Location was perfect. Room smelled "ultra" clean upon arrival. We arrived early and the cleaning ladies were wonderfully helpful allowing us to store our bags and assist with parking the car. Self serve breakfast was extremely well stocked and fresh. Our dog was welcomed not just at the PA guest house but practically everywhere which was a great bonus. It was strange to never have met the owners, however we did only stay one night. We will absolutely stay again and for more days next time. Great trip, can't wait to do it again! Prince Albert Guest House Introduce

For those searching the "Hotels Near Of Me" category in Provincetown, Massachusetts, the Prince Albert Guest House stands out as a highly acclaimed and distinctive choice. Situated at 164 Commercial St, Provincetown, MA 02657, USA, this historic 4-star bed and breakfast offers a blend of classic charm, modern comforts, and an exceptional location that consistently earns rave reviews from its guests. Operating from a beautifully renovated building originally constructed in 1856, the guest house retains its rich heritage as a former Sea Captain's Home, while providing all the amenities expected by today's discerning traveler.

The environment of the Prince Albert Guest House is one of its strongest assets. Its location on Commercial Street places guests right in the vibrant heart of Provincetown's fashionable West End, ensuring immediate access to a plethora of attractions. Guests can enjoy "people watching" from the front patio overlooking Commercial Street or find quiet respite in the back garden and patio area. This central yet serene setting allows for easy walking access to the town's renowned restaurants, bustling art galleries, diverse nightlife, and unique shops. The guest house is just a short stroll from the beach, and the Pilgrim Monument is also within easy reach, approximately 0.7 km away. The property's gardens and common areas are meticulously maintained, contributing to an overall sense of cleanliness and tranquility. While some rooms offer city or garden views, others boast charming inner courtyard views, and select junior suites even provide delightful ocean or sea views, allowing guests to wake up to the picturesque coastal scenery.

The services at Prince Albert Guest House are designed for convenience, comfort, and a personalized experience. A key highlight, consistently praised by guests, is the "self-serve breakfast" which is described as "extremely well stocked and fresh." This allows guests the flexibility to enjoy a generous continental or buffet-style breakfast at their own pace. The owners, Paul and Andy, are actively involved in ensuring guest satisfaction, with Paul often serving as the main point of contact, known for his pleasant demeanor and helpfulness. While a traditional front desk might not be staffed 24/7, guests receive detailed check-in instructions and key retrieval information via email 24 hours prior to arrival, ensuring a smooth and independent check-in process from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Luggage storage is available, a convenient service particularly for early arrivals or late departures. The cleaning staff are frequently commended for their helpfulness and for maintaining immaculate rooms, ensuring a "sparkling clean" environment. Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, and private parking is offered, though it's advised to check current seasonal rates as they can vary (e.g., $15-$25 per night depending on the season). A standout service, especially for exploring Provincetown, is the availability of electric bike rentals directly from the guest house, often at a more competitive price than local bike stores. These Class 3 electric bikes offer a remarkable 90-mile operating distance, perfect for exploring the scenic bike trails and the Cape Cod National Seashore. The guest house is also notably pet-friendly, welcoming well-behaved dogs in designated rooms (Rooms 1, 4, 5, 7, 8, and the Lower Level room) for an additional fee of $35 per pet per day. Food and water bowls are available for four-legged guests, making it a truly welcoming place for furry companions.

The features of the Prince Albert Guest House emphasize comfort and a luxurious feel. The eight modern rooms, some renovated and individually decorated, are equipped with a range of amenities. These include private bathrooms with complimentary designer toiletries, hair dryers, bathrobes, and either a bathtub or shower. Each room also features individual wall-mounted, quiet and cold ductless air conditioning units, ensuring personalized climate control. Entertainment is provided by Smart TVs with over 250 satellite channels, including streaming services like Netflix and Hulu. For added convenience, rooms include mini-fridges, coffee/tea makers, work desks, steam irons, and ironing boards. Guests frequently laud the "heavenly" bedding, with high thread count sheets and plush terry cloth robes, and comfortable pillowtop beds, guaranteeing a restful sleep. Beyond the individual rooms, the guest house offers attractive common areas, such as the front and back patios/gardens, complete with seating areas and fire pits, perfect for relaxing and socializing. The inclusion of amenities like a shared microwave and vending machine further enhance guest convenience. The guest house also provides beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas for guests planning a day at the beach. Some rooms feature private balconies or terraces, offering outdoor space to enjoy the Provincetown air. The property also offers allergy-free rooms and boasts robust, secure Wi-Fi with speeds up to 900 Mbps.

Regarding promotional information, while specific time-limited deals should always be verified directly with the Prince Albert Guest House or on their official website, the guest house emphasizes its core offerings as key promotions. The ability to rent electric bikes directly from the property at a better price point is a continuous value proposition for guests. The inclusion of a "self-serve breakfast" is also a significant draw, providing value and flexibility. The guest house often highlights its suitability for both short and extended stays, and its prime location makes it an attractive choice for various travel purposes, including romantic getaways, small parties, anniversaries, and weddings. The pricing for parking varies by season, indicating potential cost savings during off-peak months. The guest house also operates the "Prince Albert Heritage House," a larger 7-bedroom rental property that includes access to Prince Albert Guest House facilities (excluding breakfast), and the "Prince Albert Rose," a newer addition offering 1-3 bedroom apartments with large outdoor gardens. Both of these properties offer complimentary access to a Level 3 EV charger. Guests are advised to review the specific booking policies, including cancellation and prepayment terms, which vary by accommodation type. However, the consistent positive feedback from repeat guests, who often state they "will absolutely stay again and for more days next time," serves as a powerful testament to the guest house's quality and the value it provides.

Paul the host and owner was the absolute best. He was so pleasant, the room was immaculate, the location was awesome, the cleaning women who were stocking the kitchen were also very helpful. The also had electric bikes in the back courtyard to rent at a much better price than the local bike stores. We stayed at several locations in Provincetown over the last few years, and this by far is the best.

If you are looking for a place in Provincetown… look no further! I was so happy with our accommodation here. Rooms were perfect and large. Shared areas were so nice, with fridge stocked with cold soda as we walked in the door. Microwave popcorn for the munchies and the most perfect breakfast in the morning! But the best was the location right on commercial street… just perfect to be in the heart of it all. We brought our dogs. Having a fenced in front yard and back was a big plus!

I want to rave about the owner Paul and his great service. I had to cancel my 3-night stay the day before, due to sickness. Though, I booked through a 3rd party site, Paul went above and beyond to help recoup my cost. My friend and I were truly amazed at the kindness and thoughtfulness of this gesture. I will definitely stay here when I do get a chance to visit PTown. Thank you 😊!

I am in Provincetown every September. I had stayed at another house down the street for many years. The owner retired and the new owners totally changed the vibe of the house. The Prince Albert was recommended to me. What a joy! Big rooms, private bath, breakfast provided, a staff that are like your moms away from home and keep the house spotless!
