M Social Hotel New York Times Square

Location. Location. Location. Oh and the views from the restaurant and the open patio dining areas is bar none. Gorgeous lobby—multi-function, cozy and artful ambiance. Staff are really friendly especially event coordinators Glorymar and Beata who went above and beyond to support our impromptu need for space for broadcast recording. Beautiful Karaoke studio with Back to the Future theme! Rooms are smaller than usual but that’s expected with the prime real estate area. Walking distance to Times Square and anything a traveler will need.

Although the rooms are a little smaller, they are clean, well kept, and nice walk in shower in bathroom. The 2 double beds did help to make the room feel more spacious and include a mini fridge too. We had a great view on 26th floor of Times Square. Nice bar below with walk out terrace. Very nice staff. Recommend parking garage 1 block to the east for best rates and get your ticket stamped at hotel for discount.

This was the WORST hotel experience I have ever had. So expensive. my favorite part was that they snuck a $500 “smoking fee” because our fire alarm went off when I was blow drying my hair. The security guards busted in our room and opened a window on the 23rd floor. We paid for a $100 pet fee and had a cat in the room- and she almost jumped 23 floors onto Broadway. Our one night stay was over $1000. There’s other strange charges on the bill, too. (Charitable donations w/o consent?) No amenities. No breakfast, nothing whatsoever. Our phone was broken. Couldn’t get parking across street but they charged for it anyway. Got a traffic ticket just trying to load the car super quickly- ticket blew away because it was raining. there were 3 HUGE tour buses blocking any spot nearby. They disabled our room Keys an hour before we paid for (4:00) so locked out of room an hour early. Had to park 20 minutes away and uber there. This was all for a simple one-day work-related visit, and I’m so upset and traumatized I can hardly stand it. We have been trying to call and dispute but haven’t heard back for hours. Be careful non-smokers because they could get you too if they feel like it. Terrible terrible terrible place.

For the location, rate and service, I couldn't think of a better place to stay. The rooms were spotless, beds soft and comfortable, the lobby was a vibe in itself and a fun place to hangout. The staff were incredibly friendly. I will be hoping to stay here again in the near future.

I booked this hotel months ago and before our trip read reviews and it made me nervous, all that to say though. We had a great experience, check in and out was easy, our rooms were clean, rooms are smaller but that’s to be expected. For 4 people it was 100% okay though! It is easy walking distance to Times Square and lots of good restaurants. Would for sure stay here again!
