I had an extremely pleasant stay. The best part of my stay was being greeted by Kayla at the front desk every afternoon/evening. She was so sweet and personable. When I walked into my room, it smelled fresh and clean and it was stocked with plenty of towels. I also liked the location of the hotel because it was far enough to have a peaceful night sleep. I would definitely stay there again. I love a boutique hotel and La Galerie lived up to what I'm accustomed to.

Jun 13, 2025 · Tamiko BealsThis hotel was a wonderful decision! I like to walk, explore, dine, drink, people watch, immerse myself into a culture (every city has its own vibe-culture) and this was just a great location for that. I walked everywhere in the area, from Canal, to Bourbon St, and all the side streets and places in between. And at all hours of the night, up to 2, 3, and 4 in the morning. I’m a guy and travel alone, I did not feel uneasy or unsafe anywhere. But I also know to mind by business and stay in my lane. New Orleans is like anywhere else, if you go looking for trouble, sure you will find it, but if you’re minding your business and enjoying a late night walk, no one bothers you. The restaurants, bars and shopping all walking distance to the hotel is amazing. I’d be out of the hotel by 10 am and would come back to get changed for dinner and then go right back out and stay out until late. All on foot! Some of the best nights sleep I’ve ever had were right here. So peaceful, and bedding is just phenomenal. They have an awesome staff here that will take care of and help with anything you need. They are extremely helpful, house keeping is on top of it as well, coming back in at dinner to change and having my shower and bedding all redone and ready to go was super nice. This hotel can accommodate all ages but if your an active and on the go type person, you can’t beat this location. I will definitely stay here again!
Jun 14, 2025 · Shawn DoyleThe hotel has a lot of character, and is clean and welcoming. It’s obvious the building is old though and certain fittings/features are worn and outdated. There is no coffee/tea in the rooms (you have to go to the lobby), but the room was very comfortable. Towels were a little worn and had holes in, but the bathroom was clean and modern. Hotel staff weren’t readily available which was frustrating when I had questions. Amazing location though and excellent value for money!
Jun 12, 2025 · Rebecca ValentinoA great hotel. Big room, bright and cozy. Went to celebrate our 15year wedding anniversary. Location is exceptional. A great Greek restaurant (Athenian) close to the hotel where we ate twice during our stay. We didn’t hear anything from other rooms. Elevator was quick. Staff was friendly.
Jun 07, 2025 · GEO Marketing ConsultantThe hotel like other buildings is old so understandly there are issues that exists and can’t be changed like having just one elevator. But the overall experience like staff friendliness, cleanliness, good-smelling hallways, quiet rooms, being walkable to attractions, have made the stay worthwhile. They are pet-friendly and don’t charge exaggerated fees like other hotels! You have to walk one block away to the parking which in our experience, never had any issues of safety.
