Just getting around to writing this review as life has been hectic and it makes me sad seeing such bad reviews. It's a motel - not a 5 star resort - so just keep that in mind. This place kept my partner and I safe from November 2023 to the end of December 2023. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful on more than one occasion. We felt safe as a LGBTQ couple. The hotel manager will always have a spot in our hearts, he was the sweetest. The bed was very comfortable, we had no big issues and our heat/AC worked great. The microwave in our room did stop working but the microwave in the lobby was just fine for us. The room we were placed in was quiet and our door was very secure. Aldi's right across the street was such a a plus, not to mention all the other restaurant options. If we ever need a motel in the area again, I know we will be back! Thank you again.

Fairbridge Inn Express 7200 Transit Rd,Williamsville NY Introduce

For those exploring "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Williamsville, NY area, Fairbridge Inn Express at 7200 Transit Rd presents itself as a budget-friendly option, particularly for travelers seeking extended stays or a straightforward overnight stop. The hotel is conveniently located at 7200 Transit Rd, Williamsville, NY 14221, USA, and can be reached via phone at (716) 634-1500 or mobile at +1 716-634-1500.

Environment and Ambiance

Fairbridge Inn Express is a motel-style property, and it's essential for potential guests to set their expectations accordingly; it is not a luxury resort. The hotel consists of one building with two floors and no elevators, meaning access to the second floor is via stairs. The property was built in 1959, and while some sources suggest it has undergone renovations, guest experiences regarding the overall condition vary wildly. Some guests who stayed for longer periods have reported feeling "safe" and found their rooms quiet, with functional heating/AC. These positive accounts highlight the staff's friendliness and helpfulness, and the manager has been specifically praised. The location is also noted for convenience, with an Aldi's grocery store directly across the street and various restaurant options nearby.

However, a substantial number of reviews paint a starkly different picture. Many guests describe the hotel as being in a state of disrepair, with ceilings falling apart, and the entire building reportedly reeking of "smoke and wet dog or wet something… gross." Signage upon arrival can be poor, leading to confusion. Rooms are frequently described as cold, and bathrooms as extremely small and uncomfortable, with low showerheads. There are serious concerns about cleanliness, with reports of dirty sheets found under mattresses, and old trash and various "gross items" found in rooms. Furthermore, some reviews highlight significant safety concerns, such as windows that open completely on the second floor with no safety precautions, posing a serious risk. Noise from the nearby airport (being in the direct flight path) is also a major and consistent complaint, making it difficult to sleep. The overall impression from many is that the property is run-down and in need of significant improvement, with one review suggesting it "looks like a crack house" and should be "condemned." There are also mentions of odd occurrences, such as a person constantly staring from a second-floor window, adding to an uncomfortable ambiance for some guests.

Services and Amenities

Fairbridge Inn Express offers a set of basic services and amenities typical of a budget motel. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in all rooms and public areas. Each room is notably equipped with a microwave and refrigerator, which is a significant convenience for guests, especially those on extended stays or looking to save on dining costs. Some guests have noted that while an in-room microwave might occasionally stop working, a shared microwave is available in the lobby. Other in-room amenities typically include a 32-inch flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a coffee/tea maker, air conditioning, heating, and basic toiletries in the private bathrooms. Irons and ironing boards are generally available upon request.

The hotel offers a 24-hour front desk service, and a vending machine for snacks and drinks. Laundry facilities are available on-site, which is crucial for longer stays. Free self-parking is provided on-site, and there is also a secured extended parking option for a surcharge. RV/bus/truck parking is also available for an additional fee. While some general information about Fairbridge Inn Express properties mentions a "free 8-item breakfast bonanza," it's critical to note that the detailed customer reviews provided do not confirm this for this specific location, and some external sources also indicate no meals included, so guests should verify breakfast availability directly. Pets are generally not allowed at this property, with the exception of service animals.

Features and Unique Aspects

The primary unique aspect of Fairbridge Inn Express at 7200 Transit Rd appears to be its positioning as a very budget-conscious option. For travelers on a very tight budget or those in need of extended accommodation with in-room cooking facilities, it offers a basic solution. The proximity to Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF) makes it a consideration for airport-related travel, although the noise from the airport is a significant drawback. Its location on Transit Road also provides easy access to nearby amenities, such as Aldi's, restaurants, the Walden Galleria Mall, and Eastern Hills Mall. Some long-term guests have expressed satisfaction with the staff's helpfulness and the sense of safety they experienced, particularly as an LGBTQ+ couple, highlighting a positive interpersonal environment despite physical deficiencies.

However, the hotel faces numerous challenges that impact its overall appeal. The lack of elevators is a significant accessibility issue for guests with mobility challenges or heavy luggage. The widespread complaints about maintenance issues, cleanliness, strong odors, and safety concerns (like open windows) are critical factors. The small, awkwardly designed bathrooms and uncomfortable beds also detract from the guest experience. The intense airport noise is a consistent and unavoidable problem due to its direct location in the flight path. The reported issues with key cards, non-functional room amenities (TV, heater, alarm clocks), and even missing personal items (like a pair of boxers and M&M's) underscore a highly inconsistent and often problematic guest experience.

Promotional Information

As an independent or smaller chain property, Fairbridge Inn Express might not participate in large-scale loyalty programs like major hotel brands. However, like many budget-friendly hotels, they typically offer:

  • Direct Booking Incentives: Booking directly through their website or by phone might secure the best available rate.
  • Long-Term Stay Discounts: Given its suitability for extended stays, the hotel may offer weekly or monthly rates that are more economical than nightly rates.
  • Online Travel Agency Promotions: The hotel's rates may be featured on popular online travel agencies (OTAs) where occasional sales or bundle deals might be available.
  • Early Check-in/Late Check-out: These services may be available for a fee, typically around $25, subject to availability.
  • Secured Extended Parking: For a daily fee (e.g., $7 per day), guests can secure extended parking on-site.

Guests are advised to contact the hotel directly for the most accurate and up-to-date information on rates, availability, and any specific promotions. Given the highly mixed and often negative feedback, particularly regarding cleanliness, comfort, and safety, potential guests should carefully weigh the low price point against the reported deficiencies. It appears to be a hotel where expectations must be very low, and the primary draw is extreme budget consciousness or a dire need for in-room cooking facilities in the immediate area. While some individuals have found it suitable for their specific long-term needs, for a general overnight stay, the widespread negative reviews suggest a potentially disappointing experience.

PLEASE READ. Where do I even start…. My buddies and I flew out for the broncos bills game and decided to stay here since it was one of the few places that offered a three bed, bedroom. Let’s just dive right in. 1. Upon arrival, only 1/5 of the hotel is actually open. There’s barely any signage saying where to go in, and we almost thought we were scammed into an abandoned building. 2. There’s no elevators in the building. To get to the second floor, you have to walk up these stairs that you’re almost certain you will fall down because they are only 4 inches deep. 3. The ceiling is falling apart and the whole hotel reeks of smoke and wet dog or wet something… gross. 4. The key cards didn’t even work and we had to go back down just to get another set that would work. 5. Nothing works. Tv, heater, alarm clocks….nothing. 6. The showerhead was installed for people under 5 feet. We all had to crouch to just get a shower in. 7. There’s whole building is so cold, that you have to hope to god you don’t get frostbite when you walk into the tile bathroom… that barely fits one person. We were forced to use the bathroom with the door open because of how small it was.. pretty awkward views. 8. God forbid you want to sleep. The airport sits in the direct flight and landing path of the airport… so you hear EVERYTHING. I’m pretty sure I could hear the pilots announcements to avoid the hotel. 9. The bed are awful. Almost watched my buddy fall between the “headboard” and mattress because everything is so flimsy. 10. The whole trip, when we’d leave or arrive, there’s some dude on the second fooor who just sits in his window… and stares at you the entire time. No matter what time day or night… we were told the second floor was empty besides us.. another red flag we ignored. 11. The tub/shower combo sucked because I had to stand in 3 inch deep used water from my buddy who showered before me. Clean the pipes once in a while. 12. We opened a window to get some fresh air, and almost fell out the second story window because there are no safety precautions. The window just totally opens to nothing below. 13. There are NO trash cans. We found old trash, and other gross items in the room when we checked in. Had to use a fast food bag to consolidate our own trash. 14. The only reason why I gave 1 star, was because of the nice lady who was working the desk when she checked us in. She’s the only reason she gets a gold star. I hope she finds work somewhere better because I don’t know how she does it. Stay away from this hotel. It’s not worth the $120 a night. It should be $10 a night because of how awful it was. Also, a pair of my men’s boxers went missing, no I’m not joking… and whoever took my half eaten bag of M&M’s.. I will find you.

DO NOT STAY HERE. The first room we were in had a broken AC. The buttons were busted out and you were unable to turn the unit down, so the room was pumping out heat. We called the front desk and the man came up and was then texting with a manager about getting it fixed. Finally offered us another room. That room had working AC. Second room was dirty, things were broken, and only had two small towels. Also there was the $60 room deposit that we read would be returned at check out and take 3-5 business days to return to us. I called a week later and they stated the payment had been cancelled and to wait for our bank to refund. 10 days later, I called again, and they stated that the bank might take 15 days to show the cancelled charge. I called back AGAIN and was told there was nothing else they could do and to contact my bank. I JUST got through the fraud process to cancelled the charge on my account and get my money back. It has been a month a 3 days since our stay. I gave 3 stars for location because it is near that shopping trip and it was convenient in that sense.

I was excited to stay here because it advertises as a 2 ⭐ hotel. Once I walked in the door of the main entrance that all changed. First was the overwhelming smell of mold and marijuana. Then, I was told there was a 60. Security deposit (for damages) to the room that I would get back when I checked out. Once checked in and went to my room, and discovered a couch with certain stains on it that resembled sexual excretions, the sheets on the bed had cigarette burn holes and yellow stains, there was black hair in the tub and sink, the fridge did not work and the TV didn't work! There is a small trickle of water in the tub so taking a shower was out of the question. It took literally 25 minutes to fill the tub up. Not to mention the 8 different holes in the walls and two in the bathroom door! Had I not paid for the stay already and couldn't get my money back I would have walked. Oh and btw, the king size bed, yeah, you can only sleep in the middle because it says down so bad you roll in to it anyway! Brought my air mattress, pillows and blanket in and camped on the floor and I'm not even sure if I didn't contract some disease from doing that! Hands down the worst, dirtiest, disgusting and downright horrible place I've ever stayed. Do yourself a favor and look past this place unless your a streetwalker or downright dirty person, then it's right up your alley!

Room with king size bed ($59/ one nite); $ 60 deposit: 2nd night went with queen size bed for $5 cheaper ; nice clean rooms; two miles away from thruway; cable tv in rooms; no breakfast; shopping plaza and other stores within walking distance;
