarcoThis is a typical Hampton Inn with usual amenities. Two things I did not like: my room was right on top of the freeway. Even with wall air conditioner on, I still felt like trucks were about to come through the wall. Second, rooms do not have a closet. There are a couple of hooks behind the curtains and iron is difficult to reach. Overall, a clean hotel with good breakfast. I would never accept a room on the freeway side of the hotel again!
