We booked at the last minute to add an extra day for our stay. They had one room left, and I feel sure it is the last room they use. There were cracks in the ceiling. The curtains did not close. We used a hanger to hold them together. The pipes in the shower were not secure. The room was clean, and it was conveniently located. The continental breakfast was fabulous, and Richard (Ritchy Rich) at the front desk was extremely hospitable and helpful. Parking was $25 a day, but it was well worth it to park in the garage.

Inn at the Peachtrees, Ascend Hotel Collection Introduce

Positioned as a key offering on the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform, the Inn at the Peachtrees, Ascend Hotel Collection, provides a convenient and often budget-friendly option for those looking to explore Atlanta. Located at 330 W Peachtree St NW, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA, with direct contact available at (404) 577-6970 or +1 404-577-6970, this hotel serves as an excellent base for both leisure and business travelers seeking to be in the heart of the city's vibrant energy.

Environment and Location: Strategically Placed for Urban Exploration

The Inn at the Peachtrees boasts a highly strategic location, nestled between Atlanta's bustling Downtown and dynamic Midtown districts. This allows guests easy access to a vast array of attractions, dining, and entertainment options. The hotel is within walking distance of iconic landmarks such as the World of Coca-Cola, the Georgia Aquarium, Centennial Olympic Park, and the National Center for Civil and Human Rights. Its proximity to two MARTA stations (Civic Center and Peachtree Center) ensures excellent connectivity to other parts of the city, including the Georgia World Congress Center, State Farm Arena, and various corporate offices.

The hotel itself occupies a building with an Art Deco architectural style, adding a touch of classic charm to its urban setting. While it's an older property, efforts are made to maintain its character and offer a comfortable stay. It features a beautiful, tucked-away garden courtyard with patio furniture, providing a peaceful escape from the city bustle – a rare find in such a central location. The common areas, including the lobby, aim to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. With 109 rooms spread across four floors, the Inn at the Peachtrees offers a more intimate scale compared to larger chain hotels.

Services and Amenities: Focused on Essential Comforts

The Inn at the Peachtrees, Ascend Hotel Collection, focuses on providing essential services and amenities that cater to the needs of most travelers. A standout feature is the complimentary full American-style breakfast buffet offered daily. On weekdays, breakfast is typically available from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM, and on weekends from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM. This breakfast usually includes items like scrambled eggs, sausages, fresh waffles, and baked goods, which is a significant value-add for guests.

For those looking to stay active, the hotel provides a fitness center equipped for workouts. Guests can also utilize the 24-hour business center and a meeting room for professional needs. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, ensuring guests can stay connected. Other conveniences include a 24-hour front desk, daily housekeeping, a gift shop, luggage storage, and vending machines. While the hotel does not have a full-service restaurant for lunch or dinner, coffee and tea are available in common areas, and there are numerous dining options within easy walking distance.

One aspect frequently mentioned in guest reviews is the parking situation. The hotel offers self-parking with in/out privileges for a fee, typically $25.00 per night. While on-site parking is available, it can be limited, and guests might be directed to nearby parking facilities, also for a fee. It's important to note that, as one reviewer indicated, the hotel bears no responsibility for break-ins in the parking lots, so guests should exercise caution.

Regarding room amenities, guests can expect features such as 43-inch flat-screen televisions with premium channels, refrigerators, coffee/tea makers, ironing facilities, and in-room safes. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning for comfort. While some rooms may show signs of wear and tear, as noted by a reviewer about cracks in the ceiling or curtains not closing perfectly, the hotel generally aims for cleanliness.

Features and Distinctive Offerings

As part of the Ascend Hotel Collection, the Inn at the Peachtrees offers a unique, local flavor that differentiates it from larger, more standardized chains. The brand emphasizes hotels that reflect the local character and history, and this property embraces its downtown Atlanta setting. Its Art Deco design and the peaceful garden courtyard are distinctive features that contribute to its charm. The multilingual staff is often praised by guests for being helpful and hospitable, as highlighted by the mention of "Richard (Ritchy Rich) at the front desk" being "extremely hospitable and helpful."

The complimentary breakfast is a consistent highlight for many guests, offering a good start to the day without an extra cost. The hotel's position between Midtown and Downtown provides a unique advantage, offering access to both commercial hubs and entertainment districts. The hotel is also a non-smoking property, ensuring a fresh environment for guests.

However, it's worth noting some areas derived from customer feedback. While cleanliness is generally appreciated, some specific room conditions have been mentioned, such as unsecure shower pipes or issues with curtains. The general perception of safety in the surrounding city area, particularly at night, has been a concern for some long-term patrons, indicating a changing urban environment. Additionally, daily room service is not standard and must be specifically requested, which is a detail guests should be aware of.

The hotel is accessible, offering wheelchair-accessible parking, business centers, gyms, public bathrooms, and registration desks, along with braille/raised signage and well-lit paths to the entrance.

Stayed for 3 nights. A few issues.. a shortage of towels, no daily room service (have to specifically ask for it), the parking garage was unavailable. They mention lots in front and behind the hotel are available but BEWARE that your car may be broken into like ours which the hotel will bear no responsibility for… witnessed an altercation between the staff and a half-naked homeless man. I’ve had better experiences. Overall, mostly clean rooms, great A/C, and centrally located between Midtown and Downtown areas. Used to feel safer but the city is changing I guess.

I did not like it. I picked it because it was last minute. The first room they had me was right in the courtyard where people gathered. Loud noise right outside. It was an accessible room which I didn't need. The room was dated with peeling paint, and the door lock didn't seem secure. They accommodated my request for a room change. The change wasn't great but better than the first. Shelves were dusty, furniture chipped and damaged. Shower head and faucet loose. I didn't make too much of a fuss because I was only staying less than 25 hours.

If I could give this place a zero I would. I’d say this place needs to be broken down and replaced. The pictures on Expedia are a far cry from what the hotel actually looks like. The shower had hair in it. The door looked like there was poo splatter that they forgot to wipe off; the bathroom wall was dirty. The ac unit made it impossible to sleep and when I call down to try front desk about the phones not working he said it was a wiring issue as if it was to be expected when you pay for a hotel room. Off the street parking was advertised on Expedia for this hotel but when we got there we had to pay for parking. Luckily our car wasn’t broken into but the cars on either side of our car were. There needs to be better advertisement about the hotels and better communication between the travel site and the hotels themselves. When I call to speak with someone about my stay I got the run around so I hope this review saves another family time, money and a piece of mind.

Dirty. Loud. Unresponsive. This place is not worth the price. I had to stay here because everything else in the approved price ranges was taken and I was prepared for it to be nothing fancy but, this was worse than any motel I’ve stayed at. The sheets on one bed were stained, the other was weird smelling. Every day I ask for them to take out the trash in my room and change the sheets, they did not. One day they threw a fresh towel on the desk. I had to take turns with another guest on the one working treadmill. The halls were dirty, the rooms were dirty, the towels were clean but that’s about it. Lots of little things on the rooms just didn’t work. Whenever I called the front desk no one would answer. There were always people slamming doors and a really loud bird every night in the middle of the night. Definitely the worst hotel/motel I’ve stayed at.
