Quality Inn Stone Mountain, located at 1595 E Park Pl Blvd, Stone Mountain, GA 30087, USA, presents itself as a readily available and cost-effective accommodation choice for local users and travelers searching within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category. This hotel, operating under the Quality Inn brand, aims to provide fundamental lodging services with an emphasis on affordability and accessibility in the Stone Mountain area.
The "Hotels Near Of Me" categorization is designed for individuals seeking immediate and geographically convenient lodging. For Quality Inn Stone Mountain, this means it is intended to be a straightforward option for those requiring a place to stay in or around Stone Mountain, Georgia, without extensive planning or a preference for luxury amenities. Its listing on various booking platforms makes it visible to a broad audience looking for economical choices in the region.
The environment surrounding Quality Inn Stone Mountain is suburban, situated in Stone Mountain, Georgia. The hotel's address on East Park Place Boulevard places it within a commercial district, likely providing access to a few local dining establishments and businesses. A key aspect of its environment is its proximity to Stone Mountain Park, a major tourist attraction, though the provided reviews suggest that some guests found it not as close or convenient to the park as expected, or that the immediate surroundings detracted from the experience. While Stone Mountain offers natural beauty and recreational opportunities, the specific area around the hotel, as described by some guests, may be perceived as "sketchy" with a "poorly lit" parking lot and constant car traffic, indicating a potentially busy or transient environment. The hotel is also within a reasonable driving distance to downtown Atlanta and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, making it accessible for road travelers and those connecting through the airport.
In terms of services, Quality Inn Stone Mountain generally offers a range of standard amenities expected from a budget-friendly hotel under the Choice Hotels brand. These typically include:
However, it is crucial to note that customer reviews severely contradict the expected quality and functionality of these services. Accounts mention non-functional air conditioners, broken breakfast equipment (toaster, waffle maker, mini-fridge), leaking sinks, non-working TVs, and "badly smelled" towels. This indicates a significant gap between the advertised or typical brand standards and the actual guest experience at this specific location.
The features of Quality Inn Stone Mountain, ideally, would highlight its value and convenience. These features, based on general brand offerings and location, would include:
However, the actual customer reviews paint a drastically different picture of the hotel's features and overall condition. Repeated and severe complaints describe rooms with an "overwhelming stench of cigarette smoke" despite being non-smoking, "stained ceilings and walls, cobwebs, burn marks and holes in the bedding, and a general sense of grime everywhere." The bathrooms are reported to be "sticky," with "broken and peeling" caulking, "strange black stains," and even a "bright red stain that I honestly believe was blood." The absence of drain covers, poor lighting in the parking lot, and issues with keycard systems are also cited. Furthermore, reports of loud "street style party" noise outside rooms and constant car traffic suggest significant issues with the overall guest environment and security. The hotel's response to complaints, described as a "canned apology" with no resolution or refund, further highlights a potential lack of effective customer service and property management.
Regarding promotional information, Quality Inn, as part of Choice Hotels, typically promotes:
However, it is paramount for any potential guest to consider the overwhelming negative feedback detailed in customer reviews before booking. The promotional messaging of "value for money" and brand reliability appears to be severely challenged by the real-world experiences described by former guests. The phone numbers, (470) 222-7624 and +1 470-222-7624, are provided for direct contact, but based on the reviews, guests with concerns might also consider reaching out to Choice Hotels corporate directly, as one reviewer did, although even that yielded limited resolution. The advice from multiple customers, including "Don’t stay here. Believe me. Just don’t," strongly suggests that potential guests should exercise extreme caution and manage their expectations, prioritizing their safety and comfort over potentially low prices.

Service was outstanding. My first room smelled like everyone smoked inside. The room was listed as non-smoking. Also the air conditioner was broken. My second room was a little better. However, the other “guests” several rooms down seem okay having a street style party outside their rooms. Cars are constantly coming in and out. Would not recommend at all if you are looking for something close to Stone Mountain, GA.
May 17, 2025 · John ThomasI had no other options when I booked this place — I chose it because it was the most affordable in the area. That should’ve been the first warning sign. From the moment I arrived, everything about this hotel felt off. The area felt sketchy, the parking lot was poorly lit, and the giant sign out front literally brags about being the cheapest around. Unfortunately, that reflected in the entire experience. When I finally got into my non-smoking room (after struggling with a barely-working keycard system), I was hit with the overwhelming stench of cigarette smoke. It was hard to breathe. The room looked and felt completely neglected — stained ceilings and walls, cobwebs, burn marks and holes in the bedding, and a general sense of grime everywhere. The bathroom was even worse. The floor was sticky, the caulking was broken and peeling, and there were strange black stains in the corners. One corner had a bright red stain that I honestly believe was blood. The drains had no covers — just open, gaping holes leading into the pipes. Each day I came back, the cigarette smell had returned. I don’t smoke, but clearly someone nearby did — in their own “non-smoking” room. I even found a lighter jammed behind the furniture. I’ve stayed in budget hotels before, but this was the most run-down, poorly maintained room I’ve ever seen. I wouldn’t even put a pet in this room, let alone another person. It was genuinely hard to relax or sleep here. I had read reviews about poor customer service, so instead of going to the front desk, I contacted Choice Hotels corporate. I gave them time to look into it. Weeks passed. Eventually, the hotel sent me a canned response: “On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for failing to exceed your expectations…” That was it. No resolution, no refund — just a copy-pasted apology. Corporate gave me some points on my account (barely enough for one night), but the hotel itself didn’t acknowledge the condition of the room or the experience I had. This review isn’t written lightly. I wish I had listened to the other reviews. I hope others read this and make a more informed decision than I did. I’ve attached photos — they speak louder than anything I can say here. Don’t stay here. Believe me. Just don’t.
May 10, 2025 · AbdulWhen we got to our room it smelled of marijuana. Once the air conditioner was turned on and circulated the air it was fine. The bed was comfortable but broken in the middle, so we rolled into one another all night. Great location to the bar we go to. I believe they could use some improvements.
Mar 19, 2025 · Angela DavenportThe room suppose to be smoke free but it smell like smoke that won’t go away. The bathroom had dirty hand prints on the wall.the sheets set and comforter has holes on them. The people stays outside all night smoking weed. A lady dog walked up to me and my children ( all she had to say was it’s okay it’s a service animal ) with no vest or nothing. First of all service animals don’t go to people. The breakfast was nasty. The tub sound like somebody was screaming , the doors looks like they are open. Over all my stay was terrible
