4.0

We recently stayed at the One11 Hotel and wanted to begin by acknowledging the positives. The property itself is visually stunning—clearly the product of a thoughtful and ambitious vision. The check-in process was seamless, the hotel was clean, and both the front desk and bar staff were exceptionally welcoming and professional. The location is also prime, making it a convenient spot for exploring the area. However, our experience was significantly impacted by the room’s air conditioning. We completely understand that, given the age of the building, central air may not have been feasible. That said, the AC unit in our room was not adequate for the space. The room remained uncomfortably warm and stuffy, especially with outdoor temperatures in the 90s. At one point, the thermostat was set to 69°F, yet the room remained at 75°F. Maintenance confirmed that the unit was functioning as intended and that this was the maximum output. An industrial fan was brought up as a solution, but it was noisy and offered minimal relief. Unfortunately, due to the lack of effective climate control, we checked out earlier than planned and will not be returning. While the aesthetics and service were impressive, comfort is a priority for us—particularly during the hotter months

Let's explore what makes ONE11 Hotel a standout option for those of us who appreciate quality and convenience in the Crescent City.

Introduction / Overview

ONE11 Hotel is a relatively new and exciting addition to the New Orleans hotel scene, thoughtfully built within a beautifully restored 19th-century sugar warehouse. This heritage gives the hotel a unique character, blending industrial elements like exposed brick walls, bold iron beams, and cypress wood pillars with sleek, contemporary furnishings. The result is a visually stunning property that feels both rooted in history and thoroughly modern.

Guests consistently praise ONE11 Hotel for its immaculate cleanliness, both inside the rooms and throughout the common areas. From the moment you step in, the check-in process is seamless, and the staff—from the front desk to the bar—are known for being exceptionally welcoming, professional, and helpful. This commitment to service, combined with the hotel's striking aesthetics, creates an inviting and pleasant atmosphere. While some guests have noted challenges with the air conditioning in rooms, especially during New Orleans' hot summer months, the overall consensus highlights the hotel's dedication to providing a high-quality lodging experience that is secure, clean, and reasonably priced for its prime French Quarter location. It's a sophisticated urban retreat that promises a memorable stay.

Location and Accessibility

ONE11 Hotel boasts an enviable address at 111 Iberville St, New Orleans, LA 70130, USA. This places it directly within the historic French Quarter, specifically in an area that borders the Warehouse District. This prime location means you're incredibly close to some of New Orleans' most celebrated attractions, offering the best of both worlds: the vibrant history of the Quarter and the modern appeal of nearby areas.

From the hotel, you're just steps away from the Mississippi Riverfront, Woldenberg Park (a popular spot for festivals and strolls), and the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas. The bustling heart of the French Quarter, including Jackson Square, Bourbon Street, and Canal Street, is within easy walking distance. This makes it incredibly convenient to explore the city's best shopping, dining, nightlife, and cultural sites on foot. For those looking to venture further, Canal Street offers access to the city's iconic streetcar lines, which can transport you to other unique neighborhoods like the Garden District or Uptown.

Regarding accessibility, ONE11 Hotel is designed to be wheelchair-friendly with features like a stair-free path to the entrance, an elevator with wide doors (78 inches), and accessible registration desk (34 inches high). They offer ADA-approved rooms, including an Accessible King room with a roll-in shower or accessible tub. The pool is also wheelchair-accessible with a pool hoist on site, and visual fire alarms are available. These thoughtful considerations ensure that all guests can comfortably navigate and enjoy the hotel's facilities. For late-night check-ins when the main door might be locked, guests are advised that the staff will be available at the front desk to assist, as one reviewer noted.

Excellent excellent experience from the staff, location, cleanliness, and room size!! I’m very particular about where we lodge, and this hotel was spotless inside the rooms and out. No worry about bugs, stains, dirt or severe wear in the rooms. Highly recommend for secure, clean, and reasonable priced hotel in the french quarter. Shout out to the front desk! One small thing is to ensure there is a way for new guests to check in late at night when the door is locked. Luckily my uber driver was able to go to the other side of the building and see someone, otherwise, not sure if i could check in.

Very cute hotel. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. On the plus side, the location is walking distance to The French Quarter and Bourbon Street. The staff is friendly and helpful. Security is excellent, as only key cards can access the floors with rooms. Taking a star off is the very thin blankets and super squishy pillows, as well as frequent loud horn blasts, coming from both the steam boats and nearby train. They offer a free breakfast which includes coffee, juice, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, waffles, cereal, and pastry's and bread. There is a small courtyard with a equally small pool.

A great new hotel with a great location. Far enough from the quarter to not hear the noise, but an easy walk to countless restaurants. You will hear the train and ships on the river, but to me that is a good sounds. The breakfast could be better, but it is fine. The bartenders are great.

This is a really nice, small and historic hotel in the middle of everything. The French Quarter and Canal Street are a stone's throw, while CBD and Marigny are an easy cab ride away. The hotel itself is in an old sugar refinery which has been beautifully converted into the historic lodging. There are eight floors. The building is old, but the renovation is all sleek and modern. We were immediately impressed with how comfortable and clean our room was. We loved the original windows and exposed walls and other structural elements which gave the place an authentic feel. There's an on-site restaurant and a really nice pool and top-level lounge. If you're looking to stay in this area, you'll be hard pressed to find a better value. One thing. There are trains that pass in all times of the night with their loud horns. Be prepared for that. Parking is in the surrounding surface lots and is ENORMOUSLY expensive.
