The hotel was booked solid over the weekend-with groups of kids. The hotel was more like an unsupervised day care. Kids running ALL over the hotel-lobby, hallways, pushing elevator buttons and running, knocking on doors and running. Staff did nothing. The breakfast buffet was disgusting-WHITE SCRAMBLED EGGS? Unsupervised kids getting food, putting their hands in the food-disgusting at best. Many of the options were empty or not available. The one front desk person did seem nice until I called and asked WHERE WAS MY deposit after 6 days. She told me to call my bank. My bank was ON THE CALL. Never received a receipt. I had emailed/called the Holiday Inn about these issues but never received a promised response. The room was filthy. The sleeper sofa was filthy. The HVAC did work well. Overall, this place is a dump. Of the 9 Holiday Inns stayed at in the past 3 years-this was the worst.
For individuals and families seeking accommodations under the "Hotels Near Of Me" category in the vibrant King of Prussia area, the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Philadelphia - King of Prussia by IHG offers a lodging option designed for convenience and essential amenities. Situated at 260 N Gulph Rd, King of Prussia, PA 19406, USA, this hotel aims to provide a straightforward and efficient stay. Guests can contact the hotel directly at (610) 768-9500 or via mobile at +1 610-768-9500 for reservations and inquiries. As part of the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) family, it generally adheres to a brand standard focused on comfort and value.
Beyond highway access, the hotel's location in King of Prussia is highly desirable due to its proximity to the King of Prussia Mall, one of the largest shopping malls in the United States, offering an extensive array of retail, dining, and entertainment options. Additionally, the hotel is near several corporate parks and business centers, making it a suitable choice for business travelers visiting companies in the region. Attractions such as Valley Forge National Historical Park, a significant historical site, and the Valley Forge Casino Resort are also within easy reach. The immediate surroundings of the hotel likely offer "nice restaurants near by," providing convenient dining choices for guests.
A major concern highlighted is the hotel's atmosphere when "booked solid over the weekend-with groups of kids." The description of the hotel as an "unsupervised day care," with "kids running ALL over the hotel-lobby, hallways, pushing elevator buttons and running, knocking on doors and running," indicates a lack of effective staff supervision or hotel policy enforcement to manage guest behavior. This directly impacted other guests' comfort and peace, creating a chaotic and noisy environment.
The cleanliness of the rooms and the breakfast buffet are also significant points of contention. One review explicitly states the "room was filthy" and the "sleeper sofa was filthy." This directly contradicts expectations for a modern hotel. The highly negative feedback on the breakfast buffet, citing "disgusting" food quality and unsanitary conditions due to unsupervised children, is a serious operational issue that impacts guest health and satisfaction.
Customer service, while praised for one "nice" front desk person, faced severe criticism regarding deposit refunds and a lack of responsiveness to guest complaints. The inability to get a receipt and a promised response to emailed/called issues points to deficiencies in post-stay support and problem resolution. The operational issue of only one elevator working further adds to guest inconvenience.
Despite these significant drawbacks, the hotel's "great convenience to get on and off turnpike" and its proximity to "nice restaurants near by" remain strong objective features. The working HVAC system is also a positive note. However, the cumulative negative experiences, particularly concerning cleanliness, breakfast quality, noise levels, and customer service resolution, led one guest to declare the place a "dump" and the "worst" Holiday Inn they had stayed at.
For users searching on "Hotels Near Of Me," the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Philadelphia - King of Prussia might initially appear attractive due to its brand recognition and strategic location in King of Prussia, offering convenient access to major highways, shopping, and business centers. However, potential guests should be aware of the serious concerns raised by recent reviewers regarding noise levels, cleanliness, breakfast hygiene, and customer service follow-up. While the location remains a strong point, the overall guest experience, as described, suggests a potential inconsistency in service delivery and property management that may not align with the expected value from a Holiday Inn Express & Suites, particularly during peak occupancy times with groups. Therefore, a cautious approach is advised for those prioritizing a quiet, clean, and well-managed stay.

Apr 30, 2025 · MP MJRooms are a bit dated. Only 1 out of 2 elevators working. Woman at front desk was nice to me, but definitely didn't want to be there. Great convenience to get on and off turnpike. Nice restaurants near by
May 19, 2025 · tim sosnoskieI drive an entertainer coach for a living and it isn’t always easy to find a hotel with a lot that can accommodate a vehicle that needs 60 feet - this location absolutely has that and it is easy to get in and out of. Right before my current stay I had emergency surgery and couldn’t wait to get here and out of the bus; Erika took exceptional care of me sorting all the details so I could get settled and relax and focus on recovery from my dental surgery. I stay here every time we have an off day before or after performing in Philly and I cannot recommend this location enough. They do truly care here and do their absolute best to accommodate your needs!
Mar 16, 2025 · Elizabeth OwenGreat staff, perfect location close to many stores and the mall. Tyler the front desk Manager is professional and friendly. I had couple of concerns and he took care of them right away. I definitely will be staying, I would encourage anyone traveling especially for work to stay at this location.
Mar 25, 2025 · Syed M AliWe typically enjoy stays at IHG properties, but this one is not well managed. The rooms are not well maintained- a small thing, but the conditioner dispenser contained soap. The breakfast was tasteless and the elevators unreliable.
