Hopefully this was an isolated experience. When I checked in, our room was a mobility access room which was great for our needs. However, upon entering the room, the strobe light alarm and sirens were already going off. The phone receiver in the room was broken except for on speaker, so I ended up calling repeatedly from my cell phone which kept getting rerouted to a call center or just hung up on after being on hold. It took 5 calls to the front desk, more than an hour response time, and it was never resolved. I was told by security and the front desk 3 times that an electrician was on their way "now," but never came. I tried sleeping against the wall in the hallway since it was unbearable inside the room. About 1.5 hours later, I finally walked to the front desk (which is far when you're lugging all your luggage after a long travel day and listening to a siren), and was told, "sorry about that, I'll just switch your room." The confusing part was, was that I was told earlier upon check in that there were no other rooms since it was a late night on the weekend. There really wasn't any sense of urgency at all to resolve anything via phone. They appeared understaffed and overworked.
