My husband and I were gifted a dinner and night away in a jacuzzi suite. Although the hotel is dated, it is beautiful. Unfortunately, the people in the room next to us played loud music that literally made our sharing wall vibrate for the entire night. We don’t typically complain, but by 1am, my husband called the front desk and asked them to address it. We heard their phone ring, and the music stopped briefly, but started again shortly after stopping. My husband called again & ended up going downstairs to the lobby at 3am to talk to the front desk directly about it. The music never stopped, and the front desk did little to nothing about it. When we addressed it the following morning, the woman working the front desk was really dismissive and defensive, and took absolutely no accountability for the lack of response and resolution. We understand that people want to get out and party- truly, we are in our 30’s- but is this business only inclusive to this type of crowd? What about the parents working full-time, trying to slip away for a rare, but high-end, romantic night away? This experience was really disappointing, and we will not be back.

Salvatore’s Grand Hotel Introduce

For local users in the Buffalo area seeking "Hotels Near Of Me" that offer a touch of elegance and comprehensive services, Salvatore’s Grand Hotel presents a distinct option. Located at 6675 Transit Rd, Buffalo, NY 14221, USA, with a phone number of (716) 636-4900, Salvatore’s Grand Hotel is part of the larger Salvatore’s Hospitality group, known for its long-standing presence in the Western New York hospitality scene. This hotel aims to provide a refined stay experience, often drawing guests looking for special occasions, fine dining, or convenient airport access combined with luxury.

Environment and Location:

Salvatore’s Grand Hotel is strategically positioned on Transit Road, a bustling commercial thoroughfare in Williamsville, NY, just minutes from the Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF). This makes it an exceptionally convenient choice for air travelers, with a complimentary airport shuttle service available between 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM. The hotel’s proximity to Interstate 90 (I-90) also ensures easy access for guests arriving by car, providing a direct route to downtown Buffalo, Niagara Falls, and other regional attractions.

The immediate environment around the hotel is characterized by a mix of businesses, restaurants, and shopping centers, including the Eastern Hills Mall and the intersection of Main & Transit. This offers guests a variety of dining and retail options within a short distance. The hotel itself, while acknowledged by some reviews as "dated," is consistently described as "beautiful" and "polished," suggesting a classic and grand aesthetic. It overlooks Patriots and Heroes Park, contributing to a more pleasant immediate view compared to some other airport-area hotels. However, it's worth noting that its location on a busy road might expose guests to some external noise, though rooms are typically designed with soundproofing.

Services and Amenities:

Salvatore’s Grand Hotel offers a comprehensive range of services and amenities, catering to both leisure and business travelers seeking a higher level of comfort and convenience. A key highlight is the complimentary hot breakfast served each morning, which guests often praise. The hotel is home to Russell's Steaks, Chops & More, a renowned steakhouse often ranked among the top in New York State, providing an upscale dining experience right on-site. There is also a stylish bar/lounge for guests to enjoy beverages.

Guest rooms and suites are well-appointed, typically featuring 42-inch flat-screen TVs with cable channels and pay movies, refrigerators, microwaves, and coffee makers. Bathrooms are equipped with rainfall showers, hair dryers, and designer toiletries, adding to the luxurious feel. Notably, some rooms, such as the King Room with Spa Bath and Royal Suite, feature jacuzzi tubs, catering to guests seeking a romantic or indulgent escape. All rooms are air-conditioned and offer free Wi-Fi, in-room safes, and soundproofing for comfort. The hotel provides daily housekeeping, room service, and dry cleaning/laundry services.

For active guests, there is a 24-hour fitness center. Business travelers can utilize the business center with xerox/fax services and meeting rooms. The hotel also offers express check-out, luggage storage, and a 24-hour front desk to assist with various needs, including concierge services and securing valuables. Free self-parking is available on-site, including motorcoach parking.

Features:

Several features make Salvatore’s Grand Hotel stand out for those searching for "Hotels Near Of Me." The presence of Russell's Steaks, Chops & More directly within the hotel is a significant draw, offering a high-end dining experience without leaving the property. This is particularly appealing for romantic getaways or special celebrations. The inclusion of jacuzzi suites provides a luxurious touch that differentiates it from many standard hotels in the area.

The hotel's aesthetic, described as "polished" and "grand," even if "dated" by some, contributes to a unique and memorable stay. The emphasis on elegance and sophisticated decor, from its ballrooms (often used for weddings and events) to its common areas, aligns with its "Grand Hotel" moniker. The staff, including front desk and shuttle staff, frequently receive high praise for being "excellent," "very friendly and helpful," which is crucial for a positive guest experience. The complimentary airport shuttle service is a practical feature, especially valuable for guests utilizing the hotel's "stay and park" options.

However, it is important to objectively present all aspects. One review highlighted a significant issue with noise from an adjacent room and a dismissive response from the front desk when attempting to resolve it. This suggests that while overall staff quality is high, there can be inconsistencies in handling challenging situations, and soundproofing may not always be sufficient to prevent disturbances. This point is crucial for guests seeking a quiet and undisturbed stay. The hotel is also a popular venue for weddings and events, which, while bringing a vibrant atmosphere, could occasionally contribute to increased noise levels or crowded common areas.

Promotional Information:

Salvatore’s Grand Hotel actively promotes itself as a premier destination for both leisure and event-based stays in the Buffalo area. Its primary promotional strategy often revolves around its luxurious amenities, particularly Russell's Steaks, Chops & More, and its elegant event spaces. The hotel offers various packages, such as the "Russell's Escape Package," "The Grand Package" (including a whirlpool suite and dinner), and "The Royal Suite Package," which bundle accommodations with fine dining experiences. These packages are specifically designed to attract couples seeking romantic getaways or those celebrating special occasions.

For travelers flying out of Buffalo, "stay and park" options are likely a key promotional feature, offering convenience and value for long-term parking. The complimentary airport shuttle service is also a frequently highlighted benefit. The hotel emphasizes its suitability for weddings and other large events, boasting five elegant ballrooms that can accommodate up to 600 guests, along with on-site catering and decor services. This extensive event capability makes it a strong contender for anyone searching for a comprehensive event venue within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category.

Promotions would also highlight its convenient location near major highways and local attractions, positioning it as an ideal base for exploring Western New York. While the hotel aims for a high-end experience, it often provides competitive pricing for its unique offerings, particularly through its bundled packages. Potential guests are encouraged to check the hotel's official website or major booking platforms for current offers and to note any specific terms and conditions related to packages or incidental charges.

Stayed for the first time with wife and two daughters. Doing the stay and park. $50 to park the car for the week. Staff, room, shuttle we're all excellent. (Very friendly and helpful front desk and shuttle staff.) Will be our go to for future flights out of Buffalo.

Amazing stay while in town on business. Friendliest staff and amazing rooms. Breakfast was great as well. Hopefully will be back in town soon for another stay.

We have been a regular weekend customer and were totally disappointed. The minute we walked in the room a major carpet burn in the suite. Couch propped with support on the leg. Area carpet was ragged and worn on edges. TV remote was not working. Jacuzzi would not hold water leaked out constantly and when we finally filled the tub to start the jets breaker shorted out. The room needs attention and updating. We always get the larger suite and stay the weekend and also stay on special occasions. I am sorry to say Russell's needs to evaluate and identify the major shortcomings before we plan another visit. The dinner was excellent but our accommodations fell short of our high expectations.
