For those searching within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category for a dynamic and comprehensive resort experience, Harrah's Resort Atlantic City, located at 777 Harrah's Blvd, Atlantic City, NJ 08401, USA, stands as a prominent and established choice. With contact numbers (609) 441-5000 and +1 609-441-5000, this sprawling property in the city's Marina District offers far more than just accommodation; it's a complete entertainment destination, catering to a wide array of preferences from gaming and nightlife to relaxation and events. As one satisfied guest noted after a last-minute anniversary getaway, it was a "really fun time" with a "clean" room and "lots of food choices," making it a great option even for those "not big AC people."
Harrah's Resort Atlantic City is strategically positioned in the Marina District, distinguishing itself from the bustling Boardwalk and ocean beach. This prime location provides a unique waterfront ambiance, offering guests picturesque bay and Brigantine Island views, especially from the higher floors of its various towers. Since its grand opening in 1980 as the pioneering casino in this district, Harrah's has undergone continuous evolution, marked by numerous tower expansions and significant renovations. Its impressive collection of towers includes the Coastal Tower, Atrium Tower, Marina Tower, Bayview Tower, and the architectural marvel that is the 525-foot Waterfront Tower, which became a defining part of the Atlantic City skyline upon its completion in 2008. The Waterfront Tower, in particular, is noted for its striking exterior that displays captivating digital images at night, further enhancing the resort's modern and dynamic appeal. As one reviewer highlighted, while "off the boardwalk," it's only "a minute drive away" if you intend on visiting the beach or other Boardwalk attractions, emphasizing its distinct yet convenient setting within Atlantic City.
The interior of the resort mirrors its vibrant and multifaceted offerings. While some older sections may reflect their age, extensive renovations have significantly modernized many areas, including guest rooms in the Bayview and Coastal towers, ensuring a refreshed experience for visitors. The Bayview rooms were renovated in 2016-2017 to resemble rooms in Harrah's Las Vegas, and the Coastal Tower rooms were fully renovated by summer 2019. The overall atmosphere is consistently lively and engaging, meticulously designed to provide a comprehensive and seamless experience for guests, from the expansive casino floor to the renowned Pool at Harrah's. The environment aims to be a complete escape, offering a variety of ambiances from the energetic casino to the serene spa.
The resort also handles large-scale logistics efficiently, as evidenced by its receiving docks. While the original prompt referred to "Harrah's WCC Dock," it's understood this pertains to the docks servicing Harrah's Resort Atlantic City. A real customer's review clarifies that the initial four docks are designated for the Waterfront Conference Center (WCC), while the docks further along the property serve the main hotel. This distinction is crucial for event organizers and delivery personnel, underscoring the well-organized infrastructure that supports the resort's large-scale conventions and events. The reviewer's comment about the docks being "angled for a semi blindside back" indicates a specialized design to facilitate efficient truck maneuvering, and the provision of a "small area on the other side of the center for bobtails or box trucks if needed" further illustrates the thoughtful planning behind their service areas.
Harrah's Resort Atlantic City is meticulously designed to provide a full-service experience, boasting an impressive array of amenities and services tailored to meet diverse guest needs. The resort features over 2,500 guest rooms and suites spread across its various towers, offering accommodation options that range from comfortable standard rooms to luxurious suites. Recent renovations have focused on updating many of these accommodations, equipping them with contemporary comforts such as LED TVs, coffee makers, mini-fridges, and dedicated workspaces. Suites often elevate the experience with premium entertainment systems and separate living areas, providing ample space for relaxation and enjoyment. As a customer noted, the rooms "have been updated and comfortable," contributing to a positive stay. While a few older rooms might reflect a more dated aesthetic, the newer and recently renovated towers provide a decidedly modern and comfortable stay.
At the heart of Harrah's immense appeal is its expansive casino, which sprawls across 177,000 square feet of gaming space. This vast area is home to thousands of slot and video poker machines (over 5,500), 139 table games covering classics like Blackjack, Roulette, and Craps, and a dedicated 40-table poker room that frequently hosts prestigious annual World Series of Poker events. For sports enthusiasts, a state-of-the-art sportsbook is available for placing wagers on various sporting events. To cater to all preferences, a dedicated non-smoking section with a selection of slots and tables is provided within the casino, ensuring a comfortable environment for every guest.
One of the most iconic and frequently praised features of Harrah's is The Pool at Harrah's. Enclosed beneath a magnificent glass dome, this unique aquatic environment maintains a constant tropical temperature of 82 degrees Fahrenheit and is adorned with lush palm trees and vibrant tropical plants. During the day, it functions as a serene and relaxing oasis, complete with hot tubs, luxurious private cabanas available for rental, and convenient bar service. As night falls, The Pool undergoes a dramatic transformation into "The Pool After Dark," an exclusive, adults-only (21+) nightclub that pulsates with energy, featuring live DJs, celebrity appearances, and premium bottle service. For families, there is also a separate, smaller, family-friendly pool with an arcade game room, which operates seasonally. However, some guest reviews indicate that this family pool may be less impressive or well-maintained compared to the main Pool area, suggesting that the primary appeal of The Pool lies in its adult-oriented daytime relaxation and vibrant nighttime scene.
Dining at Harrah's Resort Atlantic City is a comprehensive culinary journey, with a wide selection of diverse establishments ranging from casual cafes to sophisticated upscale restaurants. Guests can savor exquisite meals at renowned establishments such as Gordon Ramsay Steak and McCormick & Schmick's, which offer fine dining experiences. Other popular options include Gordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen, Coastal Craft Kitchen + Bar, AC Burger Co., and La Strada at The Shore for authentic Italian cuisine. Buddy's Boardwalk Empire offers Jersey-style sandwiches and pizza, while Starbucks provides familiar coffee and snacks. As a reviewer stated, "There are plenty of places to eat downstairs ranging from casual to higher end," and another mentioned "lots of food choices for the weekend." From quick bites and sushi to full-service breakfast, lunch, and dinner with fusion cuisine, there is something to satisfy every craving. Additionally, multiple bars and lounges, including a lively poolside bar, ensure a wide selection of refreshing beverages and cocktails throughout the resort; for instance, the Eden Lounge was highlighted as a "great, fun time."
For those seeking relaxation and rejuvenation, The Spa at Harrah's Resort offers a tranquil sanctuary. Guests can indulge in an extensive menu of services, including various types of massages, revitalizing facials, and invigorating body scrubs. The spa facilities also include a steam room, sauna, and a fireside jacuzzi pool, providing ample opportunities for unwinding. A complimentary 24-hour fitness center, equipped with a variety of strength training and cardio machines, is available for hotel guests, allowing them to maintain their fitness routines even while away. Guests must be 18+ to utilize spa amenities, and 21+ to access The Pool. Massages, body treatments, and facials for guests 16+ must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian. A Spa Pass, which includes access to the steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, fitness center, and indoor pool oasis, costs $75 per person. Salon services like hair design, makeup artistry, and mani-pedis are also available.
Further enhancing the guest experience, Harrah's provides a range of additional services and amenities:
Harrah's Resort Atlantic City truly distinguishes itself as a dynamic entertainment hub, consistently hosting a diverse calendar of events and captivating shows. The Concert Venue at Harrah's, with 1,200 tiered theater seats, regularly welcomes a wide range of acclaimed performers, from celebrated comedians like Randy Rainbow and Eddie Griffin to popular tribute bands such as The Fab Four (a Beatles tribute) and Zoso (a Led Zeppelin tribute), as well as a variety of contemporary music acts like the POP 2000 Tour. The Pool After Dark, as previously highlighted, is a premier nightclub destination, consistently attracting top-tier DJs and offering an unparalleled nightlife experience that often features celebrity hosts like DJ Diesel (Shaquille O'Neal) and Paris Hilton.
The Waterfront Conference Center (WCC) stands as a significant and integral feature of Harrah's, solidifying its position as a leading venue for conventions, business meetings, and large-scale events in the region. This expansive and modern facility boasts state-of-the-art business amenities and generous meeting spaces, including two 50,000-square-foot ballrooms that can be configured in 30 different ways, seamlessly complementing the resort’s extensive hospitality services. The WCC is the largest hotel-conference center complex from Baltimore to Boston and is within driving distance of one-third of the U.S. population, making it a powerful draw for corporate events and large gatherings.
While overall customer reviews are largely positive, often praising the resort's vibrant atmosphere, diverse dining options, and the unique appeal of The Pool After Dark, some feedback points to areas for potential improvement, such as occasional inconsistencies in housekeeping, the dated decor in some of the older towers, and sometimes crowded facilities. For instance, some reviews mention issues like strong cigarette smoke odors, even in non-smoking areas for some guests, and concerns about value for money regarding food pricing. There are also comments about resort fees ($31.80 per night plus tax) and an occupancy surcharge ($7.54 per night plus tax) which add to the total cost. The family-friendly pool has also received less favorable reviews compared to the main pool. Despite these specific concerns, the overwhelmingly positive sentiments regarding the exciting entertainment and comprehensive offerings generally outweigh these minor issues for many guests, firmly establishing Harrah's reputation as a lively, fun, and convenient destination for visitors to Atlantic City. As one guest succinctly put it, "Relaxing Loved It."

May 20, 2025 · Dakota RoseFirst of all after years of not coming to AC, decided to book a last minute trip for a quick get away. Researched and saw Harrah’s and with pretty decent reviews decided to book. Arrival and check was fine, once we got to the room we noticed the room wasn’t properly cleaned and things from the past guest were never picked up. We ignored it and tried not to make a fuss about it, and went out shopping. When we came back our doors couldn’t open, as our door cards seem invalid. Decided to go down stairs to the lobby having the door cards switched out they still didn’t work. Was told a lock smith would have to come and open the doors as we stood in the hall way waiting with our belongings locked in the room. After about 20 mins of waiting with no locksmith in sight we decided to call down to the lobby and inquire. The locksmith finally showed up after i asked to speak to a manager. The only redeeming service offered we enjoyed was the pool, the food was typical and over priced. The worst part now is upon exiting the hotel via self park the door swipes that we used to go in and out of the garage and hotel now refused to work and we had to pay 20 dollars to exit. I would NEVER stay here again sub par hotel and services. Needs to update!!
Apr 26, 2025 · Janelle Bruzual-RockettI’ve stayed at Harrahs numerous times. I like this hotel. It’s in the marina area,so away from the boardwalk. Was able to check in online. Room was clean and spacious. I’ve seen bigger crowds here. Not as busy this weekend. I usually valet, but self parked this time. A little aggravating driving through lot due to signage and arrows. Also, being outside to walk terrible to all little gnats around. Did wake up to catch a nice sunrise. I prefer the Water Tower over the other areas.
May 12, 2025 · Thomas ClevelandBeautiful room and we had so much fun at the pool for the night party and then on Sunday morning at the pool! It felt like summer was already here. We ate at a couple of spots in the resort as well and the food was fresh. Our room also had a nice beach view.
