This grand, old-style aesthetic, complete with intricate wallpaper and endless hallways, evokes a sense of classic grandeur. One guest even noted its resemblance to the captivating, albeit non-creepy, atmosphere of "The Shining," highlighting the vastness and welcoming feeling of the property. While the public areas are consistently praised for their beauty and cleanliness, it's worth noting that some guests have reported inconsistencies with cleanliness and maintenance in the rooms themselves, with mentions of drink stains, worn carpets, and dusty surfaces in certain instances. However, the decor of the bathrooms within the rooms often receives positive remarks, showcasing a continued commitment to aesthetic detail.
Salvatore's Garden Place Hotel offers a comprehensive range of services and amenities designed to enhance the guest experience. The hotel features 166 guest rooms and suites, providing a variety of options from deluxe king rooms to expansive Emperor and Empress suites, many of which boast jetted tubs, including two-person whirlpools in the Executive and Honeymoon Suites. All rooms are equipped with amenities such as flat-screen TVs, premium channels, Wi-Fi, desks, refrigerators, and in-room coffee/tea makers. Room service is available from Italian | Prime at Salvatore's, the hotel's on-site five-star restaurant.
For dining, the hotel offers several options. Guests can enjoy a daily breakfast at the Garden Cafe, though it is often a continental breakfast available for a fee. Some promotions may include a daily breakfast voucher. Italian | Prime serves dinner, offering a refined dining experience. Additionally, Remington's Lounge provides a full-service bar with daily happy hour specials, perfect for unwinding in the evenings. While some guests have mentioned issues with staff attentiveness at the bar, the overall feedback on the restaurant offerings is generally positive.
Beyond dining, the hotel provides a 24-hour fitness center and a sauna for recreation and relaxation. While there is no swimming pool, the hot tubs in select suites offer a private spa-like experience. For convenience, the hotel offers a free 24-hour airport shuttle service to Buffalo-Niagara International Airport (BUF) and a free train station pick-up and drop-off shuttle. The "endless hallways" and grand scale contribute to a feeling of spaciousness and luxury, which many guests find captivating.
The variety of room types, especially the suites with jetted tubs, caters to different needs, from romantic getaways to business travel. The emphasis on offering a "STAYcation" experience suggests the hotel aims to be a destination in itself, not just a place to sleep. Its strategic location on Transit Road provides easy access to various local attractions, including the Diamond Hawk Golf Course, Burchfield Penny Art Museum, Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Walden Galleria Mall, and is a relatively short drive from Niagara Falls and Ralph Wilson Stadium (home of the Buffalo Bills).
However, some guests have noted certain aspects that could be improved. For instance, the absence of microwaves in individual rooms, with only one small, shared microwave available on each floor, has been a point of dissatisfaction for some, particularly due to cleanliness concerns. While the hotel does offer complimentary Wi-Fi, the comfort of beds and general room maintenance have been inconsistent for some visitors, with reports of old mattresses and cleanliness issues in some rooms.
While specific, real-time promotions were not extensively detailed in the provided information, the hotel does offer various packages, including dinner, spa, wine tour, and park-and-fly options. Guests are encouraged to join the hotel's insiders email list for specials and updates. The "Diamond Getaway" package, for example, has been advertised to include boutique accommodations with a jetted tub, a significant food & beverage credit for the on-site restaurants and bars, and a daily breakfast voucher, presenting an attractive option for those seeking a luxurious escape. The hotel frequently offers corporate rates, making it suitable for business travelers. Given its family-owned nature, the hotel often emphasizes its commitment to quality service and a premier guest experience, aiming to attract those looking for refined accommodations for celebrations, business gatherings, or romantic getaways.
In summary, Salvatore's Garden Place Hotel offers a unique, aesthetically rich experience for those searching for "Hotels Near Of Me." Its grand environment, diverse services, and unique features, particularly the opulent decor and specialized suites, create a memorable stay. May 22, 2025 · Chantalle GilbertThe hotel lobby and first floor hallway looked amazing and beautiful and gives you the feeling that your room will be the same. The service was not that great. They were not rude. Just not very attentive and on their phones the entire time, especially at the bar. The rooms were not great. There were drink stains on the door, carpet was terrible on the 2nd floor. It smelled like cigarettes throughout the hallway on 2nd floor the entire time I stayed there. There was a spider in the shower when we got there. However I did love the decor of the bathrooms in the room. But the furniture was not clean. There were food stains on the chairs that I cleaned with a Lysol wipe, TV was SUPER dusty...the bed was not comfortable because you sunk down as soon as you sat on the bed. Not like thr mattress was just extra soft, but more like it sunk because the bed was very old and springs were busted. Not a comfortable sleep. I wanted to love this place but I most likely won't be staying here again. The rooms were just too dirty and uncomfortable. The downstairs lobby and scenery don't make up for the rooms. -Oh, one last thing. There are no microwaves in the room, there is one on each floor (so 2 altogether)...and it's a small dingy microwave that was VERY nasty and dirty on the inside. I was so disgusted I wouldn't put my food in there even if it was covered. That needs to changed asap.
Apr 19, 2025 · Allison CarsonThe outside of this hotel looks luxurious. However, when you get inside you can tell that it's an outdated hotel. That doesn't mean that it wasn't clean. It definitely was. And the staff was super nice. I stayed in a king jacuzzi room. The first thing I noticed was there was no refrigerator in the room. When I asked the desk about it they looked at me like I had 5 eyeballs and basically told me every room had one. This wasn't the case in my room cause Waldo couldn't be found anywhere. Also the phone in the room didn't work either not that it matters all that much. The jacuzzi worked like a charm and we spent lots of time in it. Another plus is there's a sauna in the hotel. But another negative is that neither the ice machine nor the microwave near my room worked which I found weird. It was just a bit more of a walk to a working one so it wasn't that big of a deal. The room was super clean. The cleaning staff was awesome. All in all, though it's an outdated hotel, they take care of the rooms and it was a cool experience. The best part is it all is that I couldn't beat the price anywhere for that type of room. The location is great cause there's stuff all around on Transit but it's deff not "downtown" Buffalo. Service was great and while the rooms could use updating and some added amenities like a fridge and microwave in the room, it was a worthwhile experience. I would go back and definitely recommend.
May 13, 2025 · Icey VickI absolutely adore this hotel! The decor is stunning, with an elegant blend of modern and classic designs that create a warm ambiance. The kitsch game is real, and I'm here for it. The rooms are impeccably clean, and I can honestly say it's the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. Plus, there’s a delightful touch of luxury with two big, fluffy pillows for each guest—perfect for sinking into after a long day. The heater in the bathroom serves a dual purpose; not only does it keep the space cozy, but it also creates a soothing background hum that’s perfect for light sleepers. The bartender was fantastic, crafting delicious cocktails with a smile and enhancing the overall experience. I had a lovely time during my stay, and the affordability of it all was just the cherry on top!
Mar 08, 2025 · Pauline McGonnellWe are local and Salvatores has always had a good reputation, so I thought. I did not read the reviews, just based on what I thought I knew. THAT WAS A BIG MISTAKE. My husband and I booked a package deal for our anniversary. Once we arrived, check in was fine and the lobby was just as the pictures showed. As soon as we opened the door to the room it just smelled old. The rooms need a huge update. My husband went to take a shower, and the knob came right off in his hand. The faucet to the jacuzzi was also very loose. The carpet around the Jacuzzi was coming off the tub. The headboard and bed were not attached; it was just leaning on the wall. We had a package that included champagne. Which it was in the room, but not chilled and no glasses. My husband went to get ice, but the machine was broken. I had called the front desk and the lady who answered the phone was very rude when I ask for ice. I did tell her my husband had tried to get it, but it was broken, she proceeded we had to go to the 3rd floor to get it then. (that one was broken as well) I then asked for glasses as we had no way to drink it; she acted like it was the end of the world and was having a conversation with someone else while I was still on the phone. pretty much complaining about her day. I was told she would bring them when she can. It was over 30min before we got them. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone especially local. We could have gotten the same thing somewhere else for the same price. I can't believe local people have weddings here still and stay in this place. This hotel is not worth $320. They need to do a huge upgrade and get their staff in check.
