Stay away if you can. This hotel might seem like a great and cozy space to stay during your vacation but be aware. The only reason I'm giving this hotel two starts is because of its great location and proximity to Times Square. At first glance, this hotel seemed great, our room looked clean, it had a full mini kitchen, a big spacious bathroom and the receptionist was very friendly. We stayed here for four nights and there wasn't a single night in which I couldn't stop coughing and it would only happen while at the hotel room. The kitchen was really dirty and greasy. You could tell they don’t clean often. Also the house keeping lady never cleaned our room despite having the sign on the door.

Mar 18, 2023 · Ivan CoronaI was lucky to have a room at first floor since there isn't elevator. My room was big, and bed was comfortable. 15 min walk to times sq. Air conditioning very appreciated and working good. Cleaning and towels only upon request, I don't have problem with that. Kitchenette is very convenient. BUT One night y found a mouse running in my room. Following it I found three other mice corpses in a trap behind the fridge that passed away probably weeks ago. During the mouse pursuit I was able to check the long term lack of vacuuming in hidden areas (under the bed, beside tables...) That experience changed my opinion that was quite good until that day.
Aug 01, 2022 · Marcos LagoIt was a splendid experience, we stayed 2 weeks. We got a big room in first floor so we didn’t mind that there wasn’t the elevator. The position is very good, not far from times square or from the subway, especially considering the prince.. this one was the cheapest. Reception wasn’t 24h but if you needed something you could ask in the morning. At the checkout (at 5pm) she kept our luggage like every other hotel. Recommended. ciuciupenz

They had said that there wasn’t a room like that and just put us in a room with 2 beds! The fridge barley works , its not even clean they say it is. The silver wear is stained and the beds are to. Overall it was a bad experience.

The gentleman (Latino guy) that was there very nice and provided great service. He brought us clean towels every day. You could not hear people coming in and out. Our room was very clean. The linen was clean and fresh. The bathroom was clean as well. There was no sign of dirt or hair in the shower or sink. This is not a full service hotel, so you don’t get the amenities that you would in a full service hotel. If you’re SELF SUFFICIENT, this hotel will be perfect for you. There is a small kitchen in the room that is stocked with pots and pans, a microwave, fridge, silverware and drinking glasses and plates. The area was safe and 5 blocks away from Times Square. I would definitely stay at Hotel Five44 again and I highly recommend it.
