548 W 48th St, New York, NY 10036, USA
A somewhat good place to stay in Midtown Manhattan if you plan to be out and about in New York. When we arrived the heater in the assigned room was not operational and we were informed that no other room was available. Upon notifying that we would cancel our stay and make reservations elsewhere, the front desk did arrange another room where a refrigerator needed to be moved in (as the reservation indicated). Breakfast is provided from 6:30-9:30 daily of eggs, tator tots, french toast slices, and a waffle maker, including tea, coffee and bananas. The location of this stay is within walking distance of the Broadway theatres and deli's. A good location for our stay.

One guest described the hotel as a "somewhat good place to stay in Midtown Manhattan if you plan to be out and about." They encountered an initial issue with a non-operational heater in their assigned room and were informed that no other room was available. However, upon expressing their intent to cancel, the front desk arranged another room, which required a refrigerator to be moved in as per their reservation. This guest noted that breakfast is provided daily from 6:30 to 9:30, including eggs, tator tots, french toast slices, a waffle maker, tea, coffee, and bananas. The hotel's location was deemed good, as it is within walking distance of the Broadway theaters and various delis.
Another guest, traveling as two adults in a standard two-bed bedroom, reported an "absolutely perfect" experience. They acknowledged that the room may have been small but found it to have everything they needed, including very comfortable beds. They advised that the room size would likely be restrictive for more than two people, which they noted is common in the city. The breakfast was considered adequate with short lines, and they praised the front office and housekeeping staff as excellent. This guest could not think of any negative aspects of their stay and found the location to be unbeatable for the price range. They were pleasantly surprised, having been initially skeptical due to the seemingly low cost. They would definitely recommend this hotel over the more crowded Times Square area, noting that while a train station isn't very close, there are plenty of metro buses available.

Mar 25, 2025 · T JH (Dr. T)We were two adults, had a standard two bed bedroom, and everything was absolutely perfect. The room may have been small but it had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. I wouldn’t recommend more than 2 people in one room simply because the room sizes are small (that’s everywhere in the city). The breakfast was adequate. The lines were not long, the front office and house keeping staff were excellent. I can’t think of one negative thing to say. Our experience was perfect. The location can’t be beat for the price range. I was skeptical because it felt too good to be true when I booked it. But I was pleasantly surprised. I would definitely recommend it over Times Square or other over crowded areas. The only downside to the location is that there is not a train station very close by, but plenty of metro buses to choose from!
Nov 20, 2024 · Raashi CClean rooms comfortable bed. Lot of restaurants and options to eat. Smallest rooms we have ever stayed. No place to hang your clothes if it's snowing or raining. Literally no space with just two carry on size backpacks. Don't leave your luggage with them. They just stuff it in a corner and don't monitor it. When we went to retrieve it they just asked us to pick up the bag ourselves without any supervision or checking ticket. Anyone off the street can walk in and walk out with any bags. Breakfast is never refilled and pretty bad. So definitely don't book it if you are relying on the breakfast. No good public transportation options either. Definitely would look at other options.
Dec 31, 2024 · V KI have to say, Google Maps reviews can be vicious. And I'm not sure why, considering the stay at this hotel was perfectly fine. So I'm rating it 4 stars. We stayed here because we were going to an event at Terminal 5 Theater, and this hotel is a 15-minute walk from there. It's about as convenient of a location you can get for Brooklyn, Hells Kitchen, and Times Square, NYC, without paying a fortune. A 20 minute walk from Times Square means that this hotel is quiet and comfortable, and means you can give yourself a nice morning walk into the heart of the city to see Times Square before it "wakes up." The service was friendly, and check-in went smoothly; the room was clean, bed was comfortable; the breakfast was free. I see a lot of reviews complaining about the quality of the breakfast, or that there is not a lot of room in the lobby to eat it, and to them, I say, what do you expect for a hotel breakfast in NYC? And why can't you just take your breakfast to your room if you're dissatisfied with the seating area, or wake up earlier before it gets crowded? The breakfast was a standard continental fare: Egg patties, sausage links, bagels with cream cheese, toast with butter or jam, cereal, and yogurt. There were juice, water, and coffee options. And I have to say, for instant coffee, having a dark and light roast coffee was nice to see, for someone who loves coffee as much as I do. Whatever brand of instant coffee they were using was very good. The only complaint I have is the thermostat was not controllable, and our room was freezing. There were no extra blankets in the room, so we had to make do with what we had. Considering that's the only thing that I had to complain about, I consider this hotel a good option!
Nov 17, 2024 · Zie MuellerVery average room. No microwave or fridge. No chest of drawers. Otherwise good bed and bathroom. It is affordable, just don't expect any amenities. Breakfast is very basic and wifi very very very bad. I was on 3rd floor. Maybe it is stronger in other areas.
