New York Marriott Downtown

Family of 4. Rooms were nice sized and very clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. Location was great and within walking distance to all the sights we wanted to see. Would stay here again!

Rooms are decent but the service here is absolutely horrendous. Not that the employees are rude or anything, but literally everything is either not possible or at a surcharge, which I haven’t experienced elsewhere. Get or send a package? $10 each. Borrow scissors? Not allowed. Want to store bags overnight? Not possible. Honestly had never encountered hotels not storing luggage for you and this almost made me miss my flight so be aware…

Staying here with my significant other celebrating an anniversary was a dream. When checking in to our room, the senior front desk manager Melvin insured us with a memorable stay and beautiful room with amazing views of the city. With this hotel's location, you can go anywhere. Housekeeping was instant at any request. The overnight manager, Gordon, was also incredibly helpful. What an amazing weekend we spent, thanks to them and others that I didn't get their name like the bellman. Beautiful gym for a hotel. To the staff and the building itself, I can't wait to come back and do it all over again! Much love and respect.

This was a gift from our kids for the weekend 2/21/25 -2/23/25. I have been to NYC before, but was my husband's 1st visit. Within an hour of arriving at the hotel, my husband realized that he had lost his phone in the taxi. The 2 women at the front desk (late morning/ afternoon shift for that Friday) took him through steps to get it back which he followed. Within the hour, he got the phone back. Specifically, those 2 women (they did write their names down, but, unfortunately, can't find their names) knew their jobs, very kind, professional, and both are assets. Shout out to every doorman during our visit, too! All were kind, professional, and accomodating. They went above & beyond! The location of the hotel is wonderful! I am sure downtown is more crowded during the work week, but the weekend crowds were manageable. The hotel itself is clean & beautiful. The views were wonderful from the 26th floor! Thank you! Enjoyed my stay here, room was clean and housekeeping was attentive. Elevators were quick for such a big building and food was decent. The daily credits that are part of the resort fee are useful. However, be sure to double check your checkout receipt. I luckily kept my receipts from the week (we only ate at the restaurant once per day, so it was easy to tell when the $30 daily credit wasn't applied to the final receipt). Staff were confident the credits were applied automatically and properly when I was first checking out. After checking the receipts and coming back downstairs to show them the missing credits (~$75 worth missing) The staff member fixed it promptly afterwards, but I would hope folks remember even systems are not error free.
