Chose this hotel for my first stay in NYC. The suites are very well-equipped and spacious (as advertised). The cleanliness is at a hospital level. The skyline views of Manhattan are absolutely breathtaking. The ferry to Manhattan is just a 2-minute walk from the hotel, and each ride is an experience on its own. A subsequent bus to Times Square is included in the ticket. (Buy the poorly advertised ferry pass instead of the single ride tickets) The only downsides are the noisy road next to the hotel, combined with the poorly insulated windows, and the rather basic breakfast, where almost all the hot/savory food consists of prepackaged, reheated meals.

This is a common feature in many extended-stay brands, focusing on convenience and sustenance rather than gourmet dining, but it nonetheless adds value to the overall stay.

Promotional information, based on the general offerings of Residence Inn and the customer reviews, would highlight the hotel's value proposition. The "Hotels Near Of Me" category would emphasize its strategic location for exploring New York City without the premium pricing often associated with Manhattan hotels. The absence of "smells from the kitchen" despite being a hotel with in-room kitchens further attests to its high standards of cleanliness and ventilation. The only reported downsides, the noisy road and poorly insulated windows, are important considerations but are often outweighed by the significant advantages of location, space, and access to NYC.

Feb 13, 2025 · Roko PrenkaReally Solid hotel next to ferry nothing super special but clean new hotel, staff super friendly. i expected smells from the kitchen but non at all. I stayed here as I need a larger room for family and wasn’t disappointed. Everything you would expect from a three star hotel and more..
Feb 21, 2025 · Scott VontobelA fabulous property with clean and spacious suites that has a fully functional kitchenette with all required stuff like a stove, utensils, plates and spoons, a nice couch for the tv and the bedroom with partial city view and another TV. Went in winter and the room had very good centralized heating and an additional AC unit that could heat and cool which worked well. The room had a locker too. The house keeping was at the top of the game making the room as good as new each day without fail. The reception staff was friendly and the breakfast offered was sufficient quite a variety ( a lot of packed food and paper utensils - not a huge problem but feels odd). The proximity to the ferry terminal is great, so getting to and from Manhattan from 6 AM to 12 AM is a breeze. Also there is NJ Transit busses throughout and very walkable from the property to Manhattan. Definitely a great place to stay away from the city with easy access to it. And the best part, everyday you get the skyline view and it’s beautiful.
Jan 19, 2025 · ARUN Thundyill SaseendranWe arrived Friday 10/11 and departed 10/15. The location of this hotel is great. It’s right across the street from the ferry station that takes you over to New York, so that made things very easy. Don’t waste your money on the “partial view” room. It’s not necessarily worth it, and you can just walk outside and see the beautiful skyline from the sidewalk. The suite itself though was very nice. I have no complaints about anything with the hotel itself. Check in was simple, and quick. My one and only gripe was the no in/out privileges as this is in a retail space and the hotel shares a parking garage with various retail shops in the area. $22 max all day. $8 per hour. I have stayed at other hotels where they have this same set up, but a portion of the spots are reserved for hotel guests and in/out access is given through the key card. I spent $106 on parking here throughout my stay. Regardless, when ywe do journey back to the East Coast, we will still consider this hotel again in the future, as the overall stay was lovely.
Oct 28, 2024 · Brianna ChristiansonWe are at the hotel for 6 nights, and it’s a nightmare here. - Closets are super small, so you have to live out of suitcases on the floor - Phone doesn’t work so you have to email or go down physically to guest services every time - No utensils, so you have to go ask for it - No iron box, you have to ask for it as well Location and property quality is good. But services and amenities are very poor. I would think twice if you are coming with family.
