Hotel Fuego Bronx

I had an amazing stay during my time at this hotel. The staff was incredibly kind. The vending machines had amazing snacks and killer prices. The only thing I wish I could have done more was stay another day. The beds are impeccably comfortable. This is truly a diamond in the rough. If you’re ever looking for a modern and sleek hotel at a fair price I would recommend Hotel Fuego without a doubt!

I do not recommend this hotel at all. My partner checked at 2 pm and left right away as we were running late to our event. We returned to the hotel around 9 pm, an went through the room. It was absolutely disgusting. The blankets were dirty, the pillows were dirty, the sheets were dirty, the floor was dirty, and it looked like there was mold on the ceiling. We also found crushed weed on the bed. Someone opened up the cups for our room, there also seemed to be things left over from the last guests. I called the front desk to see if they could refund our money and we could go home and they said no there’s no refunds. I then asked if they could change the room, and they said the hotel is fully booked. I lastly asked if I could get new pillows and blankets. Which they did adhere to, but after thinking about it I did not feel like it was worth staying. My and my partner packed our things and drove back upstate. It is the bare minimum to provide fresh linens and a new roll of toilet paper and that was not done. I spoke to the evening staff before I left and it did seem like she was more concerned why we didn’t say something right away. Which next time that can one hundred percent be done, but I had to explain to her, it does change the fact that the room is digesting and it’s your responsibility and your staffs to make sure the room and clean and ready for the guest. I would never stay there again and their management needs to look into why the staff were comfortable leaving the room like that. Unhygienic and Untrustworthy Hotel – Avoid at All Costs 🤢🚫 I stayed at this hotel and was horrified to discover multiple body hairs, unidentified debris, and even a cigarette burn on the bedding 🤮. It was clear the sheets hadn’t been cleaned, and the overall hygiene was absolutely unacceptable. To make matters worse, the front desk staff was extremely rude 😠, and it was an exhausting process to even get them to agree to a refund. After much effort, they finally promised a refund and confirmed it via email. However, despite their promise, I have yet to receive my refund, and my follow-up emails have been completely ignored 😡. This place fails basic cleanliness standards, has terrible customer service, and cannot be trusted to keep its word. Avoid this hotel at all costs! 🚨❌

Front desk was so rude they have no reason to be like that when their hotel is not up to standard or even stay able By far the nastiest hotel in New York seems like it was just built so there’s that the photos are catfishing!! Why is there a cleaning lady but no clean rooms the rooms they gave us were dirty the floor was beyond sticky and black there was also hair all over the toilet and shower two days in a row we were given a dirty hotel the bedding had cigarette burns all over and were stained I got a non smoking room for that reason and it was still dirty I have never been to a hotel this dirty the bed was not made when I arrived the sheets and bedding were all in the middle of the bed as if the cleaning person was to lazy to make the bed. I don’t understand why they don’t care about hygiene it was truly disgusting I won’t ever be coming here again I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

Upside: the bathroom & shower are impeccably up to date, & would be considered luxurious in a modern apartment or house. Downside: I can appreciate the bathroom-style vent fan in the bedroom area that turns on when the lights are switched on, but it seems that little can be done about the musky human body odor (probably that of males) living in the walls & ceiling. I was willing to put up w/ it for a one-night visit, but it was especially bad after I showered shortly before checking out; I got out of the bathroom feeling clean & refreshed, only to gag on the thick foul man scent. All of this might be a product of this hotel catering to all different kinds of tourism, but it's also a glimpse into "real New York" w/ its unusual location.
