Great location—right across from the King of Prussia Mall—and the rooms are spacious enough for families. The patio with a firepit and the bar are nice touches that give the property some charm. Unfortunately, the customer service completely ruins the experience. From Paige at the front desk to the female bartender, the attitude and lack of hospitality were unacceptable. We checked in with a maintenance issue in our shower—no one ever came. We requested extra blankets and pillows via the Bonvoy app and followed up with a call to the front desk. We received a message saying the request was acknowledged, but nothing was ever delivered. What really pushed it over the edge was the bartender yelling at our children not to run down the hallway—while I was standing right there. My children were enjoying themselves, and it is not the bartender’s place to reprimand them. If this hotel is aiming to be family-friendly, it missed the mark completely. Sadly, this seems to be a pattern with hotels in our area that try to present a hospitable image—they start strong and quickly fall apart due to poor service. I would not recommend staying here, especially if you’re traveling with children.

Residence Inn King of Prussia Introduce

For local users and travelers seeking accommodations, particularly for extended stays, under the "Hotels Near Of Me" category in the King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, area, the Residence Inn King of Prussia presents itself as a significant option. Located at 127 S Gulph Rd, King of Prussia, PA 19406, USA, this Marriott property is designed to provide home-like comforts for guests. For direct inquiries, reservations, or more information, you can reach the hotel at (484) 854-9720 or via mobile at +1 484-854-9720.

Environment and Location:
The Residence Inn King of Prussia boasts an exceptional location, offering unparalleled convenience for both leisure and business travelers. Its prime position is "right across from the King of Prussia Mall," one of the largest shopping and dining destinations in the United States. This direct proximity allows guests easy access to a vast array of retail stores, diverse restaurants, and entertainment options, often within walking distance. This convenience is a major draw for the property, highlighted as a "great location" by guests.

Beyond the mall, the hotel's environment benefits from its accessibility to major roadways, including the Pennsylvania Turnpike, I-76, and Route 202. This strategic placement makes it a practical base for business travelers heading to corporate parks and offices in the King of Prussia, Wayne, and Malvern areas, as well as for visitors to historical sites like Valley Forge National Historical Park and entertainment venues such as the Valley Forge Casino Resort. The property itself aims to create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, with outdoor features like a "patio with a firepit," adding a touch of charm and providing a pleasant space for relaxation. As a relatively "brand new hotel," it likely features modern design and facilities.

Services and Amenities:
As an extended-stay brand, Residence Inn King of Prussia offers a comprehensive suite of services and amenities designed to make longer stays comfortable and convenient.

  • Accommodations: The hotel primarily features spacious suites, which are described as "spacious enough for families" and "great." These suites typically include separate living and sleeping areas, and fully equipped kitchens with refrigerators, microwaves, dishwashers, and stovetops, allowing guests to prepare their own meals. Rooms are noted to be "exceptionally clean" and "clean."
  • Complimentary Breakfast: Guests can enjoy a complimentary hot breakfast buffet served daily, which typically includes a variety of hot and cold items, a selection of pastries, fresh fruit, coffee, and juices. This is a significant value-add for extended-stay guests.
  • Kitchens in Suites: The full kitchens in every suite are a hallmark of the Residence Inn brand, providing flexibility and cost savings for guests, especially for longer stays.
  • Evening Socials: Many Residence Inn properties offer complimentary evening socials on select days, providing snacks, beverages, and an opportunity for guests to mingle. While not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews, it's a common Residence Inn amenity.
  • Fitness Center: A fitness center is available for guests to maintain their workout routines.
  • Indoor Pool: Many Residence Inn locations feature an indoor pool, offering a recreational option regardless of the weather.
  • Pet-Friendly: Residence Inn properties are typically pet-friendly, though additional fees and restrictions may apply. This is a major benefit for guests traveling with pets.
  • Guest Laundry: On-site laundry facilities are usually available, which is essential for extended stays.
  • Connectivity: Free high-speed Wi-Fi is standard throughout the hotel, allowing guests to stay connected.
  • Parking: Complimentary self-parking is generally available, providing convenience for guests with vehicles.
  • On-site Bar: The presence of a "bar" on-site is a nice amenity, offering a place for guests to unwind.

Features and Guest Experience:
The Residence Inn King of Prussia's key features revolve around providing a comfortable and convenient experience for both short and extended stays, particularly for families. The "spacious" rooms and the "brand new" appearance of the hotel contribute to a positive first impression. The "patio with a firepit and the bar are nice touches that give the property some charm." Cleanliness is consistently highlighted, with rooms being "exceptionally clean" and the hotel generally well-maintained.

However, the provided reviews reveal a stark contrast in guest experiences, particularly concerning customer service. While one guest had a highly positive interaction with "Paige at the front desk," describing her as "so sweet" and helpful, even providing an "upgrade," another review details a significantly negative experience with staff. This negative feedback points to "attitude and lack of hospitality" from certain individuals, including "Paige at the front desk" and a "female bartender." Specific issues included a neglected "maintenance issue in our shower," unfulfilled requests for "extra blankets and pillows" despite acknowledgment, and a "bartender yelling at our children not to run down the hallway." This latter incident is particularly concerning for a hotel aiming to be "family-friendly," as it suggests a lack of understanding or patience with children. The sentiment that "customer service completely ruins the experience" and that the hotel "missed the mark completely" for families indicates a serious inconsistency in service delivery. The observation that "this seems to be a pattern with hotels in our area that try to present a hospitable image—they start strong and quickly fall apart due to poor service" is a critical general comment that potential guests should consider.

Promotional Information and Value:
As a Marriott brand, Residence Inn King of Prussia participates in the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program, allowing guests to earn and redeem points for their stays, and potentially access exclusive member rates or benefits. The complimentary breakfast, in-suite kitchens, and pet-friendly policy are significant value propositions for guests, especially those on extended stays or traveling with families. The prime location across from the King of Prussia Mall also adds immense value, making it a highly desirable spot for shopping enthusiasts and those seeking dining and entertainment options nearby.

While the physical property is lauded for being "beautiful, brand new," and "exceptionally clean," the conflicting reports on customer service are a critical factor for potential guests to consider. For those prioritizing a seamless and consistently positive service experience, especially with children, the negative review suggests caution. However, for guests who might prioritize location, room spaciousness, and amenities like the full kitchen, and are prepared to navigate potential service inconsistencies, the Residence Inn King of Prussia could still be a viable option. The hotel's appeal lies in its strong physical attributes and convenient location, but the variable customer service experience needs to be objectively weighed. The recommendation to "not recommend staying here, especially if you’re traveling with children" from one highly dissatisfied guest is a significant piece of feedback.

What a beautiful, brand new hotel. The room was great, exceptionally clean. Paige at the front desk helped answer all of my questions thoroughly when I called before the stay, and then we got to meet her when we arrived and she was so sweet! She gave us an upgrade which was much appreciated. I plan on staying here again in the future- I was very impressed with how clean it was, and all the amenities. Highly recommend!

Our group stayed here recently for a hockey tournament. Accommodations were excellent, rooms were very spacious especially the large kitchens. Scott was so hospitable and patient with our large group of kids. Couldn’t have asked for more. Thanks to everyone who worked hard to keep all guests happy during our stay!

Hotel is in very close vicinity to the mall. The room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was great as well! Front desk staff was friendly. If back in the area, we’d stay here again.
