The young woman at the Front Desk was extremely nice and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. The only issue I had was the lack of enough handicap parking. The hotels location on a hill made it difficult to have enough adequate parking for people who have difficulty walking

One review specifically mentioned "considerable damage to the walls" and "two large spider webs," suggesting that while rooms generally aim for comfort and cleanliness, maintenance issues or oversight can occur. Another concern raised was a "lack of security" due to a "random man suspiciously scouring the halls at night," indicating a need for greater vigilance or perceived security presence.
Promotional information for the Hampton Inn White Plains/Tarrytown, as seen on "Hotels Near Of Me" platforms, often focuses on its value proposition and convenience. Common promotional highlights include:
However, an objective introduction must also address the direct feedback from customers, which provides a more nuanced view. While the "young woman at the Front Desk was extremely nice and welcoming," showcasing excellent individual staff performance, concerns such as the "lack of enough handicap parking" due to the hotel's location on a hill are practical issues for guests with mobility challenges. The most critical feedback, regarding "considerable damage to the walls," "spider webs," and "stains on the walls," directly contradicts expectations of cleanliness and maintenance. The mention of a "lack of security" with a "random man suspiciously scouring the halls at night" is a serious concern that could impact guest comfort and safety perception. While the breakfast is generally praised as "pretty good," these other issues suggest that the hotel may not consistently deliver on its brand promise for all guests. Therefore, users searching on "Hotels Near Of Me" for the Hampton Inn White Plains/Tarrytown should consider these mixed reviews. It is advisable for prospective guests to contact the hotel directly (using phone numbers (914) 592-5680 or +1 914-592-5680) to inquire about the current condition of rooms, available accessibility options, and any specific concerns regarding safety or maintenance, especially if these issues are critical to their decision-making process.

Apr 28, 2025 · Kevin LawlessThe room had considerable damage to the walls. There were two large spider webs in separate corners of the room. A lack of security was noticeable as there was a random man suspiciously scouring the halls at night. There's places to eat food nearby, and their breakfast was pretty good. Had the room been cleaner and not had stains on the walls I could've given the hotel a solid 3/4
Mar 30, 2025 · Jason WilliamsThe front desk staff was amazing. Everything that went wrong was outside of her control. Hotel is run down. That's the only way to say it. Crumbling concrete, tired rooms and furniture. I stayed here to be in the same hotel as family while travelling. First room smelled like smoke in a non smoking hotel. Easily exchanged rooms by very terrific and embarrassed front desk staff. Second room did not smell like smoke but has pistachio shells under desk. I just stuck with the room. The breakfast, a Hampton perk, was awful. Food was burnt or not cooked. I would not stay here again.
May 07, 2025 · Matthew WhiteOur stay was the worst stay that I've ever had at this hotel. We ended up changing rooms only to experience another let down. The house keeping is not any keeping. We settled at the second room as it had the presence of clean even though it gave off the energy of just plain old run down. I'd think twice at staying here again.
Mar 04, 2025 · Atlanta Veggie Spot LLCThe rooms are very overpriced, and for the price we pay, the least we should get fresh, new crisp white sheets and towels with washcloths. Everything is dingy. Please throw the towels & face clothes away once they start looking off white. No amount of bleach will make it better.
