I have been coming to Darien Lake for over 20 years. The trailers are perfect for a small family. The beds are a little uncomfortable but it’s a trailer so it’s to be expected. We bring a mattress topper with us and that helps. Location is great and a 5 minute walk to the park. My only negative is they have recently stopped offering park passes with your camping. Previously the passes were included with the fee you pay to camp. Now you have to buy them separately.

Lodge on the Lake, located at 9997 Alleghany Rd, Corfu, NY 14036, USA, stands out as a prime choice for travelers seeking lodging near the thrilling Six Flags Darien Lake. As a destination frequently searched under "Hotels Near Of Me," this establishment caters directly to guests looking for convenience and entertainment in the immediate vicinity of popular attractions. Its strategic location and a host of amenities make it a compelling option for families, concert-goers, and anyone visiting the Western New York area. You can reach them at (585) 599-2211 or +1 585-599-2211.

Environment and Location:

The Lodge on the Lake is situated in Corfu, New York, a short walk from Six Flags Darien Lake Amusement Park. This proximity is a significant draw, allowing guests to easily access the theme park, water park, and the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center without the need for extensive travel. The hotel itself offers a woodsy, lakeside lodge aesthetic, aiming to provide a tranquil atmosphere despite its closeness to a bustling entertainment complex. While some guests have noted the functional nature of the trailers and rooms, the primary benefit highlighted is the unbeatable location for park access. The surrounding area offers a mix of natural beauty and recreational opportunities, with Darien Lakes State Park also being a short drive away, offering hiking, fishing, and camping options.

Services and Amenities:

Lodge on the Lake provides a range of services designed to enhance a guest's stay. Key amenities include a seasonal outdoor pool, complete with a waterslide, offering a refreshing escape during warmer months. Poolside cabanas are available, though they come with a surcharge. For entertainment beyond the park, the hotel features an arcade/game room, providing a fun space for both children and adults. There's also a coffee shop/cafe on-site, "Woody's Cafe," where guests can grab a quick breakfast pastry or sandwich. In the lobby, a fireplace creates a cozy ambiance, inviting guests to relax.

Practical services include a 24-hour front desk, ensuring assistance is always available. Free self-parking is a convenient perk for those traveling by car. For connectivity, complimentary Wi-Fi is available in public areas and in all rooms. While some past amenities like included park passes have changed, the hotel still offers a variety of room types, including standard rooms with two queen beds and "Forts-O-Fun Kids Suites," which feature bunk beds and play spaces. Rooms typically include a mini-fridge, coffee/tea maker, flat-screen TV with cable channels, and a private bathroom with complimentary toiletries and a hairdryer. Housekeeping is provided upon request.

It's important to note that while the hotel is within walking distance of the park, park admission is now typically purchased separately. Past reviews mention a shared microwave in the hallway, which can be inconvenient, especially for families with young children. The complimentary breakfast buffet, while advertised as "free," appears to be factored into a $50 daily amenity fee, according to some guest experiences. Despite some staff potentially struggling with English, they are consistently described as incredibly friendly and nice, contributing positively to the guest experience.

Features and Unique Selling Points:

The standout feature of Lodge on the Lake is its unparalleled proximity to Six Flags Darien Lake. This allows guests to walk directly to the park for entry and exit, a significant advantage for those attending concerts or spending full days at the amusement and water parks. The family-friendly nature of the hotel is also a strong selling point, with amenities like the water park (surcharge), arcade/game room, and "Forts-O-Fun Kids Suites" catering specifically to families with children. The rustic "Woodsy Lounge" in the lobby, complete with a fireplace, board games, and large TVs, provides a welcoming common area for guests to unwind. Picnic areas and barbecue grills are also available for guests to enjoy outdoor meals.

Promotional Information and Guest Considerations:

For those considering a stay at Lodge on the Lake, it's vital to factor in the overall cost. While the convenience is highly valued, some guests have noted that the pricing can be quite high, especially when combining room costs with park admissions and concert tickets. One reviewer mentioned a total expenditure of approximately $4,000 for a 5-day stay for a family of three, encompassing the room, park, and a concert. It's advisable for prospective guests to carefully consider their budget and inquire about all potential fees, including the daily amenity charge that seems to cover the "free" breakfast and other services.

For guests seeking a more comfortable sleeping arrangement than typical trailer beds, bringing a mattress topper is a recommended tip from returning visitors who stay in the trailer accommodations offered by the Darien Lake property, which can be associated with the Lodge. While the provided information focuses on the hotel rooms, it's worth noting the broader lodging options available through Darien Lake, including trailer rentals and campsites, which some guests might mistakenly associate with "Lodge on the Lake" due to shared property management and proximity.

In conclusion, Lodge on the Lake provides a functional and conveniently located base for exploring Six Flags Darien Lake and the surrounding attractions. Its family-friendly amenities, such as the outdoor pool and arcade, coupled with its direct access to the theme park, make it a popular choice. While guests should be mindful of the pricing structure and some shared facilities, the overall consensus points to a friendly staff and a prime location for an amusement park getaway.

Room was absolutely disgusting, outdated. Have to share a Microwave that’s in the hallway which isn’t fun when youre trying to warm up a bottle for the little one and a whole family is having hot pockets for dinner. Short walk to the campground if you have family staying there and also short walk to the park. If attending a concert you’re able to walk through the park for entry and exit, Keep in mind you are strictly paying for convenience, Rooms include “free” breakfast buffet, $50 is added per day for this for all the other amenities, staff are incredibly friendly although some staff struggle with their English but are incredibly nice. Super expensive for what this is. We stayed 5 days and spent roughly $4,000 for a family of 3 between the room, the park, and the concert, we went all out and clearly you don’t have to spend that much or you could very easily spend a whole lot more

This wouldn’t be my first choice to stay somewhere while visiting six flags. Decor and rooms are weird and dated, they have the place locked down like Fort Knox for coming and going. Staff were super nice and friendly though, very accommodating. They offer a free breakfast for guests, but you have to walk all the way to the park across from the boomerang to get the breakfast buffet. If you’re looking for a stress free way to go to a concert at the park, this is the way to do it. No stress with traffic and parking, you get to walk through the park to enter the performing arts center, and you also get entry to the park the day of the concert, included in your concert ticket and hotel stay. They have a little cafe inside the lodge that is great for convenience, but absolutely awful food. The pizza was bad and so was the baked chicken bites.

Was pleasantly surprised with our room. Stayed for one night while they were closed; they had a deal on for a concert I was attending. The wall to the concert was about 15 mins to the Darien amphitheater. A bit pricey for what it was but very convenient. Bed was clean and comfy, room was exactly what we needed. Would stay again! Wish the pool was open tho :)

I want to start off by saying that for the price I paid for the room for two nights, we could have stayed somewhere better for half of the price. Now to begin, the stay did not include Darian lake park tickets, which is a joke for how much the room was :) further more staying with the hotel, there was a snake in the hallway that the staff on the first floor knew about and did nothing to resolve it because the snake was still in that same hallway a few hours later when we returned from the park (which was 30 dollars each since paying 371 a night wasn’t enough I guess). Now to get to the “breakfast”. Not only did you have to walk a half a mile to get to the breakfast cafe, but the breakfast buffet was a nightmare in itself. It started fine with a nice variety of foods, but it went downhill when I got orange juice from the fountain soda machine and a chunk of mold the size of a chickpea fell into my cup. When I brought this to the managers attention she did not seem too concerned and she did not shut down the machine for cleaning. My mother then grabbed milk, only for it to be expired and sour tasting, again the manager did not seem to care. Finally, the yogurt that was being served expired on June 15th, and it was June 22nd…. And again, manager did not remove them immediately upon my family telling her. Overall, the concert was amazing, but I would recommend staying anywhere else because the lodge on the lake is not worth it.
