Part of the Choice Hotels family, Sleep Inn aims to provide a reliable and restful experience for travelers, emphasizing clean, comfortable, and consistent lodging. This introduction will objectively detail the hotel's environment, services, features, and any relevant promotional information, drawing from available online data and customer reviews.
The environment of the Sleep Inn in the Bronx is designed with a modern and streamlined aesthetic, typical of the brand's "Designed to Dream" philosophy. The hotel is situated in a vibrant part of the Bronx, specifically near Arthur Avenue, a renowned culinary destination. One positive review highlights that the area surrounding the hotel is "surrounded by a ton of good food specifically on Arthur Avenue a lot of Italian and Albanian old World shops with great seafood and meats." This indicates a lively local atmosphere with plenty of dining and cultural exploration opportunities right outside the hotel's doors. The hotel itself strives for a quiet environment, with one guest praising it as "very quiet not a lot of disturbances outside for a New York City hotel," which is a significant advantage in a bustling city. However, another review directly contradicts this, describing their stay as the "Nosiest night sleep in a hotel ever," due to an "extremely loud Saturday night block party right outside the windows," making it "sounded like we were in a club in our room." This stark contrast suggests that the noise level can be highly dependent on external events or the specific room location within the hotel. The hotel maintains a smoke-free policy throughout its premises, ensuring a fresh and clean air environment for guests. The building's structure is generally modern, featuring elements such as an elevator for easy access to all floors, and a lobby designed for efficiency and guest comfort.
Services at the Sleep Inn are focused on providing convenience and essential comforts for guests. A 24-hour front desk ensures that staff are available around the clock to assist with check-in, check-out, and any inquiries. Complimentary wireless internet access (Wi-Fi) is available throughout the hotel, a crucial amenity for both business and leisure travelers. The hotel offers a free hot breakfast, which is a significant value-add for guests starting their day. While specific items aren't always detailed, this typically includes a variety of breakfast staples. For guests with vehicles, the hotel provides free parking, which is a substantial benefit in New York City where parking can be scarce and expensive. However, one negative review explicitly stated that they "were told in advance that parking was not an issue, and it was an issue," suggesting that parking availability might be limited or miscommunicated at times. Daily housekeeping services are provided to ensure rooms remain clean and comfortable. The hotel also typically offers business-friendly amenities such as a business center with internet access and a copy machine. For guest security, the Sleep Inn brand generally incorporates security features such as well-lit parking lots, interior corridors, and sometimes electronic key card access. The hotel's phone number is (347) 352-4432 or +1 347-352-4432 for direct inquiries and reservations.
The features of the rooms at Sleep Inn are designed for comfort and practicality. All guestrooms are air-conditioned, providing a comfortable climate control. Rooms typically come with flat-screen televisions offering cable channels for entertainment. Guests can expect comfortable beds, with one positive reviewer stating they "got great sleeps" and found the "soaps they give out were really nice too." Private bathrooms are equipped with a shower/tub combination, along with complimentary toiletries and hairdryers. For added convenience, rooms often include a coffee/tea maker, an iron and ironing board, and a safe. Some rooms, like the "corner suite" mentioned in a review, might offer additional space and features, such as a pull-out couch. However, the negative review highlighted issues with the pull-out couch in a suite, stating "we were told there were no pillows for the couch and the bedding that was finally provided had holes in it," which points to potential inconsistencies in room amenities and maintenance for specific features like sofa beds. The hotel also offers accessible rooms for guests with disabilities, ensuring wider inclusivity. While not explicitly stated for this location, Sleep Inn hotels often feature a fitness center, allowing guests to maintain their workout routines.

Other nearby attractions include Fordham University, Bronx Zoo, and New York Botanical Garden, making the hotel a suitable base for visiting these popular destinations. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), though travel times can vary significantly depending on traffic.

Jun 19, 2022 · Alexander KNosiest night sleep in a hotel ever. There was an extremely loud Saturday night block party right outside the windows (sounded like we were in a club in our room.) We were told in advance that parking was not an issue, and it was an issue. For the pull-out couch in the Suite, we were told there were no pillows for the couch and the bedding that was finally provided had holes in it. Extremely disappointing stay at the Sleep Inn. I definitely don’t recommend it.
Aug 28, 2022 · Samantha BermanComfortable and clean inn just a short walking distance from Arthur Avenue, known for being the main artery of the incredible Bronx's Little Italy, filled with quaint shops and delicious food. It's also in walking distance to the stunning New York Botanical Garden and Bronx Zoo. The room I stayed in had a serene ambience and a large screen smart TV equipped with Disney +, Netflix, etc. It also included a refrigerator. My stay included a free breakfast as well.
Apr 27, 2022 · Daniella InsalacoWarning!!! This Hotel does definitely not exist any more. We went there with a reservation we made months ago and we were kicked out because apparently the building ist now used otherwise. Not Sure, but it could be some kind of Scam to defraud Tourists and (European) travel Agencies for Money
Jun 01, 2023 · Bernd IbeleWe have booked our stay at this hotel about one month ago. We have arrived to the hotel at 10 pm and we were announced that our reservation was canceled due to lack of free rooms. They told us that they had tried to contact us in the morning the day of our arrival while we were already in plane and that they couldn't do more for us. They even didn't pay for the taxi we needed to take to the new hotel that we were forced to find on our own... I was really furious!
