Terrible Experience – False Name, Dirty Rooms, and Unhelpful Management I recently booked a reservation for M Star Hotel Alcoa, only to arrive and discover that the actual name of the hotel is USA Inn—a completely different name than advertised. This was the beginning of what turned into a nightmare stay. Upon arrival at 12:30 AM, I was checked into a room that was clearly under maintenance. The bed was broken, the sofa looked like it was picked up from a dumpster, and the overall cleanliness was unacceptable. The bathtub wouldn’t drain, making it unusable. I’ve attached photos that show just how poor the room’s condition was. When I raised these issues with the front desk manager, I was told I should have reported everything within 10 minutes of check-in. Expecting a guest to inspect a room, including the shower and tub, in the middle of the night is completely unreasonable and absurd. This was hands-down the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The property was misleading, unsanitary, and poorly managed. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone—it’s best to avoid it altogether.

For individuals and families seeking "Hotels Near Of Me" with a primary focus on convenience and affordability in the Alcoa, Tennessee area, USA Inn presents itself as a practical lodging option. Located at 2962 Alcoa Hwy, Alcoa, TN 37701, USA, this hotel is positioned to serve travelers looking for accessible accommodation, particularly those utilizing the nearby Knoxville McGhee Tyson Airport. Guests can contact USA Inn directly at (865) 251-2525 or +1 865-251-2525 for reservations and inquiries.

The environment surrounding USA Inn is primarily characterized by its location along Alcoa Highway, a major thoroughfare in Alcoa. This strategic positioning offers immediate access to various local businesses, fast-food establishments, and services. A significant environmental advantage for many travelers is its close proximity to the Knoxville McGhee Tyson Airport, making it a convenient choice for early morning flights or late-night arrivals. While not a scenic or secluded retreat, the hotel's setting provides easy connectivity to the broader Alcoa and Knoxville areas. Guests can find dining options within walking distance or a short drive, including well-known chains like Waffle House and Shoney's. The environment is more urban and functional, catering to those who prioritize quick access to transportation hubs and local amenities over natural tranquility. It is worth noting that some older reviews mention potential confusion regarding the hotel's name, as it may have been previously advertised under a different name. The property consists of 55 rooms spread across multiple buildings, typically with exterior corridors, common for this type of accommodation.

In terms of services, USA Inn provides core offerings designed to meet the basic needs of travelers. A 24-hour front desk is available to assist guests with check-in, check-out, and any immediate concerns, although some reviews suggest a varied experience with staff responsiveness and demeanor. Free wireless Internet access is provided throughout the property and in all guest rooms, allowing guests to stay connected. Free self-parking is also available on-site, a valuable amenity, especially for those traveling by car. While not a full-service hotel, USA Inn typically offers room service, although this may be limited to set meals served in guestrooms with no public dining area. Housekeeping services are generally provided upon request. The hotel also offers business amenities such as a business center and possibly fax, print, and copy services. Pets are allowed on request, though an additional charge per pet per day applies, making it a pet-friendly option for travelers with animals. The hotel also indicates compliance with ADA requirements, offering accessible parking and routes.

The features of USA Inn focus on providing essential comforts for a short or extended stay. Each of the 55 guestrooms is equipped with air conditioning, a private bathroom (with a bathtub or shower), complimentary toiletries, and a hairdryer upon request. In-room entertainment includes cable television. For convenience, rooms typically include a desk, a phone, and complimentary wireless internet access. Many rooms are also equipped with a microwave and a refrigerator, which are highly beneficial for guests planning longer stays or wishing to store food and beverages. Irons and ironing boards are often available upon request. However, it is important to address recurring feedback regarding the condition of some rooms. Reviews indicate that the property is an older establishment, and while some updates may have occurred, there have been consistent reports of cleanliness issues, worn furnishings, and maintenance concerns such as broken beds, unusable bathtubs, or the presence of pests. It's also been noted that some bathrooms may lack fans. Importantly, despite some promotional materials or icons online, recent reviews confirm that the outdoor pool is no longer operational, having been concreted in. While some sources might mention a fitness center, detailed information about its specific equipment or current status is not consistently available across all platforms, and the primary amenities are geared towards basic room functions rather than extensive recreational facilities.

Promotional information for USA Inn primarily revolves around its affordability and convenient location, especially for budget-conscious travelers or those needing proximity to the airport. Pricing for rooms typically varies by season and demand, but it is generally positioned as a lower-rate option compared to other hotels in the Alcoa area. Guests can often find competitive rates through various online travel agencies (OTAs) such as Kayak, Expedia, and Hotels.com. While the hotel may not offer elaborate packages or loyalty programs unique to independent properties, its inclusion on major booking platforms allows for price comparisons and potential deals. For instance, some platforms highlight that USA Inn's average rate is less than the Alcoa average for 3-star hotels, emphasizing its value proposition. Direct booking through the hotel's phone number might also offer certain rates, though these are not widely advertised as unique promotions. The absence of a pool is a significant point to note for guests who rely on this amenity, as outdated information might still be present on some third-party sites. The core promotion is the provision of basic, functional accommodation at a competitive price point in a strategic location near the airport and major highways. Guests are advised to check recent reviews and directly confirm specific room conditions or desired amenities, as the experience can vary.

In conclusion, USA Inn, within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category, serves as a budget-friendly and conveniently located option for travelers in Alcoa, TN. Its primary advantages are its close proximity to the Knoxville McGhee Tyson Airport and easy access to Alcoa Highway, making it suitable for quick stops or those seeking affordable lodging. While it offers essential services like a 24-hour front desk, free WiFi, and pet-friendly rooms, potential guests should be aware of varying experiences regarding cleanliness and room maintenance, as indicated by customer reviews. For a no-frills stay focused on location and value, USA Inn is a consideration, but managing expectations regarding the overall property condition and amenities (such as the non-existent pool) is crucial.

My stay here started out rough but the staff has since proven dedicated to fixing every issue I've had so far as best they can. I can admit being stressed and having attitude with them too and they handled it very respectfully. While this hotel may not be the best in the world, for the price you can't beat what you get in terms of staff and comfort

I spent a decent chunk on staying here for the week. It seemed affordable and well kept online, but as soon as my fiance and I walked in I realized that my online impression was very misleading. There are roaches everywhere, the refrigerator has a leak and has stained the floor, there are exposed outlets everywhere. I didn’t realize until the fourth day of no knock that they leave a little sign on the front desk that says you have to ask for room service or you don’t get it, and when I did I explained I wanted the microwave that wasn’t in my room when I arrived and I that I didn’t want room service only wanted to switch out laundry so I could have clean towels and wash clothes to shower with and clean sheets to put on the bed. But was refused this service and forced to either accept fool room service or get none at all. I will not be back to this motel. I almost don’t want to finish out this week I paid for and haven’t decided yet if I’m just going to pack my stuff up and leave. This place is terrible, and I would never suggest you bring your loved ones to this terrible excuse of a dwelling space. Spend your money somewhere else.

We stayed here for one night they have the worst services and rooms ever. They don’t have sockets for charging the phones, used soap in restroom, stains on the sofa, the bed is having loose fittings even if we move an inch its giving a huge noise,we check in 7pm in the evening and the check out time ki 10am we request for at 2hr for late check out time but the guy at the reception is mean on us saying all we have is 30min late check out.At any cost I don’t recommend this motel to anyone even if it’s near to the airport, you can find some good motel little bit away from the airport with same budget The guy who is in the reception area is mean But the other lady is nice

If I could leave a review with no stars I would, this is beyond the definition of roach motel. The price is great, and I had traveled into town to visit family recently and had to stay at a budget friendly hotel as family had no room with others already having traveled and were staying with family. The front desk attendant was extremely rude which is an understatement, wouldn’t hire her to even work as a cashier at McDonald’s, the room was filthy and when asked to change to a different room, I was told that because I have a service animal and there were no more “animal” rooms available that just wasn’t possible, which mind you is a violation of federal ADA Law, I was told that if I didn’t like my accommodations she could just cancel my stay with no refund because it is last minute and that I could go elsewhere. I had no choice but to stay, but stopped by other local hotels that were more pricey but budget friendly to research and I will be staying somewhere else next time. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND DON’T CARE ABOUT BREAKING FEDERAL LAW!! I have reported them to the state and will be continuing to Pursue legal action because of how I was treated. This is the absolute worse experience I have ever had in my 25+ years of traveling and staying at hotels/budget friendly inns. Definitely STAY AWAY from this place, unless you want to stay somewhere that states to give you a clean room but yet has dead cockroaches in the bathtub when you check in and refuses to do anything about it
