So let me start off with the good... Breakfast. They actually have a wide selection, there is fruit and a yogurt bar, the eggs didn't make me sick, and the coffee was fresh and very strong. Now that that's out of the way, our room was just... Bad. We got a king suite with pull out couch for travel with our daughter. The bed is rock hard, like... Don't plop down on it you might break something hard. The sheets were stained as well. The suite has its own heating and cooling that I am pretty sure uses a rocket engine for power, and of course it's in a closet 3 ft from the end of the bed. It woke me up Every. Single. Time. The doors to the bedroom are on backwards so the lock is on the outside... But it didn't matter anyways because the lock is broken and the doors don't shut, which fit since half the lights in the room didn't work either. The room has a kitchenette with a cook stove, plates, pots cups, etc... but no silverware. But at least they had free cookies at the front desk. Speaking of the front desk, the guy who checked us in was awesome and very friendly. So at least there is that.

The environment of Staybridge Suites Buffalo by IHG is designed to feel welcoming and residential, aiming for a "home away from home" atmosphere. The common areas, including the lobby and breakfast area, are generally well-maintained and aim to be comfortable. The hotel strives for a clean environment, and many reviews commend its cleanliness, with one guest specifically calling the rooms "clean." The staff are frequently highlighted for their friendly and helpful demeanor, with one reviewer specifically praising the "awesome and very friendly" front desk personnel. This emphasis on customer service contributes significantly to the overall positive atmosphere. However, it is essential to present an objective view by incorporating all feedback. One detailed review points out significant issues within a specific room, suggesting that while the general environment might be good, individual room conditions can vary. Concerns included stained sheets, an extremely hard bed, a loud and poorly located heating/cooling unit, and broken bedroom door locks and non-functional lights. These indicate potential inconsistencies in room maintenance and upkeep that could impact a guest's comfort and perception of the hotel's quality.
Staybridge Suites Buffalo by IHG offers a comprehensive suite of services and features, with a strong focus on conveniences for longer stays. A key amenity is the complimentary hot breakfast buffet, which receives high praise from guests for its wide selection, including fresh fruit, a yogurt bar, and hot items like eggs and strong coffee. This provides a substantial and convenient start to the day. For guests who enjoy cooking their own meals, a significant feature of Staybridge Suites is the fully equipped kitchenette found in every suite. These kitchens typically include a full-sized refrigerator/freezer, stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, cookware, dishes, and utensils. However, one review noted a lack of silverware, which is a detail guests might need to clarify upon arrival or bring their own. The hotel also offers complimentary high-speed wired and wireless internet access throughout the property. For recreation and relaxation, there's an indoor heated pool (open from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM) and a 24-hour fitness center. Additionally, guests can enjoy a complimentary evening social/reception on select days, offering light meals and drinks, fostering a community feel. The hotel also provides self-service laundry facilities, which is a huge convenience for extended-stay guests, and a 24-hour business center. A significant advantage for pet owners is that the hotel is pet-friendly, allowing two dogs or cats per room for an additional fee, with service animals exempt. Other services include free self-parking (including RV/bus/lorry parking), a 24-hour front desk, a front desk safe, and luggage storage.
The hotel comprises 105 guestrooms, primarily suites, designed to provide ample space and amenities for comfort. Room types typically range from studio suites to one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites, offering flexible options for individuals, couples, and families. Each suite is equipped with a 37-inch flat-screen TV with premium cable channels and a DVD player, desks, and phones with free local calls. Blackout drapes/curtains and premium bedding are usually provided to ensure a restful sleep. Accessible rooms are also available, featuring adapted amenities like grab bars and roll-in showers. The family-friendly aspect is reinforced by the availability of free cribs/infant beds and connecting rooms. Despite the overall positive description of room features, the previously mentioned negative review highlighted issues such as a rock-hard bed, stained sheets, a noisy heating unit, and broken locks and lights in their specific "king suite with pull out couch." This underscores the importance of the hotel ensuring consistent quality across all its rooms and promptly addressing maintenance issues.
In terms of promotional information, Staybridge Suites Buffalo by IHG participates in the IHG One Rewards loyalty program, allowing guests to earn and redeem points for their stays. The hotel frequently offers various promotions, including discounts for extended stays, seasonal deals, or packages that might bundle attractions or local experiences. Guests can typically find the best available rates by booking directly through the IHG website or checking major online travel agencies. The complimentary breakfast, evening social, and full kitchens are often highlighted as key value propositions. Prospective guests should also be aware of the hotel's policies, such as the minimum check-in age of 21 and the refundable damage deposit (typically around USD 100), which is collected by credit card upon arrival and refunded within 14 days of check-out. It is always recommended to review the specific terms and conditions of your booking, including cancellation policies, to ensure they align with your travel plans.
In conclusion, Staybridge Suites Buffalo by IHG in West Seneca stands out in the "Hotels Near Of Me" category as a strong option for travelers, especially those seeking extended stays or a more apartment-like experience. Its strengths lie in its comprehensive amenities, including a highly-rated complimentary breakfast, fully equipped in-room kitchens, and a generally friendly staff. The convenient location near shopping, dining, and major transport links further adds to its appeal. However, potential guests should be aware of the occasional inconsistencies in room maintenance and condition, as indicated by some reviews. While many guests report a positive experience and appreciate the hotel's value and overall cleanliness, acknowledging varied individual room experiences is crucial for an objective assessment. It is always advisable for guests to communicate any immediate concerns to the front desk to allow the hotel staff to address issues during their stay.

Apr 05, 2025 · jeremy purdomLove staying here. It's my favorite IHG hotel in Buffalo. Not far from Galleria mall, close to a Target that isn't picked over by us Canadians and down the street from Wegmans and Tops. The rooms are clean, the fresh cookies at check in are to die for and the neighborhood is quiet and safe.
Mar 23, 2025 · Christine WallWhile I was only in town for one night, the room was very nice, clean and spacious. Truly felt more like a small apartment than a hotel room. Enjoyed being able to have a somewhat normal meal, have a table to sit and eat at. Also plenty of space to work, watch TV. Not having to just sit on the bed the whole time was nice. Breakfast was standard continental breakfast. Good options and plenty of food. Lobby area was also clean and spacious. Able to sit and work while eating breakfast prior to heading out for the day. All of this for a very reasonable price. I will keep this location in mind when in town for work next time.
Oct 16, 2024 · Dan HaasAlmost every hotel has something to gripe about. The doors don't close right, there's an odd musty smell, or the food is not great. Not this one. For the price, we think we got incredible value. Our room felt more like a small apartment than it did a hotel room. Two rooms, a full bathroom, and a working kitchen. Crazy. The two gentlemen who greeted us at the front desk were funny, the hotel had a social hour with free appetizers and wine (pretty decent wine, at that). Breakfast had the largest spread of food and quality I've had at a hotel of this tier ever. Happy to be a member of this is how this chain does business; will be staying at more.
Aug 07, 2024 · Bob RichardsonAlways a great experience in this location. I highly recommend this hotel over any other within a 10 mile radius.
