Jun 10, 2025 · Ivan MedranoAn acceptable deal. My friend forgot to leave the door unlocked. So I had to find a hotel at 2 a.m. This was the cheapest option in all DC. It's right on 50 so you hear all the traffic. And the walls aren't the thickest. But I was surprised by how clean the room was. There wasn't a remote but the desk gave me one. If you're a princess stay in the La Quinta directly across the street. But if you want to not spend money this place is fine.
May 22, 2025 · Matthew ShurtleffThis Hotel is the Best Deal in Town. Location was perfect. Bus Stop next to Hotel gets you to The Metro. RAJ, the Front Desk Clerk, was very friendly and nice. He was great to us as well as ADU. Rooms were clean with Modern Amenities. Simple but Nice. Thank you Ivy City Hotel for a Very Nice Stay.
Jun 16, 2025 · Jim StocktonThis is a glorified motel… do your research before booking this hotel. The area is definitely not great and a bit sketchy. The rooms were honestly worse. They did a great job at taking deceiving photos of the rooms. When we went to our room it smelled like smoke, there were loose hairs in the sheets of the bed, and an actual poop mark on the toilet seat. The towels they provided also didn’t look very clean and we didn’t trust using them. We immediately left and went to the Target down to street and bought ourselves cleaning products and disinfectant, hand soap, a sheet to put over their nasty sheets, pillows, and our own towels. Then each night because the door to your room opens directly into the parking lot, all you heard were neighboring people outside talking, laughing, and smoking up until maybe 3 am. We left one morning and saw room service two doors down from us but when we got back to our room that evening they never even came into our room. Our trash was still full and they didn’t take any of the nasty towels we left out for them. The only pro this place has is free parking.
Apr 02, 2025 · Helen ParrishI stayed at this hotel for one night, expecting a peaceful and restful stay. Unfortunately, starting at 8 AM, loud construction work began right outside—workers were cutting metal for hours. The noise was unbearable, and we couldn’t sleep at all. What’s worse, no one informed us beforehand that renovations or repairs would be taking place during our stay. Had we known, we would have chosen a different hotel. This lack of communication and consideration for guests is unacceptable. I hope the management takes this seriously and improves their communication in the future.
