My boyfriend and I stayed 2 nights at the Longfellow Hotel and had such a great experience. The hotel is so charming, and VERY clean. I am very big on cleanliness and the Longfellow was top tier. It's in the perfect location and walking distance to so many great restaurants, bars, and shopping. The staff is GREAT! The car service around the Old Port that the Longfellow provides not only is free, but it's a luxury brand new BMW. We did not use any of the amenities but I did peak into all of the rooms (gym, spa, conference room) and they all seemed very clean and inviting. We will definitely be staying here again!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Longfellow! From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming, and incredibly helpful. The room was beautiful and comfortable, and had all the little things I forgot to pack. The location was perfect—close to everything yet quiet enough for a great night’s sleep. I very much enjoyed the cafe in the mornings, their barista was excellent! I’ll definitely be staying here again on my next visit in Portland.Highly recommend!

To be fair, I should have done more research before booking this hotel, but I was shocked to find the price of parking here upon arriving. $45/day and the valet guy was never around, making it impossible to park or retrieve the car. The rooms are expensive, so paid parking beyond the initial price is insane. The rooms were nice, but far too expensive. I have been in nicer hotels for cheaper, and in more exciting places than Portland. Why isn't free breakfast included when it is so expensive? Location is okay. Right next to one of the best bakeries, Tandem Coffee and Bakery. Within walking distance to Old Port. I would prefer to stay closer to Old Port, though. It was tough to get the water to a good temperature that wasn't freezing cold or burning hot.

We have stayed in Portland numerous times but this was our first stay at the Longfellow. We found the staff to be extremely friendly throughout our 3 night stay . The front lobby area was a nice ,cozy spot for an afternoon drink and for morning coffee. The gym was great. It was small and quiet and had everything we needed . They offer great sis services and we both enjoyed our massages . Since we’re familiar with the area it was easier for us to leave our car in valet and Uber to the old port. It’s certainly walkable in warmer weather though. If I would make one suggestion it would be to supply luggage carts however , it certainly wasn’t a deal breaker . We will definitely stay at the Longfellow again .

The Longfellow is a perfect balance of Portland charm and boutique hotel. The lobby & bar are so inviting and the drinks (Maize Runner!) were delish. Staff was friendly and prompt. In-room dining for breakfast was also great. The promise of a good night's sleep in a busy city is a big goal, and yet in all the ways Longfellow could enhance the sleep space - they did. Dark out shades, bedtime tea, no bright indicator lights on electronics, a sound machine, and a bed that was so cozy and inviting. I only regret I didn't have enough time for the spa, so I will have to come back! I will be recommending Longfellow to friends who also love Portland!
