I had a recent stay at this property and the front desk gentleman, Mike was excellent, kind, and helpful. . We truly enjoyed our stay. The night auditor, Venice, Was super friendly and kind and answered all of my questions when I called. I am going to call back to find my housekeeper’s name because she was phenomenal as well. I think it started with a V. Excellent service, and the free breakfast is a plus !

My most recent stay was very subpar. There was a group of hockey kids playing hockey and banging on the walls in the one conference room which was right next to our room, room 106. I had to come out twice to the desk lady and she agreed they need to quiet down but told the person supervising to essentially handle it. You’re running the front desk, YOU NEED TO do something as a hotel employee, you have the right to. I wasn’t the only guest complaining either which tells you something. Eventually the person I was staying with went out and yelled at them herself. I was running a marathon that was a $200 registration which required me to get good sleep and I probably lost about an hour of sleep because of it. The conference room looked absolutely destroyed and I can’t believe a hotel would allow that. On top of that, the toilet was extremely loud for 10+ minutes after you flushed and had 0 flushing power. The shower needed a drain cover as well as it was disgusting to look into the drain, plus a few hairs in the shower were spotted before. Overall the employee who was running the desk 9:00-10:00pm seemed like she didn’t care to handle the situation which unnecessarily escalated. I come to Pittsburgh a lot and will not be returning to this hotel nor recommending anyone to stay here. EDIT/UPDATE: The response was unacceptable as I lost over an hour of sleep for an event that was critical that I got sleep. The Pittsburgh Marathon is the largest event in Pittsburgh that weekend and the hotel should have been aware that guest may have an early start/checkout. It’s was a big deal for me. The staff seem med like they were fine with Hockey Kids trashing a conference room and banging on walls until someone decided to make noise complaint. Inexcusable from the hotel’s part and sorry just doesn’t cut it especially since I was preparing months for an event like that.

Me and a large group were going on this trip and booked our rooms here multiple months in advance. However when we got there, only about 25% of the rooms were ready and the rest of the rooms would not be ready until around 10:00pm at least 5 hours after we arrived. While the group was waiting in the lobby, a manager freaked, slammed the door and shattered it. Crazy stuff. Breakfast was pretty good though if you don't mind wet muffins (😂😂) The guy at the desk had AMAZING hair and did his best to help us despite being new so that's something.

The staff at the Hampton Inn Greentree was as friendly and welcoming as they come! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location is convenient and safe. 5 night recent stay and enjoyed every minute of it while the staff made us feel right at home. Thank you to the entire staff for making our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible!

Great experience. Clean room, accessible friendly and a very nice hot breakfast Buffett. Hard to beat this around the $100 price point. Maddy at the front desk was very sweet and especially helpful. Highly recommend! +++
