Sonder Court Square

Just perfect. We had the two bedroom flat. The view is awesome the size is unexpected and the staff is nice and friendly. I can't believe one can have such a nice roomy place in such a great location for this price! It is also right next to a subway station so getting into midtown Manhattan is a question of 10-15 minutes.

This is a perfect place to stay if you’re looking for more space than you can traditionally find in NYC. We just wrapped up a family vacation and all 5 of us fit comfortably in the apartment. The couch bed wasn’t the most comfortable for adults but the kids slept great on it! We loved having a kitchen and the Trader Joe’s across the street was an added bonus. As other reviews have said…you can hear some street noise so if you’re a light sleeper then be sure to use a sound machine or grab some complimentary ear plugs. The subway was very easy to access and located right across the street. The area felt very safe for families with kids! Be sure to visit the state park down the street (great views of the city!) and the Court Square Diner (friendly staff and great service). Thank you to the staff at Sonder for caring for our family so well during our stay! We’ll be back!

I spent 10 days at this hotel in September 2024. I definitely recommend it. It’s right by a metro station but we didn’t hear it in the room. The room was spacious and clean. The app works well, whenever we needed new towels we got them really quickly. My friend and I thank the staff for its availability and kindness. We wanted to particularly thank Sergio and Taron for taking such good care of us !!!

A wonderful experience overall. The location was incredibly convenient, with easy access to the subway, making it a great base for exploring Manhattan which is just one stop away. The apartment itself was spotless and had everything we needed, including a kettle, a nice touch that isn’t always standard in the US! The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep and the price was very reasonable for the quality and location. The staff were also fantastic – friendly, helpful, and always on hand to assist with any questions. The only downside was the noise from the nearby train station. It’s quite loud, so if you’re a light sleeper, this might be something to consider. However, the convenience and quality of the accommodation outweighed this for us. I’d definitely recommend Sonder, Court Square, to anyone looking for a clean, well-equipped, and reasonably priced place to stay in NYC!

This location is sandwiched in between a rooftop bar and a nightclub downstairs. The unit we were in actually sounded like you were directly inside the nightclub. I am comfortable with a certain level of noise from being in the city, but I was not expecting to stay inside of a nightclub. I have stayed at many Sonder locations around the world and have been very pleased with my bookings, but this is by far the worst experience I’ve had. Sonder will not accommodate or compensate in anyway despite the fact that the level of noise is not made known when booking. I do not recommend this location. Extremely poor experience. Sonder is also aware of the noise issues and they have issues multiple noise complaints; however, they do not add this disclaimer when making bookings.
