The location of the hotel was exactly what we needed. This was our 2nd stay at this location. The 1st stay was ok. No issues except getting sick and a weird smell in the room. The 2nd stay, this stay, well here goes. We booked a larger room so we would have a couch to sit on to watch TV instead of always sitting in bed and a coffee table to maybe bring a pizza back to the room. Online the room we booked said it had a "SEPARATE SITTING AREA" with a couch, a coffee table, and a picture of French doors opening up into this area with a tv on the wall across from the couch and a TV on the wall across from the bed (again separate sitting area). Upon arrival, it was a regular size room with a couch and coffee table right next to the bed, not a "separate area" and only the one TV across from the bed as you wouldn't need 2 tv's that close together. It's a little misleading, to say the least. Then, the next day the tv kept going in and out like bad internet on a streaming TV, to the point the person in the movie would say 2 words then it would freeze and scramble the screen. We contacted the front desk, and he came up and took a video of how bad it was and said, "It was the service provider, and it was happening in other rooms as well." Right after he left, the screen went black, and all we had was sound here and there, so we decided to go to bed early. The next day, the tv started ok, but then it progressively got worse again to the point of the black screen and at 6pm it was toooo early to call it a night so we ended up playing games on our phones. FUN!!! NOT!!! I called the front desk again, and he said the service provider would be out in the a.m. to fix the problem, and I advised him that it would be too late to help us as we were checking out very early a.m. Upon checking out, I spoke with the lady at the front desk and went over the tv issue with her, she recommended I leave a note with my email for the owner asking for a discount on my bill. When I called back to discuss this issue, they gave me a $50 refund on my bill, really $50 for no tv for 3-4 days... They could've done better than $50. Also, it appears, as others have said, there are people that LIVE there as there are young, school kids that get on a bus there every morning and the moms seem to know each other, one mom came down with 4 kids that were coughing up a storm and throwing food, then another mom came down with 3 little ones and she was hacking away, and they all sat together and went out for the bus. Not sure if Section 8 pays them money as guaranteed incase they don't fill up, who knows, but it looks low class and puts out a "cheap motel vibe." There is a "SMELL" that I can't describe but it is a distinct smell that gets in your nose and then you feel like it is on your clothes and everyone is smelling it thinking you STINK, even after plenty of perfume. It's maybe a musty, damp smell. We just thought it was "that" room the 1st time but now after this 2nd stay with same smell, it's not the room. The 1st time we stayed there we all got sick a few days before leaving (we were there for 8 days) and I always mask up on the plane, and now the second time we just got sick the day we came home, both times with cough, sinus, etc. I'm not saying getting sick while traveling isn't going to happen but maybe a little FRESH smelling disinfectant sprayed in the room would go a LONG way. SORRY Holiday Inn Express, we WON'T BE BACK!!

May 02, 2025 · c viziWas honestly surprised and disappointed, I’ve never written a hotel review before. Immediately upon entering our room, it SMELLED. I don’t know how to describe the smell, somewhat musty. These were photos I took upon entering, there were hairs on the bathroom floor and it was extremely clear that the surfaces had not been cleaned at all. The thermostat in the room was so loose on the wall and didn’t work at all. We had driven 9 hours on a road trip and this was our halfway stopping point. It was $300, for this. I didn’t even have the energy to complain or ask for a new room, I was too far exhausted. But I definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel
Apr 14, 2025 · Gumz BIt was in September 2024. This location was being used like section 8 housing. There was social worker meetings in lobby school bus coming by to pick up kids, and it was pricey for this experience. The staff were nice rooms clean.
Jan 15, 2025 · Mrs HFirst time staying here, room was very clean, bed was comfortable and thought we were on the main road side it was very quiet. Breakfest was good,
