I stayed at this place years ago but it was so memorable I had to write about my experience. It's definitely the worst "hotel" I've ever stayed at. So you get little cubicles stacked next to each other that are just barely bigger than the bed contained in it. You get a power socket and tiny place to put your things. The sheets had a big grease stain on the middle of it making part of it translucent. So I slept with half a sheet, avoiding the greasy part. You don't get your own ceiling as it's open above you and you can hear everyone around you. I had a hard time sleeping because they were doing a lot of construction outside. Also the A/C vent was literally right above my bed constantly blowing cold air directly on me so I quickly found out I had to wear all my street clothes to keep from getting hypothermia. After a bad night of rest, the communal restroom down the hall had maybe 4-5 cockroaches scurrying around not afraid of you at all. There were some cockroaches on the shower handle I had had to shoo away before using the shower. The shower would only give cold water so I had to take a quick cold shower. You should bring some slippers for sure. Is the stress and restless sleep worth staying in this "hotel" for $53/night? From a serious tourist point of view, probably not. But you get a shared unique traumatic experience that only people who have experienced Sun Bright will understand.

Nov 28, 2024 路 Valentina BrownDon't know whether this place ist still operating, for the good of people I hope it's not - we visited this place in 2015 on a student budget so we were actually just looking for a place to crash after days spent on sightseeing. Price was high for hostel standards, or to be more accurate - lack of ANY standards. The room was 2x2 big, it had no window, our luggage barely fit it. The air conditioning was always on and it was ice cold inside the room so I asked whether there was a possibility to turn it down a little bit, the response was 'no'. Rooms had paper thin walls, so you could practically hear someone whispering in the room beside you
Jan 31, 2023 路 Julia KaczmarczykSo the room was a hostel (own room but all you have is a bed and the room only about a foot wider than the bed). It was fine. However my family was somewhat uncomfortable staying there. I didn't stay any of night there. I tried to get a refund--they said no which is understandable because I used my room for two days (even though I didn't sleep in it). However, I checked out a day early and they didn't give me credit for the day I didn't use. The salespeople were rude and said because I checked out a hour late (but my room was untouched so they would not have to clean it) they would have to charge me for the whole day. Front office staff wouldn't even meet me halfway when I tried to compromise I was just told I paid for three days so they would charge me for it. Also there is no air conditioning (unless you count a pathetic fan) and no tv. I don't know if the owners wrote the description but I wouldn't put it past the people to straight up lie

She was a nice gal, I had high hopes for this place and when i grabbed my keys and made my way up into my room....you can forget the nice receptionist. I was greeting with a overwhelming smell of urine, my nostrils haven't been invaded like that since the year of 2012 where I worked as a sewer inspector. I was wanting my room to smell like cotton candy and a slight hint of Pineapple, not of Asparagus and 4 liters of alcohol consumed the night before whatever cretin had sprayed all over the walls of hotel room. That's right, I assume this man was also not pleased with the hotel management and had decided to leave a gift for the cleanup crew. I think they decided to go a for few brews of their own instead of deciding to clean up the torrent of florescent yellow gunk that stuck to the walls like that gunk from the Alien films. I thought about sucking it up for the whole week, but after just one day I was greeting with what I can only describe as a titan sized rat crawling around the floor. To be completely honest, I helped this little fella out because even rats need standards, so when I plopped the little creature at the front desk I was escorted out the building. I rant and raved about the urine cube room but they never listened. My stuff was handed back and I was told in some very nasty words to never return. Never got a refund either, absolutely shocking. 3/10, If I could return, I wouldn't.
