When I called the hotel I was immediately, transferred to the front desk. Unfortunately I could hardly understand what the manager was saying. So that was the first obstacle I had. The rooms were definitely, to pricey for this area (11435). The sheets on the bed were dingy. Overall I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Kennedy International Airport (JFK), which is often a primary consideration for travelers staying in this part of Queens.
Regarding its internal environment, the Hillside Hotel Queens focuses on providing essential lodging facilities. Publicly available information suggests it offers a certain number of rooms designed to cater to various guest needs. While specific details about room decor or recent renovations are not consistently highlighted in positive light, the hotel typically aims to provide basic amenities such as air conditioning, private bathrooms, and a television. The rooms are generally equipped for a short-term stay, and the emphasis is primarily on functionality rather than luxury. Common facilities like a 24-hour front desk are standard for properties of this type, ensuring assistance is available at any time. It's worth noting that the general condition and upkeep of the internal spaces are subject to significant variation according to guest feedback, which will be elaborated upon later.

A 24-hour front desk is available for check-ins, check-outs, and general inquiries, providing around-the-clock support. From a features perspective, the primary draw of Hillside Hotel Queens for many users searching in the "Hotels Near Of Me" category would be its location. Its address on Queens Boulevard places it on a major thoroughfare, offering accessibility to public transit options like the subway (e.g., F train at 169th Street or Jamaica-179th Street) and local bus lines, which can connect guests to various parts of Queens and Manhattan. This makes it a feasible base for exploring the city for budget-conscious travelers. The hotel's position in Jamaica also means it is relatively close to cultural institutions, parks, and local dining establishments within the immediate vicinity. However, it is imperative to move to the critical aspect of customer experiences, as the provided reviews offer a stark contrast to typical hotel promotional descriptions.
It is crucial to provide an objective introduction, and in the case of Hillside Hotel Queens, the customer reviews are highly critical and paint a very concerning picture. One reviewer stated, "I could hardly understand what the manager was saying," highlighting a communication barrier. More alarmingly, the rooms were described as "definitely too pricey for this area (11435)" and the "sheets on the bed were dingy." Another review from a guest who stayed in two different rooms provided a detailed account of severe issues: "Both rooms were dirty, dingy, cigarette burns in the bedding, sticky carpet/floor, etc." The lack of hot water resulting in "cold showers" is a significant comfort issue. Most disturbingly, the first room had "BLOOD stains on the ceiling," which was reported to the front desk, with staff even taking pictures, yet the guest was moved to a second room that was "just as dingy as the first." The hotel reportedly refused a refund despite proof, leading the guest to label the customer service as "trash" and the hotel as the "worst hotel I've ever stayed in," citing rooms as a "biohazard." These accounts strongly suggest significant issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service. The implied safety concerns expressed by the guest who feared causing a fuss while staying due to the blood stain are also deeply troubling.
Given the nature of these highly negative and specific customer reviews, any discussion of "promotional information" for Hillside Hotel Queens must be approached with extreme caution and transparency. While hotels generally aim to attract guests through competitive pricing, discounts for extended stays, or loyalty programs, the prevailing customer feedback suggests that fundamental aspects of hotel service and safety are severely lacking. There is no readily available information online that would suggest significant promotional activities or widespread positive brand messaging that could counteract the very serious concerns raised by former guests. Typically, hotels might offer "best rate guarantees," "free cancellation" options, or "rewards program" benefits if they are part of a larger chain. However, without such affiliations clearly stated or consistently marketed, and with the overwhelming negative feedback, any implicit promotional value is severely undermined. Therefore, for users on a "Hotels Near Of Me" platform, the primary "promotional information" should be tempered by a clear understanding of the risks highlighted in the customer reviews.
In conclusion, while Hillside Hotel Queens is geographically located in Jamaica, Queens, providing access to local areas and transportation, and might appear in a "Hotels Near Of Me" search, prospective guests must be fully aware of the highly unfavorable and severe customer feedback available online. The reviews consistently point to significant deficiencies in cleanliness, maintenance (including critical issues like blood stains and lack of hot water), and customer service. This suggests that the hotel's environment and features, as experienced by some guests, fall far short of acceptable standards, irrespective of any potential basic services it might offer. For any user considering this hotel, it is strongly advised to prioritize safety, hygiene, and overall guest satisfaction, and to critically evaluate these reported experiences before making a booking decision.

Mar 11, 2024 · Michael CottonWe stayed in two different rooms. Both rooms were dirty, dingy, cigarette burns in the bedding, sticky carpet/floor, etc. Took cold showers due to no hot water. The first room had BLOOD stains on the ceiling. We alerted front desk the next day and they checked the room and even took pictures. Then they moved us to a second room that was just as dingy as the first. When I called the 3rd party vendor we booked the room through to get a refund after we had completed our stay (did not want to cause a fuss while staying there due to fear that hotel staff or guests put the blood on the ceiling. No way of knowing and fearing safety). We were unable to get a refund due to hotel refusing to give us refund despite showing the proof of the blood on the ceiling. Do NOT recommend as not only are the rooms a biohazard but hotel does not care to make it right. Customer service is trash. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in.
Mar 02, 2023 · Imani RodriguezThis was the most horrific hotel experience I have ever had. The room was freezing because the person who stayed there before me opened the window to smoke a cigarette. The window was unable to be closed properly and I slept in a 40 degree room all night. I used two towels as blankets because they didn’t have any. The room was filthy and disgusting. There was cigarette ash all over the counters and an actual cigarette bud on the floor when I walked in. Everything was sticky and you could tell the room hadn’t been cleared. The sheets were stained. I got in at 7am from JFK and booked the 4 hour stay so I didn’t have to pay the full price. At 10:47, the front desk lady banged on my door, woke me up, and said I needed to leave the hotel or pay for another night. What an awful experience.
Dec 31, 2022 · keri nemeroffThe worst place and Customers service I've ever Experienced. The room was nasty, made complaints and nothing was done. Bein it was late and we were tired, we slept. When morning came, we made a complain, and the female was So Rude, Nasty and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I would Never Recommend anyone to stay there. It looked like a Homeless shelter. Not a good place to relax. I had to take my disinfect out my car to clean the bathroom. Unsanitary!!!!
Mar 23, 2023 · Jacqueline LOVELets keep it simple as we've all been to mediocre unsanitary moderate priced motels. Ive stayed here twice. I come to this neighborhood for business. The first time was fine. Couldnt complain. The second time the room had a foul odor like they didn’t mop or clean the floors or bathroom. Sheets werent clean. Bathroom was all messed up.
