The place is great for the price. It's right by ORD and only a 30 min drive from downtown. There are restaurants nearby and walkable. The place is clean and includes breakfast. There is a pool and a gym. My only complaint is poor service. Upon arriving around 8pm, there wasn't an employee within earshot of the front desk. A line of customers began to form. It was around 5-10 minutes of waiting and calling the front desk before someone showed up casually as if they were there the whole time. They didn't apologize for the delay and appeared to be watching a show or something on their phone.

Jun 17, 2025 · Evan JensenAs an IHG Diamond member I have stayed at many IHG properties world wide. I have never come across such a rude employee working at the front desk as I did at the property. When I went to check out on 7/25/25 at 7:00am. I simply stated to the gentleman working at the front desk that I was checking out of my room and needed a printed receipt. I gave my room number and let him do what he needed to do. The front desk employee asked for my room number one more time. Me thinking I was not clear or did not speak loud enough the first time, I said the room number again but a bit slower to ensure I was speaking clearly. I guess this was rude. As soon as I stated the room number again second time, I hit a big glare / stare-down from the front desk employee. I asked if everything was okay, he stated I didn’t need to be rude. Confused, I said, “ I’m sorry if you thought I was rude. That wasn’t my intention.” All I got in return was an eye role and more more glares / stare-down that almost felt threatening at this point. The front desk employee handed me my receipt, I said thank you and he just rolled his eyes at me again and glared at me. It was also not fun being woken up at 5am by a dog barking the room next to. I travel to this area for business quite often now but will not be returning to this property.
Jul 26, 2025 · William VaughnThis was one of our more unpleasant hotel stays. We were five people who were staying in one room for three nights, and we arrived at 1:30 AM only to find that the elevator was out and would not be repaired before our stay was complete. We were on the fourth floor, and with all of our luggage and some party members being older, this was a struggle for us. Furthermore, when we arrived to our room, we saw that the sink was clogged and water would not drain easily. We let the front desk know the next morning, and they said they’d send someone that day. Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication and they came to the wrong room, so we had to wait an extra day after we let them know of the problem. While I understand the difficulty of maintaining quality service in the hospitality industry, it still felt as if the care for the customers was not fully there.
Jun 28, 2025 · Yavuz SefikI had an excellent stay at the Holiday Inn Express Chicago O’Hare! Veronica provided outstanding service and made my experience unforgettable. The hotel was spotlessly clean, and my room was fantastic. The breakfast selection was incredible, with plenty of delicious options to start the day. Highly recommend!
Apr 16, 2025 · bobbie burgerVery clean and nice hotel. Friendly staff and good morning breakfast. This has got to be one of the cleanest hotels I have been to. The rooms had not a single crumb, the carpet had a couple small stains but other than that even the pullout sofa was clean with no crumbs. Pool is on the smaller side and was not heated.
