Pros: Hotel is easy to find and quiet for being next to airport. Rooms were somewhat updated and clean. Floors are vinyl and tile. Hotel is pet friendly and they have a small fee of $25 per pet. Water temp in shower was nice and hot, pressure good. Adequate green space for dog in back of hotel. Cons: Do not use the QR code on the sign in the lobby to check in. It does not work well and you will still end up providing the same exact information to the lobby clerk. The room we stayed in was 66 degrees and we were not able to adjust thermostat. The electrical plug on nightstand was loose and kept cutting out which was problematic for the hubby who uses a CPAP. The foundation base of bed is tin and would rattle loudly. (Very irritating). BEWARE of access back to freeway. It is such a problem the hotel gives specific instructions for how to safely return to freeway. Basically routes you right turns until you get to a light where you can cross safely and return to freeway.

Promotional Information and Considerations:

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Knoxville Airport effectively promotes its key advantages: its prime location near the airport, comprehensive amenities, and reputation for cleanliness and friendly service. The positive reviews overwhelmingly support these claims, with guests frequently praising the hotel as a "breath of fresh air" and a "gem." The cleanliness, comfortable beds, excellent breakfast, and kind staff are recurring themes. However, it is important to provide an objective view, acknowledging the minor concerns raised by some guests. One review mentioned a specific room where the thermostat could not be adjusted, leading to a consistently cool temperature (66 degrees), and a loose electrical plug on the nightstand which was problematic for a CPAP user. Another detail mentioned was a rattling tin foundation base of the bed, which could be irritating. While these are specific to one room and potentially minor, they are worth noting. The advice regarding the QR code for check-in in the lobby, which was reported as inefficient, is also a useful practical tip for future guests. Despite these minor points, the overall sentiment from recent customer feedback is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests expressing a strong desire to stay again. The hotel's commitment to providing a reliable, clean, and welcoming environment, coupled with its convenient features like the airport shuttle and pet-friendly policy, makes it a highly recommended option for users of the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform seeking quality accommodation in the Alcoa area.

This hotel was a breath of fresh air and much needed relaxation for us. My husband, 3 year old, 1 year old, and myself were forced to leave a hotel in Townsend around 12am because of bugs and other problems. We had a hard time finding a decent place to stay in the middle of the night, but we found this gem! The location is near the airport, but our stay was quiet. The gentleman at the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful when we arrived. He had amazing customer service. The hotel is very nice for the price. As soon as we arrived in the room, it smelled extremely clean and appeared immaculate. Beds slept great. Dove products in the bathroom. Breakfast was waffles, eggs, sausage, parfait station with toppings, breads, juices, milk, fruits. Perfect for a free breakfast with kiddos. We did not get to use the indoor pool, but it looked SO nice and I loved the big windows with natural light. Checkout was a breeze with the manager, she was so sweet and courteous. We will definitely be staying here again in the future. I love finding a place that you can trust to stay at.

We booked a room for one night on Expedia. According to Expedia, the room I booked slept 5. So I booked for my family of 5. The woman at check in was very kind. Once we got to our room we saw there were only 2 queen beds and no pull out couch or anything. OK, I guess that's my fault (and maybe Expedia's), but also the woman at check in didn't say anything to us about the room really only sleeping 4. Luckily my kids are small so they can all share a bed. So onto the next 2 issues...I asked a man at the front desk for 2 extra pillows and they could only give me one because they were out. OK, fine, moving on. My husband then asked the same man later on for 2 more bath towels. He told my husband that we should have plenty in our room. My husband told him that there were only 3 in the room, and the man told him "well your room only sleeps 4 anyway and we are out of towels". But we only have 3 towels for a 4 person room! So now we have a family of 5 with 3 towels and not enough pillows and squished into beds. The elevator also was stuck, the lights in the bathroom were burnt out and the room itself was very dark. I definitely got what I paid for.

Honestly, this is a last resort. Don’t get me wrong, the rooms are kind of updated and somewhat clean, but the hotel as a whole needs a ton of work. Both the customer service and quality are a joke. When we arrived, we were told that we would have to make other accommodations unless our dogs went with us every time we left, kenneled or not. We travel for a living and have never encountered such a rule. Ashley’s reasoning for this rule was that some people have dogs that bark. 🙄 after threatening to refund our trip through the third party we booked, she and the manager bent the rules that seemed to only be for us. I say this because the day we checked out, some ankle biting yorkie was allowed out of the room by its owner, chasing my service animal and myself from the hotel. The same yapping dog that was constantly barking anytime the owners left. When brought to Ashley’s attention, I was told that she didn’t hear or see anything and that leash laws were a “county thing” The water pressure in the sink faucet in the bathroom was so strong, you’d get sprayed in the torso anytime you wash your hands. The room also had a dampness to it, feeling like the bed sheets weren’t dry when you laid down at night. Also had to sleep with our heads at the foot of the bed because there was a huge well/deep spot in the bed. They also price gouged for graduation and other events in town, compared to August of this same year where it’s half the price. If you want coffee or water from the refreshment station, you’ll have to fight the custodian for elbow room while she sprays chemicals near your beverage. (Every time I went for a drink she was cleaning this area. How bad could it be? Milking that clock I guess) our last day we stayed at candlewood suites next door. For a little more money, you get a huge jump in quality and service. Don’t was your time here unless you have no other option.

I have stayed here a few times and have always had a great experience. It’s been the same guy at the front desk each time. He is super friendly and always goes above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The rooms are always clean and it’s very quiet despite being so close to the airport. A great value, too. I would definitely recommend.
