The perfect, quiet getaway inside of suburbia. This trip was supposed to be a trip with my husband. However, a last minute pet issue kept him home. Instead of canceling, he encouraged me to continue with the plan to go. I definitely needed that trip. When I arrived, it was raining. However, that was a sign (to me) that this was meant for me to shut in and slowdown. This place was very peaceful and offered immense privacy. However, eateries and the grocery store was less than 10 minutes away. It felt good to be away from the hustle and bustle. And when I returned home, I felt recharged. I have told my family and friends about this place. I definitely plan to make another trip here within this year. This is a great place to reset and reconnect with a partner or solo. There is cellular service, heat and AC. There are no televisions and minimum electrical outlets. Hiking trails are 10-45 minutes (or longer depending where you want to hike) drive away.

It's important for prospective guests to note a few practical recommendations, especially for winter stays, such as bringing a heated blanket and bug spray, as some critters might make their way in. May 16, 2025 · Michelle CokerWe stayed in the Dogwood tent. Loved our stay here!! It was so nice! Even though it was winter we enjoyed it. The indoor fire place was nice! The outdoor fire pit and hammock were so much fun and perfect for relaxing. We also enjoyed the Swedish sauna!! Few recommendations to anyone going… especially if you’re going in the winter..bring a heated blanket. Ours was a saving grace for cold nights. Also bring bug spray…. A few critters do make their way in. At night the water has to be turned off so the pipes don’t freeze, so bring a gallon of water just in case. I would highly recommend! The hosts are great communicators and ensured we had everything we needed.
Jan 22, 2025 · Casey ColeusJust stayed at Ramsden Lake for a little silence and solitude retreat and it was truly an awesome experience. Many many small and intentional choices have been made so that guests experience genuine hospitality. The rooms / tents are gorgeous. Building the fires is fun. The owner is kind and communicative. What a hidden gem. Bringing my family back this year no doubt. Maybe a getaway with my bride as well. Book with sincere confidence, coming from a guy who loves travel, sights and always is looking for hidden gems for lodging experiences. I am not being compensated for this review in any way, just genuinely ecstatic about my time at Ramsden Lake.
Jan 24, 2025 · Judah Press EntertainmentWe stayed in tent 11. It was a little bit of a walk down, but not bad. The temperatures outside were low 20s, but our tent stayed nice and warm. Between the wood burning stove and the heating mat on the bed, we were nice and cozy at night. The set up was perfect for cooking a basic meal, but we opted for pizza delivery and met the driver at the gate. The best part of our stay was the floating sauna. We loved the experience of looking out onto the lake while relaxing in the sauna. It was too cold for a cold water plunge, but maybe next time! We already booked another stay for next month.
Jan 22, 2025 · Allyson HageMy husband and I stayed in the Lake Tent at Ramsden Lake for a 2-day getaway. It was the most quaint and peaceful place we’ve ever stayed! The tent was clean, bed was comfortable, & the tree rain shower was amazing! We can’t wait to come back!
