Jan 01, 2025 · Bryan ChristoThe beds were very comfortable and the rooms clean. No charging areas next to the bed and few outlets so we had to charge phones in the bathroom, which was annoying. Restaurant closed for the season already which was a bummer (even though google said it was open). But the carriage house up the street was great. Otherwise great stay! The breakfast was amazing! The granola was so good and homemade.
Oct 23, 2024 · Ashtyn KaschWhat a prefect stay in the Boothbay area! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and homey. We stayed in the Pier building that overlooks the harbor. Nice balcony. Breakfast is included in the stay, which had good variety! We also went to their restaurant for dinner, which was tasty as well. Unfortunately, we came on a rainy day so we did not get to try our their lounge chairs that also overlooks the harbor. However, the next day before we left we did get to see the views from the restaurant and it's stunning! I'll definitely be back and will recommend Smuggler to any friends traveling through.
Oct 14, 2024 · Brittney TWe brought our dog to Smugglers Cove Inn on her first vacation instead of staying in a kennel. This was a new experience for us, and we brought our entire family (3 rooms in total). Some problems with the room and the plumbing the first night, but we did not say anything and it corrected itself and never happened again. And there was no shampoo in the shower. Otherwise the room was fine. Standard room you would expect. Traveling with a dog is interesting, our first night we were going to go into town, but she did not like being left in the room alone, so we stayed and got takeout from the 727 restaurant which was part of the resort, limited menu (not unexpected), but the food was good. And the restaurant staff were very accommodating and friendly. The pool was good, the view was excellent. We sat for hours in Adirondack chairs right up to the water, a very nice part of the trip. Kayak's and paddle boards were available as well, which is a really nice touch. I will point out, the staff is doing all sorts of improvements. I could see railings were repaired recently, branches trimmed, etc. Overall, really enjoyed the Smugglers Cove Inn, so little details could be improved, but the location and the people were terrific.
Aug 05, 2024 · Patrick GallagherHad such a wonderful stay! The staff is so friendly and you can tell they truly want you to enjoy your stay here. The best amenity for us was the access to kayaks & paddleboard in the beautiful cove! Had a blast going out in the water, so pretty. The complimentary breakfast was super convenient and was better than expected as most places just do the bare minimum. Location is great too, only about 10 minutes from the downtown area. Look forward to staying here again sometime!
