May 21, 2025 · Saul MolinaI am surprised that this hotel only has 3.8 stars. I absolutely loved staying here. The lobby area is so cute and welcoming. The woman at the front desk was always friendly. My room (grand king) was spacious and unique. The rooftop restaurant was wonderful- amazing atmosphere, view, and happy hour prices. This was my first time traveling alone for work and my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
May 27, 2025 · Lauren BauerI stayed at that hotel two times in less than a month. The place is very nice, very clean. The receptionist and the team there are all very nice and professional! The rooms are very clean and they actually do room service everyday, also I did not have any issues it is very quiet. The hotel is surrounded by different bars , restaurants and coffee shops, so it has a good location. I highly recommend this place!
Jun 15, 2025 · Dania ArayssiMy recent stay at Hotel Nell in Washington, D.C., was a mixed experience with notable highlights and areas for improvement. Upon arrival, I was immediately impressed by the exemplary customer service provided by the front desk staff. On Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, the two individuals managing the desk were incredibly welcoming and efficient in handling all check-in procedures. Their professionalism and friendliness set a positive tone for my stay, and I cannot commend them enough for their excellent service. The rooms at Hotel Nell, however, are on the smaller side. While they are well-appointed, the limited space may not suit everyone's needs. Additionally, the hotel could improve by offering clearer instructions on how to use some of the room's technology. Navigating the gadgets proved a bit challenging without detailed guidance. Culinary experiences at the hotel left me with mixed feelings. I absolutely enjoyed an exquisite dish of cheese grits and shrimp; it was a delightful taste sensation. However, my enthusiasm was dampened by the misconception of prawns. The shrimp served were of average size, certainly not prawns or even jumbo. As someone who has a keen interest in food, accuracy in menu descriptions is essential, and Hotel Nell needs to be more precise in this regard. The rooftop bar was another highlight, offering a pleasant atmosphere with an excellent view. The complimentary Margarita was a lovely touch, enhancing the overall experience at the bar. In conclusion, Hotel Nell offers excellent customer service and some enjoyable amenities, but there's room for improvement in room instructions and culinary accuracy. Despite these shortcomings, the friendly staff and delightful rooftop bar certainly add value to the stay.
May 15, 2025 · Event Conference NuttWe really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Nell! It was so cute and perfect for a weekend trip. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our only issue was the walls of the room were a little thin so if people were just slightly louder than a normal volume you could hear them. Overall still a great place to stay and next time we’re in DC, we’ll be returning to this hotel.
