This was my first trip to Boston, and I wanted a hotel that was different, with a great location. AKA was the perfect destination and was walkable to tons of fun areas, and the service was above and beyond. Calvin and staff did a wonderful job in accommodating my mother and I's random requests, such as an umbrella as it started down pouring right before our trip to breakfast, a microwave and mini fridge delivery to store takeout, and walking us through the blinds as we just couldn't figure them out. The hotel was beautiful, but the service really took it to the next level for me. Thank you AKA staff for making it a truly wonderful experience! The next time I'm in Boston, I'll be back. 😊

The employees at the front desk are very nice and helpful. The walls in the room are so thin! You can hear the neighbors and people in the hallway. Bed and pillows are comfortable. Not enough lights in the room. Had to huddle, cramped, right next to a lamp in order to read at night. The mini-fridge has weird shelving that leaves almost no room for any of your drinks. Definitely no space for food. There's no microwave either, so forget about bringing leftovers back to the room. The shower has a hole in the glass so that you can adjust the tempeture before hopping in, which was nice. When I walked into the bathroom for the first time, I had to clean out some stranger's hair from the drain 🤮 clearly the cleaners do NOT do a thorough job

I had an absolutely amazing stay at AKA Boston! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and at home. The suite was impeccably clean, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable — the perfect blend of luxury and convenience. The location is unbeatable, with easy access to everything Boston has to offer. I truly appreciated the attention to detail and the quiet, relaxed atmosphere. I can’t recommend AKA Boston highly enough and will definitely be returning for my next trip!

Edit: After the hotel management saw my initial review, they contacted me and refunded two of the destination fees (to compensate for the two service problems). Therefore, I've revised my service rating from 2 to 3 stars, and overall rating from 3 to 4 stars. If this hotel wasn't so expensive, I'd have given it 4 stars. The room and amenities were generally nice, but the service level as well as the condition of the plumbing was not so good. On one of the days during my stay, housekeeping neglected to service the room, so I had to call the front desk to deliver clean towels and coffee cups. On the last morning, the water went completely cold halfway through my shower. I mentioned this to the front desk staff person when I was checking out, and she said she'd deduct the destination fee for the inconvenience. However, when I looked an my invoice later, the fee was not deducted! On the positive side, though, the coffee in the room was very good, and free wine in the lobby from 4 to 5 was a nice touch.

We booked this hotel to stay for our wedding weekend in Boston with our parents. Oyuky Torres was absolutely incredibly in helping make sure everything went so smoothly and everyone got what they needed. She was responsive to our questions and truly embodied hospitality.
