This was a spontaneous weekend trip with my family friends. This hotel is the perfect option for us, the location is just so perfect. If you get lucky you can get the view of the White House without leaving your hotel room. The hotel is walking distance to the Washington Monument. Inside the hotel, as soon as you walk in you get a bit thrown back by the massive lobby, that is so elegant, and beautiful. The hotel staff are incredible, when we got there they quickly checked us in and gave us our rooms. We had the most simplest room on the 8th floor, facing the courtyard. It was a very nice view. The room was simple, but everything was clean, and the beds were neat and the bathroom tidy. Nothing smelled, nothing was out of place, the hotel room was in very good shape. The breakfast their is my most favorite part. There is a spot in the cafe, that has a window view, and I loved it. The cafe has everything that you would expect a cafe to have, it has eggs, sausages, french breakfasts, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, assortment of juices and pastries and more. Everything was very good but I got my lox bagel which was delicious (but honestly you cannot mess up a lox bagel but either way it was good). We had a very wonderful experience and if we ever come back to Washington DC we will definitely stay here again.

Jun 11, 2025 · Sofia Samarenko(Writing this from the hotel) My husband and I are celebrating our first wedding anniversary, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place. Great location, and views from our window. It’s nice and spacious. The beds are comfy, and so are the pillows. The lobby is pretty. However, the bathroom and the living room area could have been cleaner. The weight scale in the bathroom is most likely out of battery. The service could have been better. We asked for more water and coffee pods, but we never received them. I’d still recommend it due to its location.
May 28, 2025 · Laiba HussainThe hotel’s common areas were charming and had a genuine historical feel. The rooms were decent, but the cleanliness of the shower and bathtub was disappointing—I noticed multiple strands of hair, which was off-putting. Additionally, the cleaning standards and room amenities could definitely use an upgrade.
Mar 23, 2025 · Shabnam KWe stayed here for the holidays and our experience was magical! We upgraded to the Teddy Roosevelt Suite which was so incredibly appointed and had an impressive sweeping view of Pennsylvania Avenue. We enjoyed delicious cocktails and appetizers at the Round Robin bar and ordered a fantastic breakfast that we enjoyed in our suite. The service from valet to front desk to bar and room service was impeccable and we were treated so well we didn’t want to leave! The location is perfect for sightseeing and enjoying all downtown DC has to offer, esp during the holidays! Highly recommend the Willard!
Jan 13, 2025 · J KThe location is good and the cleanliness acceptable. Yet, the conduct of the staff is nothing short of disgraceful — indifferent, inattentive, and wholly unprofessional. As for the security personnel, their behavior borders on outright insolence. I was personally subjected to misconduct on two occasions, and regrettably, so were my guests upon arrival. A deeply disappointing experience that speaks volumes about the management’s standards — or lack thereof.
