The Time New York

The Time New York is a really cool hotel in a super convenient location. It's right in the middle of all the Times Square action, but the rooms are so well soundproof, you'd never know it. The rooms themselves have a really stylish vibe – I love the colors they used on the walls. And the hidden TV behind the mirror is such a neat touch. The gym's pretty solid too. Plus, the staff is super friendly and helpful, and they know the city really well. They gave me some great tips for things to do and see. I also really liked The Dirt Bar inside the hotel – it had a cool vibe and the drinks were amazing. They have a great selection and their cocktails are perfectly crafted. I highly recommend grabbing a drink there during your stay. Overall, it's a great place to stay.

As a loyal Hyatt member who stays almost exclusively at their properties, I’m genuinely disappointed to write this. I’ve always appreciated Hyatt’s consistency and quality, especially as someone who knows NYC well and needed a reliable stay in this neighborhood. Unfortunately, this hotel fell far below expectations—for several reasons: • The room was shabby and poorly maintained • The bathroom was so dark it was nearly impossible to shave or get ready • There was no television, and several light fixtures were literally falling out of the wall • The wall-unit A/C was incredibly loud, making it hard to sleep • No in-room coffee or basic amenities—not asking for much here • The view was directly into a neighboring apartment building, offering zero privacy • Overall service was mediocre, from the front desk to the front door In a city with endless hotel options at this price point, this property is nowhere near Hyatt standards. In fact, Hyatt Place hotels in NYC are more affordable, better maintained, and even include breakfast.

The staffs are really nice, the first room we got was not great and we asked to get a new room, they did a fantastic job and got my wife and i really satisfied. The king room is nice and beautiful, great view and spacious. i recommend this hotel to everyone. Great customer service 10/10!

I had a great experience! The room was clean with a view not looking directly into another building. I was able to check in early with no issue when I messaged the hotel earlier than morning. Was given 2 vouchers for breakfast which was a nice surprise by Michael. Happy hour from 5-6 was lovely as well. Overall would stay again for the proximity to time square and how well I was treated.

This hotel was in a wonderful location, walkable to almost every manhattan attraction! But let’s talk about the service here. Every single employee we interacted with was the nicest and most attentive person ever and that made the experience super enjoyable. Emilio from the lobby was particularly delightful and contributed to our amazing experience. The complimentary happy hour is a wonderful addition as well. I would stay here again just because of the service. Great overall experience!!
