Romer Hell's Kitchen, neighborhood hotel

This hotel is perfect. Rooms are so roomy. We had 4 adults with luggage so needed a decent size room. This room was amazing. 2 queen beds and lots of floor space. Location is nearby to everything- 5-10 min walk to time square or theater district and down street from St Patrick’s Cathedral and all those things. Will definitely be staying here again. Quite area and safe and the hotel staff is so friendly.

Stayed here for 8 nights with my husband for our first trip in New York. The hotel location is perfect with less than 5 minutes from the subway and 10 minutes walk from Time Square. We stayed in the corner king size room with a view over the street. The room was perfect with plenty of space, a table with a couch, a large bed and a wardrobe. However the bathroom was quite small and needed more space. In general we were very pleased with our stay because the hotel was modern, safe and cozy. Our room was clean, spacious with a nice view. But some things could be improved like the water pressure, some shelves in the shower, the housekeeping because some things were left out, the amenities in the room like a kettle with cups and coffee/tea, the isolation because we can hear the noise of other rooms and the street, being able to let your luggage for free after checkout Overall we were satisfied with our stay and see ourselves coming again in the future.

Hotel is a bit more run down than the photos suggest. One of the hooks in our room was barely in the wall and came down with a single coat hanging on it. The hotel charges a “resort fee” which is fine…if you have any resort amenities. This place has none. They don’t even replace the bottled water in the room… you get one per stay, as we were reminded at the front desk when we requested more. Oh and this is one of the first hotels I’ve stayed at anywhere in the world that doesn’t give you even the cheapest form of in-room coffee. As for cleanliness, hairs are expected but I counted no less than 5-6 long black ones on the shower walls. For the positives… their bath amenities are good and smell amazing. Not the worst hotel in Manhattan but definitely not the best.

The experience at Romer Hell's Kitchen was great! The entire staff was very welcoming and helpful. We have never stayed in NYC, so having someone help us with check-in as well as how to navigate the city was very helpful! We arrived early and were able to leave our bags and vehicle at the hotel and go exploring while we waited for our room to be ready! When we got back, we were able to get into our room earlier than the 4pm check in, which made our stay even better! The Hotel was very clean, well kept and modern. We really enjoyed having a night cap at the speakeasy bar hidden away behind the coffee shop! We will definitely stay here again soon! 10/10!!

Great location near theater district/Times Square for a weekend with friends. A friend of mine and I booked a 2 queen bed room, which we found spacious enough for the both of us without feeling cramped. The room was close to the elevator and a little ice machine (which is my preference), and super clean. The bathroom is small, but does the job just fine. Water pressure wasn't the best, but I always appreciate when there is no water pooling in the tub when you take a shower. Front desk and front bellmen were friendly and attentive. The lobby was great with plenty of comfortable seating. From here, it was an easy 5-7 minute walk to the theater near Times Square.
