Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan, an IHG Hotel

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Times Square (now Hyatt Regency Times Square) primarily for its location, which is undoubtedly its best feature. Situated right in the heart of Times Square, it offers easy access to Broadway theaters, major attractions, and a vibrant city atmosphere. However, my experience was not entirely satisfactory. The hotel is quite costly, and for the price, I expected better cleanliness and upkeep. Unfortunately, it did not meet those expectations. While the rooms were decent in size, the overall hygiene and maintenance could have been much better. If location is your top priority and you're willing to compromise on cleanliness and value for money, this hotel might still be an option. However, for the price, there are likely better alternatives in the area. Rating: 3/5.

This is one of the best hotel I happened to stay with, but the real issue is that their check in process is too complicated, I literally needed to wait in line for more than a hour.. After a long drive from Virginia it was quite difficult, I requested my wife to stay in line and use the toilet but they have strict restriction that you need to have the room key( which I can get only after the registration). I had a very terrible experience with check in but after that everything went smooth. But still I will think twice to book this hotel because of that terrible check in process.. Thank you

We booked this hotel months out from our trip. As our trip grew closer, I started seeing bad reviews. It worried me a little bit what we were walking into. I was pleasantly surprised that very few of the reviews were relevant to our stay! The front desk service was very friendly and joking with me when we checked in. He was even courteous enough to check if our kids would be comfortable staying on the 41st floor or if we preferred a lower floor. Our room was bigger than we expected for a NYC hotel room. The view of the city was perfect for our trip. We had a sliver of a view of Times Square, but it was great. The city and the view of the Hudson at night is so beautiful. There were elements of the room that were dated and not as clean as I would have preferred, but that did not take away from our comfort levels. Some picture frames were chipped, some dust on the walls, small things that I noticed. We added the breakfast vouchers to our stay, and it was great. There will most likely be a line at anytime you go down, but it moves relatively quick. The pastries were good, and my husband enjoyed the hot breakfast sandwiches. The coffee was probably the only thing we didn't care for. Overall, for the location it was a great choice for our family. If we ever stay in NYC again, we will definitely look into staying here again!

Excellent Location and Great Stay! I stayed at this hotel with my family during the NYC Marathon, and it was a fantastic experience. The location was absolutely perfect—close to everything we needed and made getting around the city very convenient. The room was well-organized, spacious, and impeccably clean, providing a comfortable retreat after busy days. The staff was friendly and attentive, adding to the positive experience. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting NYC, whether for the marathon or leisure. Would definitely stay here again!

The location is perfect, at the center of Times Square. Never had a problem about elevators. Internet does the job for general use, no complaints. Room service was good but once they didn't leave a floor towel for the bath, once they didn't leave any shampoo, shower gel etc. When we ask for it they bring but they shouldn't be stingy about these things. Especially in the mornings the water is cold. So if you love a hot shower you need to take it in the evening or at night. This is the main point for me why it's not a 5 star experience. In America most(maybe all) hotels don't provide slippers or complimentary water but they shall do like the rest of the world. Price is high but thinking of NY standards it's acceptable. We added one more day to our trip because of flight availability. That extension booking was a standard room but as they have availability they upgraded that day for us so we didn't have to carry our belongings to the other room next day. Thanks for that, I forgot to ask the name of the receptionist but he was very helpful. Overall very satisfying experience. Hope they install a bigger capacity water tank for hot water.
