Not professional customer service. Traveling from Ohio to Buffalo the lady on the phone tone was un-welcoming and she lied to both me and corporate office so happy I was recording and able to replay call for corporate. I booked room in app thinking I used points but booked for double points, this was my fault which I took blame I need help fixing but the person was so rude and unhelpful stating she going to call corporate and report me for not put a cc on the booking but when you book with point the app don’t ask for a cc which is why I assumed I did everything correctly. Then she went and cancelled my reservation when question about she blamed her manager. Another reason I’ll be moving over to IHG and Marriott! Hilton. In person services THE WORST
For those searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" with a focus on extended stays in the Buffalo-Amherst area, the Homewood Suites by Hilton Buffalo-Amherst is a prominent option. Located at 1138 Millersport Hwy, Buffalo, NY 14226, USA, this hotel is designed to provide guests with a comfortable and convenient home-away-from-home experience. The hotel can be reached by phone at (716) 833-2277 or by mobile at +1 716-833-2277.
Homewood Suites by Hilton aims to provide a welcoming and functional environment for guests, particularly those on longer stays. The hotel features suite-style accommodations designed to offer more space and amenities than a standard hotel room. The overall atmosphere typically strives for a residential feel, which can be appealing to guests seeking comfort beyond a typical hotel room. Public areas are generally well-maintained, and guests often mention the inviting nature of the common spaces, such as the outdoor patio with a fire pit and barbecue grills. However, it's important to note that recent guest feedback indicates some inconsistencies in maintaining the property's condition, with one review specifically mentioning that "The hall way carpets are gross." While individual rooms are often described as clean, the perceived general upkeep of common areas like hallways can impact the overall impression. Despite this, the hotel maintains a non-smoking policy to ensure a fresh environment indoors.
Homewood Suites by Hilton is known for its comprehensive services tailored for extended stays. These typically include a complimentary hot breakfast served daily, offering a significant value for guests. They also often feature an evening social (manager's reception) on select weeknights, providing complimentary light fare, beer, and wine, fostering a sense of community among guests. The hotel offers a 24-hour front desk, ensuring assistance is available around the clock. Other conveniences include complimentary grocery shopping service, a 24-hour convenience store (Suite Shop) for snacks and essentials, and on-site laundry facilities for guest use. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, including in all suites. The hotel also provides a 24-hour business center and meeting rooms for those traveling for work. A complimentary airport shuttle service may be available, though it is always recommended to confirm this directly with the hotel.
Despite these extensive offerings, recent customer reviews highlight significant concerns regarding customer service. One guest reported a "not professional customer service" experience, including a rude phone interaction, a perceived lie about booking details, and an unauthorized cancellation of their reservation. This individual's account suggests a stark contrast to the expected Hilton standard of hospitality. Such experiences can be particularly frustrating for travelers, impacting their trust in the brand. While other reviews, such as those praising "Jillian" at the front desk for "excellent customer service" and being "very knowledgeable," suggest that positive interactions do occur, the inconsistency in service quality is a notable point for potential guests.
The suites at Homewood Suites by Hilton Buffalo-Amherst are designed for comfort and functionality during extended stays. Each suite typically features a separate living area and sleeping area, along with a fully equipped kitchen. The kitchens generally include a full-sized refrigerator, microwave, stovetop, dishwasher, and all necessary utensils, allowing guests the flexibility to prepare their own meals. In-room amenities usually include flat-screen TVs with premium cable channels, a comfortable workspace with a desk and ergonomic chair, and an iron/ironing board. While a room safe is a common amenity in many hotels, one review specifically noted its absence and a vague response from the front desk, indicating that this feature might not be standard in all rooms. Other features include air conditioning and private bathrooms with complimentary toiletries. Some guests have commented on the room layout feeling "extremely cramped," and issues with basic amenities such as a "no bathroom fan" and "one-ply" toilet paper, which might not align with expectations for the price point.
For recreation, the hotel offers an indoor pool, although one review noted that the "pool was too cold to use." A 24-hour fitness center is also available, providing guests with opportunities to maintain their exercise routines. The hotel also offers outdoor recreational amenities like barbecue grills and possibly a basketball court.

Apr 17, 2025 · kennitra riceThe hall way carpets are gross, but the room was clean. That said, it had a strange lay-out, and felt extremely cramped. There was no room safe; front desk said, "no one has ever asked, maybe check the closet?".The pool was too cold to use. If you plan on watching TV, you'll need your own plan to use streaming services. No bathroom fan. I've heard you can tell the quality of a hotel, by the Toilet tissue they use...this is a one-ply hotel. It's just not worth the price they're asking.
Feb 04, 2025 · Tim DonovanThe room was nice; the pool and hot tub was nice. I thought the incidental fee was too high for the quality of the hotel; no actually spa services at location like on website I would not consider the hot tub an spa service and the breakfast was terrible
Mar 31, 2025 · ivanna carmichaelRoom is comfy and there's a great outdoor bbq area with a basketball court. The gym feels a bit small but the pool is very nice.
