We came here for my niece to enjoy a concert. Our stay started bad. Staff was very rude. Said they didn't have a room for us and because we booked from a third party it's not guaranteed we would get the room we booked. Finally we got a room of course not the one we booked. This has the potential to be a nice hotel but needs A Lot of work on Customer Service. It was 5 of us in the room had problems getting more towels and wash clothes. Pull out sofa had no sheets and staff didn't want to give us any sheets or blankets. Thank goodness I brought my own blanket. Finally got 2 sheets. Bad Experience will NEVER Stay here AGAIN. If I could give Zero stars I would.
For individuals seeking accommodations through platforms like "Hotels Near Of Me," Staybridge Suites Atlanta - Midtown by IHG offers an extended-stay option in a prime Atlanta location. Situated at 23 Linden Ave NW, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA, this hotel aims to provide a comfortable and convenient experience for guests, particularly those requiring longer stays, with its suite-style rooms and a host of amenities. The hotel can be reached directly at (404) 877-9495 or +1 404-877-9495.
Staybridge Suites Atlanta - Midtown is strategically located in the vibrant Midtown district, offering excellent access to many of Atlanta's key attractions and business hubs. Its proximity to Georgia Institute of Technology and the iconic Fox Theatre, both within a 10-minute walk, makes it a desirable choice for university visitors and theatergoers. Other major attractions like the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, Centennial Olympic Park, and major sports stadiums are also within walking distance or a short drive. The hotel is noted to be very close to public transportation, with the North Avenue Underground Station just a couple of minutes away, and the Civic Center Metro Station also easily accessible. This connectivity makes navigating Atlanta convenient for guests without a car.
The hotel is described as being "well used and a little run down" by some guests, indicating that while it offers functionality, it may not possess the newest or most pristine aesthetic. It's important for potential guests to be aware that the hotel is located right beside a hospital, which means ambulance sirens can be a frequent and early morning occurrence. Despite this, the central location remains a significant draw. The hotel aims to provide a welcoming atmosphere, featuring a rooftop terrace that may offer city views. As an IHG property, it adheres to certain cleaning and disinfection practices like "Clean Promise (IHG)."
Staybridge Suites Atlanta - Midtown focuses on providing services that cater to extended stays and offer home-like conveniences. Guests can expect a 24-hour front desk, ensuring assistance at any time. The hotel offers a complimentary on-the-go breakfast daily, typically available from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM, which is often praised by guests. There are also free manager's receptions on select days, providing an opportunity for guests to socialize.
For recreation and fitness, the hotel features a seasonal outdoor pool and a 24-hour fitness center. The pool is generally open from June to August, but is closed seasonally from October 1 to June 10. For business needs, a 24-hour business center and computer station are available. The hotel also provides laundry facilities, and dry cleaning services are offered, which is a significant convenience for longer stays.
Parking at Staybridge Suites Atlanta - Midtown is available through both self-parking and valet parking options, both with charges. The daily fee for either option is consistently reported to be around $50, which includes in/out privileges for valet parking. Guests with larger vehicles have noted even higher costs, with one review mentioning $70 per night for a passenger van, though it's acknowledged that parking in Atlanta overall can be costly. Pets are allowed in specific rooms for an extra charge of $75 per stay, with food and water bowls provided.
A key feature of Staybridge Suites is its suite-style accommodations, which are designed to feel more like an apartment than a traditional hotel room. Each room typically includes a full kitchen equipped with a full-sized refrigerator/freezer, stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, coffee/tea maker, and essential cookware, dishware, and utensils. This full kitchen setup is a major advantage for guests looking to prepare their own meals, offering a significant cost-saving benefit over dining out for every meal. Rooms also include a separate dining area and a living room or separate sitting area, along with premium bedding, a desk, a laptop workspace, and blackout curtains.
However, some guest experiences highlight areas for improvement regarding room quality and maintenance. While suites are generally spacious, some guests have reported issues with sofa beds, describing them as "torn to shreds" or not functioning properly, and difficulties in obtaining extra towels, washcloths, sheets, and blankets from staff, particularly when rooms are booked through third parties. It's important to note that while the rooms come with kitchens, the overall state of repair for some of the fixtures and furnishings may vary. Housekeeping services are available on request, which means daily service might not be standard.
Staybridge Suites Atlanta - Midtown promotes itself as a comfortable and convenient home away from home, particularly for extended stays, due to its suite amenities and prime location. The complimentary breakfast and manager's reception are often highlighted as value-added services. The hotel emphasizes its accessibility to major attractions and its pet-friendly policy.
Guest reviews, however, present a mixed picture. While some guests have praised the "great location," "pretty good" breakfast, and the helpfulness of specific staff members who "dealt with the issue satisfactorily and quickly," others have expressed significant dissatisfaction. Recurring complaints include rude staff, issues with room availability, particularly for reservations made through third parties, and difficulties in receiving requested amenities like extra linens. The problem with sofa beds and the high cost of parking are also frequently mentioned. These varying experiences suggest that while the hotel has strong potential and some positive aspects, there are inconsistencies in customer service and room maintenance that prospective guests should consider before booking. It would be beneficial for guests to confirm specific room amenities and communicate any critical needs directly with the hotel prior to their stay, especially if a functional sofa bed or a specific room configuration is essential.

May 13, 2025 · Joyce SaundersWe will be staying at this hotel for three nights. It is a pretty good location but right beside a hospital and an ambulance siren was a great wake up alarm at 6a today. The hotel is well used and a little run down but our suite is acceptable. We do have a kitchenette with a couple nice touches for a hotel: a toaster, dishwasher and full sized fridge. Great. We needed to use the sofa bed but unfortunately it did not cooperate...The mattress was torn to shreds and the frame work didn't really come out properly. The main reason I have given a 4 star rating is because the staff dealt with the issue satisfactorily and quickly. Check in service was great and the breakfast has been pretty good too. Parking is not cheap, we have a larger passenger van and it is I believe $70 per night but Parking overall in Atlanta is costly. The hotel is nicely located and we have been able to walk to museums, the aquarium, the major sports stadiums and restaurants.
Feb 21, 2025 · Canario FamilyI had a very disappointing experience at Staybridge Suites. I arrived at 7:30pm—well after the stated 3:00pm check-in time—only to be told my room still wasn’t ready. I waited 45 minutes in the lobby before finally being given a room at 8:00pm. Unfortunately, things didn’t get any better from there. Upon entering the room, I discovered the HVAC system wasn’t working. I called the front desk, and their solution was to offer me a downgraded room—but only if I was willing to wait again. I declined, and they sent up maintenance instead. As of 9:00pm, we were still unable to unpack or settle in because the technician was trying to fix the unit. I also reached out to Customer Service online, and while they said they’d forward my concerns to the hotel manager, that doesn’t really help in the moment. To be fair, the room itself was clean and spacious, and this could have been a good stay under different circumstances. But given that I wasn’t even allowed into my room until nearly five hours after check-in time, I cannot recommend this location. There’s simply no excuse for that kind of delay and inconvenience
May 07, 2025 · Clyde BordersWe stayed there one night and I don’t think we could have stayed any more than that. They’re so understaffed. The towels and washcloths and bedding had hair all over it and was poorly cleaned. Most of it was still wet. It was disgusting, i asked for another set and those were all dirty but one. The next morning for breakfast, we almost weren’t served because the front desk clerk didn’t give us our vouchers. The breakfast food was amazing though and the location is nice and walkable. Their people were nice but seriously they need to hire more people. Luckily we didn’t pay much but I know other people did, not worth it at all.
Mar 30, 2025 · Arianna RodriguezGot a suite with a fantastic view on the 24th floor. The hotel is old, and it inevitably shows in the walls, ceilings and bathrooms of the rooms through water stains, cracks, and hastily-repaired holes in the drywall. Additionally, the balcony access was sealed off. Otherwise, the kitchenette, layout of the room and quality were satisfactory. Hotel management was extremely unsatisfactory. 1) We paid for Valet parking with out suite, however upon arriving, valet was apparently full, and we were instructed apply for a refund for valet and pay for the garage instead. 2) Our instructed earliest check-in was 3PM, and we were told the cleaning would be complete "soon." We waited in the lobby with our luggage for three (3) hours. We did not open the door to our suite until 6:30PM. 3) The following were absent from the suite intended for five (5): Tissues not present Additional towels (only two) The pull-out couch did not have: a sheet (the mattress was bare) zero additional blankets zero additional pillows Even upon request, the additional items were unable to be obtained. Our group ended up rationing items. 4) The complimentary breakfast was held in what seemed to be a conference room, with the items strewn messily about which also lacked adequate seating. The hotel management appeared to be understaffed, and were doing their best to work with what they had.
