A roll of the dice - many reviewers seem to have had a good time but potential guests should be aware that is no guarantee. During my stay, multiple nights were interrupted for 2-4 hours due to other guests yelling and smoking in the hallway. There is nobody from the management on site to enforce any rules or guidelines. If your fellow guests are respectful of you, you may have a good time, but if not, you are truly on your own - not worth the price of admission in my view. Also, I had a cockroach in my room. I’m updating my review to add that while management was weirdly slow to respond, they at least stand by their product and refunded me. This included them fighting with Airbnb to get Airbnb’s (ridiculous) fees refunded, which I thought was impressive. If you’re having any problems with your stay try to get Antwan from sojourn support, he was great.

Located at 1905 19th St NW, Washington, DC 20009, this property operates as a boutique apartment-style accommodation, providing a more independent and home-like environment. It’s designed for guests who appreciate space, a full range of amenities for self-sufficiency, and a seamless, contactless stay within one of D.C.'s most iconic neighborhoods.
Sojourn at DuPont Place is not a conventional hotel with a 24/7 front desk. Instead, it provides individual apartments within a multi-use residential building, managed by Sojourn, a company specializing in turnkey luxury experiences for temporary stays. This model caters particularly well to individuals on medium-term business assignments, those seeking temporary housing during personal transitions like home renovations, or families who desire more space and the ability to prepare their own meals while exploring the city. The emphasis is on providing a comfortable sanctuary where guests can truly live, work, and relax as if they were in their own home.
The concept prioritizes autonomy and convenience through features like keyless self-check-in, allowing guests to arrive and settle in on their own schedule. While this means a different operational approach compared to a standard hotel, Sojourn aims to ensure guest satisfaction through responsive virtual support. Each space is thoughtfully designed with modern furnishings and essential amenities to create a welcoming atmosphere. For D.C. locals, this translates into an excellent option for accommodating out-of-town visitors who prefer independence, or for a convenient and well-equipped base for a "staycation" to delve deeper into the charm of Dupont Circle without the commitments of home.
In essence, Sojourn at DuPont Place redefines the temporary lodging experience, offering a blend of privacy and luxury that appeals to contemporary needs. It’s a solution for those who seek more than just a room, but a fully functional and comfortable living space in the heart of the nation's capital.

Furthermore, other vibrant neighborhoods like Adams Morgan and the U Street Corridor, known for their nightlife, dining, and cultural attractions, are just a short walk or quick Metro ride to the northeast.

Jun 01, 2025 · Collin SanbornWe booked a 4 day stay here. I feel they went above and beyond to help us. The only problem is that there is no elevator, therefore not handicap accessible. Without hesitation, they refunded us our money. Great staff who are easy to communicate with.
Apr 16, 2025 · Joanna MThe stay was incredible, the room was super clean and modern! The staff was very communicative throughout our stay! Will definitely recommend!
May 18, 2025 · Ulysses SanchezI have never written a review in my life, but this situation left me no choice. The hotel requires the use of third-party apps for identity verification, including mandatory selfies. It is impossible to contact the operator, and no one answers the phone. Upon arrival, we discovered the corridor was under renovation, which is absolutely unacceptable. My wife and I stood outside for 1.5 hours, unable to enter. This is outrageous! I strongly advise everyone to avoid this horrible hotel. It’s better to pay an extra $50 and choose a more decent place. We ended up leaving and going to another hotel. We expect a full refund!
Jun 25, 2024 · AlHad a great time here. The cozy room is very modern and has everything needed. Easy walking access to multiple restaurants and DuPont Circle (shops, restaurants, metro) and downtown DC. Recommend. Although I never saw a staff member, they were in contact regularly via phone and email, and quickly responsive to text messages. The rooms on the Florida St side probably hear more street noise, but it quieted down considerably later into the evening, so did not keep me from resting.
