Hotel Richmond Introduce

Welcome to Hotel Richmond, located at 71 Central Ave, Staten Island, NY 10301, USA. Operating within the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform category, Hotel Richmond serves as a lodging option in Staten Island. The hotel can be reached at (718) 447-8445 or +1 718-447-8445. This introduction aims to provide local users with an objective overview of Hotel Richmond, detailing its environment, services, features, and any available promotional information, specifically incorporating direct customer feedback as provided.

The environment at Hotel Richmond, based on customer reviews, indicates a property that is significantly dated and in poor condition. Guests have described the hotel as "very nasty, dirty, low class," with "dirty rooms" and a pervasive "stink." The decor is characterized as "old fashioned," with specific mention of "torn blinds" and "dirty" floors. One review explicitly states that the paint is "peeling and cracked badly." The overall aesthetic appears to be neglected and in need of substantial renovation. The atmosphere is further impacted by observations such as "bums hang out here," which contributes to a perception of the hotel being "disgusting" and "filthy." The general consensus regarding the environment suggests that it is not well-maintained and may not meet basic cleanliness or comfort expectations for many travelers. For local users searching for "Hotels Near Of Me," it is crucial to understand that Hotel Richmond appears to cater to a very specific, extremely budget-conscious segment, where amenities and upkeep are minimal. The location on Central Ave in Staten Island places it within a more urbanized area, but the immediate environment of the hotel itself, as described by guests, seems to detract from any potential neighborhood advantages.

The services offered at Hotel Richmond, as inferred from the provided feedback, appear to be very basic and limited. While direct information on specific services such as housekeeping frequency, front desk hours, or other typical hotel offerings is not provided, the general sentiment regarding the hotel's condition implies a bare-bones service model. Guests should anticipate minimal services. For instance, the comment about "the radiator puts out way too much heat" suggests that climate control may not be individually adjustable within rooms, pointing to a more centralized and less flexible system. The lack of an expected bathroom in a room that was requested to have one, and instead only having a sink, indicates a significant discrepancy in advertised or expected services versus what is actually provided. This suggests a lack of attention to detail or perhaps a misunderstanding of guest needs. Given the descriptions of dirtiness and disrepair, it is unlikely that comprehensive services such as daily meticulous cleaning, responsive maintenance, or a wide array of guest amenities are standard. Therefore, guests considering Hotel Richmond should prepare for a self-sufficient stay with very few, if any, additional services beyond the provision of a room.

The features of Hotel Richmond, as detailed by customer accounts, are consistently described as deficient and outdated. Rooms are characterized as "smaller side" and lacking modern comforts. Specific issues highlighted include "old fashioned bedspreads" and "torn blinds," indicating a lack of investment in contemporary furnishings or basic upkeep. A significant feature concern is the heating system, with a guest reporting the "radiator puts out way too much heat," implying discomfort and a lack of control over room temperature. Entertainment options are severely limited, as "the TV has only limited channels," suggesting basic cable or no cable service at all. Furthermore, a concerning detail is that "the window is also held shut by a 2x4," which raises significant safety and security questions and points to severe structural disrepair within the rooms. The bathrooms, or lack thereof, are also a major feature issue; one guest explicitly stated that a room requested with a bathroom only had a sink. This indicates that some rooms may not have private, in-room bathroom facilities, requiring guests to use shared facilities, which is a significant departure from standard hotel expectations. The price point, with a $75 option mentioned, aligns with a very low-cost, no-frills accommodation. However, the reviews suggest that even at this price, the value proposition is questionable, with one reviewer remarking that the rooms "should be $15 a night" due to their condition. These features collectively paint a picture of a property that offers extremely basic, and in some cases, substandard accommodations.

Regarding promotional information, no specific promotions or special offers for Hotel Richmond are publicly available or discernible from the provided information. Given the nature and described condition of the hotel, it is highly probable that its primary promotional strategy is based on offering very low prices, aiming to attract guests who prioritize cost above all other factors, including cleanliness, comfort, and amenities. The mention of a "$75 option" confirms its positioning as a budget-friendly establishment. However, the strong negative feedback from customers, including warnings like "Please try at your own risk," suggests that even at a low price, the hotel may not provide satisfactory value. Potential guests looking for "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Staten Island area who are considering Hotel Richmond should manage their expectations accordingly, understanding that the savings in cost will likely come at the expense of quality, comfort, and modern conveniences. It is recommended to contact the hotel directly at (718) 447-8445 to inquire about current rates and any potential deals, but also to carefully consider the candid customer reviews before making a reservation.

In conclusion, Hotel Richmond at 71 Central Ave, Staten Island, NY, presents itself as an extremely budget-oriented lodging option within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category. Based on comprehensive customer feedback, its environment is described as dirty and poorly maintained, services are basic and potentially unreliable, and features are severely lacking, with significant issues related to cleanliness, comfort, and safety. While direct promotional information is absent, its appeal appears to rest solely on its very low price point. Local users seeking accommodation in Staten Island should be fully aware of these widely reported deficiencies and consider Hotel Richmond only if their budget is extremely limited and their expectations for quality and comfort are minimal.

Hotel or homeless shelter? Could have fooled me. If you pay for the $75 option don't expect much. The radiator puts out way to much heat. Paint is peeling and cracked badly. I ask for a room with a bathroom and all it has is a sink. And do not bank on the TV for entertainment as they have only limited channels. The window is also held shut by a 2x4.

This place is trash. I only gave it 1 star cuz Google made me so I can write a review. There's a new owner, Manny but he's no better than Paul. Dirty nasty not every room has a bathroom so there's bathrooms n the hallway that are always dirty and nasty. That's where the stud addicts go to get high. If you have children with you definitely DO NOT BRING THEM HERE

This is good if you're looking for a 1 night stay it's $80 for 2 people one bed and one bathroom. However I do not recommend staying more than 1 night because of the cleaness and the bugs. It's not infested but you'll see one or two bugs. The water is cold doesn't have hot water. So I suggest showering before you get there unless you absolutely have to shower at the hotel. Cozy bed but don't forget to check the sheets!!
